This store had good customer service. A few months ago. Visited this Middletown store this evening. Very poor customer service. I felt like I was imposing on the employees to ring my items up. I was dam near pushed out the door. For now on. I'll go too Stephen City branch. Way better customer service.

I went to buy house essentials today. I was at the self check out line. And I needed the lady to come put a code. She would just stair in my direction. Didn't say hey I'll be right their or give me a minute. She continued to help others when I had been there 20 mins I left everything where it was and went home. Honestly people who are racist or see people differently due to the color of thier skin shouldn't work in retail. Yes I believe she didn't help me cause of my color of my skin .

I'm always greeted. Employees are always busy completing some task but not too busy to assist. I've never left that store without being asked did I find everything I needed. Always a pleasure.

I've been to many Dollar General stores and this one by far the best. The store is neat and clean, not aisles full of unpacked boxes. Great prices and friendly staff. Their management should be commended for being a top notch DG store.

Well lit and clean. Staff has always been pleasant. There is a large variety of items so you can accomplish a lot in one visit, especially if you are purchasing party supplies.

Made an online purchase of 3/$11 sodas, but because they only had 2 in stock(app showed 20 in store) i was charged the normal price of $6.50 each. Couldnt find an employee in the store to ask why, and contact with online customer service yielded nothing but more frustration. This will be my first and last time shopping at any DG location.

Came here to save me from having to go to a grocery store for some canned cat food. Few cents more was well worth the stop. Store is clean and the shelves are stocked well. Friendly cashier.

I love this location because of the awesome people who work there. They always greet me when I walk in and are helpful, cheerful and approachable. The manager is great and really cares about the stores appearance and product availability. Props to Dollar General in Middletown, VA!

This particular Dollar General is a fairly large, stand alone store. However, believe me, just because it is big doesn't mean you will have room to shop or maneuver the aisles easily. There is always an abundance of new products stacked along the walkways and carts with boxes every where. One day I even scratched my ankle on some type of shelving that was sitting around as I tried to squeeze my shopping cart around a corner. The items are fairly priced but sometimes things are expensive and the quality is less than acceptable. There seems to be a high turnover with staff as I frequent this store often and only see associates for a few weeks before there is a new person. This works in the favor of couponers who are able to score penny deals (Google it) because staff can't keep up with inventory and rotating stock. Basically, with the lack of grocery stores in this area going here is the most convenient way to get basic necessities, and food without the hassle of going into Wal-Mart. Overall, you may or may not find what you need, you'll likely pay a fair price (no thanks to the app because I can never get it to work so I can't failry speak to its legitimacy), and you will need to have superior cart driving skills and good gross motor abilities to navigate the aisles without bumping into something. Lastly, you must be patient because the line is usually long and there's always someone in front of you with a month's worth of groceries in their cart. Good luck!

Grate store for a small community. Close and convenient. Workers are always friendly and welling to help. Just try to remember to not rush the customers to much out the door when getting close to closing time.

This isn’t the Dollar Generals fault but I bought a container of off brand armor all wipes (dollar store brand)and all the wipes were dirty. It looked to be the manufacturer was to blame. They were cheap so you get what you pay for!

Great store to shop at...their are many bargain prices but you must shop for them. The down side is clerk was busy stocking shelves, so had to wait at register a while before checking out. Clean store.

DG is a great place to get several items at a reasonable price. I found name brand toothpaste for a dollar. Nice cards are selling for a dollar. I bought several stocking stuffers for Christmas. I would recommend checking out DG.

They were great helped us find all the sale items for this state and then used coupons to save us over $25s not many people understand how hard times are right now!

Fairly decent Dollar General. It has most of the basics you need. Laundry detergent, groceries, trash bags, etc.
