We went to Pet Smart today and adopted the most precious little girl Orphan Annie. She definitely loves car rides. She is very sweet and loving. Didn't take her long to adapt to her new home. Working with Southside SPCA has been great. The people were very friendly to work with. The Foster family were great as well as they were able to tell us more about Annie. Thank you everyone for helping this little girl. She is definitely at her forever home.

Horrible place. Most of the staff is undertrained, one outside asleep when they are suppose to be watching the animals and another inside that won't put his phone down for a second. The admistration that is supposedly a volunteer is rude and cruel, so much as to discriminate against an employee with covid. I tried contacting the president of this organization to report these issues and Noone bothered to contact me back. Very poorly run organization.

This facility is great, but the staff and volunteers are incredible. They truly care about the animals and keeping them safe and comfortable. The dogs have room to run outside and the cats have a large space to roam. Adopt, don't shop!

Sandy the director is an amazing and caring woman.... she does so much work on behalf of the animals 365 days a week... on top of that she deals with the most sad and horrific stories that would make most people give up and crawl under a rock.The time effort and energy she puts into keeping the shelter running and caring for the animals is unbelievable...she is there for the animals.... and if she happens to tell people the WAY IT IS while doing it... well sometimes the truth hurts and people need to hear it... at least she has the balls to stick up for those that HAVE NO VOICE and deserve better!Love that woman!Leigh G

This is a top notch SPCA. We recently decided to get a dog and went to their website. There were excellent photos of dogs up for adoption. We decided on a sweet young dog and filled out an online application which asked for very detailed info. A day later we were contacted with a question about where we had gotten heartworm meds for our other dog. Seems the SPCA had actually called our vet!! I really appreciate that they dont just hand out animals. Rather, they make sure they are going to responsible people.When it was time to get our dog we were asked to also bring along our other dog. Upon arrival, both dogs, ours and the one we were considering, were able to walk together and be introduced in a calm way.....brilliant in my opinion. When adoption was complete, I left with an animal who had been spayed, had all her shots and even had her nails clipped. I was given some dog food so there wasn't a big switch in diet, a collar and a leash....for $125. I just can't say enough about the professional SPCA we have here!
