Thoroughly impressed by Nick at the register. He has the ability to keep an eye on customers who need help without leaving his register post. He's not just a 'register jockey' and tries to give everyone the attention they need, even though he's stuck at his register post. He affectively helped me multiple times without leaving his post. I hope to see him m in a position that better fits his skill set soon.

Ketchups first time at pet smart and first time at the groomers. He did surprisingly well. He’s a skirmish little/big guy and can sometimes get overwhelmed by his anxiety to the point where he lose all sense of commands. The ladies in the grooming salon were so understanding especially since I showed up the day before my actual appointment. They took me anyways! He’s a lover and loves to be loved. They exceeded my expectations. Especially since it’s a first on all points for both of us. Thank you sooooo much for being understanding and tending to my big guy.

I don’t go out of my way to post reviews, but the girl that took care of Gracie did an amazing job. I’ve never had a bad experience with her or my boy when I took him as a puppy. I’ve dealt with 5 of the staff working at the salon and I’m embarrassed because I can’t remember their names, but they do an amazing job every time!!! Thank you guys so much for amazing work!

Nice location in a Target/Home Depot anchored strip mall. Full service with fish, cat adoption, birds, guinea pigs and mice, pet grooming and obedience training. Plenty of food. Blue Buffalo rep in the store.

Clean. Animals for purchase. Nice employees. My son bought 2 beta fish and a divided beta tank. We named them Mako and Thrasher. We are going back get a bearded dragon...only if my youngest son (4years old) will hold it (since he's the one that wants it).

Haley always cuts our dog Beamer perfectly. We followed her from Short Pump to the Midlothian location. I recommend this location for the store cleanliness and service throughout. As far as grooming. Haley is why we rate this location a 5. Our pet is a family member to us. She treats him like he is a loved memeber.

These folks are just as talented as "fancier" groomers with higher prices and longer wait times. The staff are super friendly, and my dog loves going. Mikayla and Hayley are particularly great!Worth getting the Top Dog Plus package if you're nervous about trimming nails or hate brushing teeth; we always do.

PetSmart in Mechanicsville is our go to!The staff are so friendly and we know our two pups are in good hands. We've never had any haircut issues either! This is huge for me as I've had terrible experiences elsewhere. We are thankful for PetSmart Mechanicsville and their wonderful staff.

I would NEVER bring my dog back. Bought the puppy package which included cologne, nail trimming, bow and etc. My dog didn’t even smell like she was bathed nor did she smell of any scent. I didn’t ask for unscented either. Her bow was literally hanging off her head as well. They didn’t put any kind of care into my dog. This is my first time owning a dog and going to a pet groomer so I wasn’t sure of what was going on. The girl had me wait in line while a customer talked her head off for 30 mins when she could’ve told that customer to kindly wait and hand me my dog. I didn’t complain because i assumed I had to pay in the grooming area but she ended up telling me i had to pay up front AFTER the fact.. so I had to listen to them drool over cute dogs until the customer finally left and I got my dog. The whole experience was so irritating.

While I can’t speak for the store as a whole, my review is for the grooming- specifically Sarah H. She loves our dog almost as much as we do! We rescued him after he was unrecognizable due to his overgrown fur, making his first grooming experience (before we picked him up) very traumatic. His first appointment at PetSmart he was unable to get through a session without becoming aggressive. Over the last 10 months, Sarah has worked with him and he has begun to trust & love her. The rest of the staff is very kind and helpful. When I drop our pup off, I see other dogs being groomed and the staff is very patient and sweet with them. We are so glad we found a place we can trust to take our boy. I recommend Sarah to all my family and friends in the area!

Abby did an excellent job. Milo always puts up a fight when it's time for a bath and grooming. He was smelling so bad that I decided to take him to a professional. He also had some matting. I was very nervous because this was his first time going to a groomer. I went in the day before his appt to meet Abby. She reassured me everything would be fine. I told her to do what she had to do. When I went to pick up Milo, he totally looked like a different dog. He his running around with his head and tail up. Abby worked wonders. Milo will see you again.

Functional. Has all kinds of pet supplies, very good staff, but can't quite give them a 5-star. Had some issues locating the prescription dog foods, not quite in a logical place. Staff are really good, but had to ask the new girl to find it.

They have everything you need, and most animals are treated very well, however it is very upsetting to see the way the fish are treated. Especially when there are 3 dead beta fish on display. I understand they are just fish, but they really aren’t that hard to keep alive so them being dead says a lot. Still a good store, just a horrible place for the fish in it.

Took my Fur baby in for the first time for grooming. Omg not pleased at all. He was cut so short that he was unrecognizable andhe didn't even smell like he was bathed at all!Never again!!!! I took a Maltipoo in but he looked like a Beagle on way out!I was told to never go to Petsmart but someone recommended a particular person! Aweful! Never Again!!!!
