Absolutely fantastic šÆvisit to this store! Starting from the parking lot to the entrance, you will see cleanliness. Refreshing entrance with lots of colors all around you ā¤ļø. Colorful plants, fresh flowers, fresh fruits, and more. You'll see associates restocking the shelves and serving the customers with a Smile š. The isles are filled with various delightful products, [that's a problem]. Why?Because you'll find everything that you need, shopping in one place, š Oooohhhh yeah! You have got to visit Kroger! Store prices are too high. Stock can be poor because of the demand . Digital coupons are problematic and hard for seniors . Signage is purposely confusing. Staff work really hard because of demand . I find good mark downs here, but donāt not like to the gimmicks that Kroger now uses to harm their shopperās experience. You have to be in the store longer because of coupons and signage. This is not fare to senior who do not have a computer. Look at your receipts pricing can be an issue.10/31/23 ***I ask Mrs. April for price assistance because this stuff was in the basket reduce. This was in the department she was working in.

I like to shop at Kroger Marketplace in Mechanicsville. This store is close to major freeways and easy to get from Ashland, where I stayed. The produce section seemed to have shortage of products. Otherwise, this is a nice grocery store to shop on weekend.

If the meat and seafood section doesnāt open til 9:00 bc of scheduling issues then it should correct on your website. It says marketplace, deli, pharmacy. I CAME EARLY ON SUNDAY TO GET SHRIMP. Not open til 9. I spoke w manager I just wanted a handful of shrimp. He obliged after a speech. Just give me my shrimp

I usually have really Great experiences with the Kroger's I was used to in Chester, Mechanicsville, and Willow Lawn. I decided to "try" the home delivery to my new place, using the Atlee Store (Instacart delivery option). It was a terrible experience! Not only did I NOT get my groceries that I was anticipating, but noone even called or texted me to let me know the status. I was sent 1 text at 7pm for a 6-8pm delivery, and that was the last communication I received! I had to call at 10:00 P.m. to find out the status and then was informed that they were still waiting on a delivery driver. Had someone communicated that with me, I would've been cancelled the order and just either come shop in person, or used Amazon Fresh, which I usually do. Needless to say, my trust in the "Home Delivery" process has been shaken and now I don't even want to attempt a second order....pretty disappointing really, considering how much I enjoy Kroger...

Purchased chicken on 1/8/24 and it was DISGUSTING. I usually get Koger chicken because itās so good but the NEW recipe being used is horrible. Chicken is bland with no seasoning at all. PLEASE GO BACK TO ORIGINAL RECIPE!!!!!! No flavor chicken aināt it!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a cake a week ahead for my son 8 years birthday. And I called two days before the pickup day and confirm the cake order is in to pickup on Saturday. Went to pick up the cake on Saturday, the bakery manager told me there is no order on her computer. even though, I showed her my order confirmation email. Then she gave me an options either choose a cake for pre made one or we can make it in 20 minutes. Since I wanted the cake I ordered, I told her I will come back in two hours to pickup the cake. Brought the cake and it was very disappointing .The cake I ordered didnāt much with the one I got. Plus, the icing came off when we try to cut the cake also the inside was very dray . It was terrible experience. The bakery manager is very unprofessional and rude. I will never order a cake at Kroger again. I am going to speak to the store manager today.

Huge store with just about everything. Itās a very busy grocery store but seems to be run very efficiently and well staffed during peak hours. Lots of self checkout options too. Parking can get crazy with how many people are there at any given time but weāve learned to try and avoid the after work rush. Itās our go-to grocery store.

I recently had an unfortunate experience during my visit to the Kroger store located near my home. As a dedicated shopper, I have frequented this store for some time due to its convenient proximity. However, my most recent visit left me greatly disappointed and frustrated.Upon entering the store, I gathered several bags' worth of groceries, excited to take advantage of the advertised sales and promotions. With my Kroger card in hand, I proceeded to checkout and completed the transaction. However, the disappointment came to light only after I had loaded my vehicle and was about to leave. It became evident that the sales and discounts, which I had anticipated from using my Kroger card, were not applied to my purchase as expected.Seeking resolution, I promptly returned to the store and approached the Guest Services counter. There, I was met by Trinity, a representative of the store. I explained the situation to her, detailing the discrepancy between the expected discounts and the actual transaction. To my astonishment, Trinity appeared perplexed and unaware of my prior interaction with her. This was surprising, as I had just spoken to her moments before at the checkout.Regrettably, the situation escalated further. Trinity informed me that in order to rectify the error, I would need to unload my car and bring all the groceries back into the store. This unexpected request was already an inconvenience, but what followed was truly disheartening. Trinity instructed me to meticulously retrace my steps throughout the store, taking photographs of every individual item, and subsequently be re-rung at the checkout. This cumbersome process was estimated to consume an additional 30 to 45 minutes of my time.As someone who values efficiency and values their time, this entire ordeal was undeniably frustrating. What should have been a routine shopping trip turned into an ordeal that wasted a substantial hour of my day. It's disheartening to realize that a store which is conveniently located, and which I have patronized regularly, could provide such a disappointing customer experience.In conclusion, my recent visit to Kroger left me with an unfortunate impression. The failure to apply the expected discounts and the subsequent ordeal of resolving the issue was an inconvenience that I did not anticipate nor deserve. The lack of seamless customer service and the additional time wasted has led me to the regrettable decision that I will no longer be shopping at this particular Kroger store. It is a shame to bid farewell to a store so close to my home, but I believe that a higher standard of customer service and efficiency should be expected and upheld.

This is a nice Kroger, especially since the recent reno. It has a pharmacy with a good team and a Starbucks inside. The store is generally well stocked and neat in appearance. Employees are usually attentive and cordial. Parking is easy. They've recently switched to adjustable, electronic price tags that are likely convenient for the store (hello rampant inflation) but are annoyingly difficult to read.The major drawback of this and most Kroger stores is the self checkout. They never have enough lanes open, don't have enough "big" stations with belts (2 at this location) for customers making large purchases and the equipment itself is very sensitive requiring frequent attention from staff (employee Marshall is notably kind and calm). Kroger usually has 1-2 cashiers thus shifting most customers to self checkout. I get it but finish every visit frustrated because Kroger expects customers to do the work then doesn't give them the tools to do it well. For this reason, I've switched most of my shopping to vendors other than Kroger but would return if they ever address this problem.

This store is really big and kind of overwhelms me, but it's super nice and clean. I love doing my pickup orders here because they consistently have all the things I want in stock, unlike the other Kroger location within a similar distance to my home. Really makes life easier when I can actually get everything I wanted without having to make all kinds of substitutions!

This is basically the only place I shop for groceries. Like everywhere, prices have risen dramatically. I know why they do it, but placing the dairy, meat and produce sections as far apart as possible is really annoying. There are a number of long time employees at this store who truly care, and go out of their way to help. I would use pickup or delivery more often, but the pickers seem to be trained to select the undesirable meat and produce, so I only use that for packaged goods occasionally. Overall, shopping here is not that bad (at least until the next reset).

the customer service was amazing!! i was checking out my groceries and a person named marshal he was so nice! made sure i found everything help us out when we had problems with the checkout and was super nice the whole time even when it was 5 minutes till close made us feel super welcome.

Prices are getting jacked up (greed). The fruits and vegetables look horrible most of the time. No longer the affordable high quality store it once was. Employees are rude, basically throwing and slamming my groceries toward the bagging area. Letting it all pile up and crush everything. Definitely have some employees not happy working there. Store seems very unorganized since the reset. Can't find anything. Items out of stock forcing you to purchase more expensive items. Never enough lines open for checkout. If i'm spending $300-$400 on each visit i'm damn sure not doing self checkout. Give me the discount you are saving by not having that employee and maybe I'll consider it. Customer service in this store has gone downhill.

I have been wavering about even returning to shop at Kroger because of numerous bad experiences and this latest experience has me convinced not to return.Wrong pricing in the system. Item are marked clearly with prices and when you check out, ring up differently.When I complained about it, was told this happens all the time!(Really? Then why hasn't it been fixed?)Groceries are expensive enough already so I really don't appreciate wrong prices being input into the system.My complaint comes on the heels of many things that have left me with a very unpleasant impression about Kroger, which is sad because at one time I had really like Kroger.

The people who work here from the cashiers, pick up & stockers are some of the nicest most helpful employees I've ever met.Unfortunately, the management appreciation for these individuals is Not reciprocated. Might come in with a recording device next time & post to the news.Been shopping at this store for a couple of months now & the produce manager curses and yells at the assistants across the produce area. Down right disrespectful. I've had to tell her before that's rediculus and I have children present what is wrong with her?! The cashier's don't get the breaks owed to them. Mine had to run to the bathroom even though she told her front end manager multiple times that she desperately needed to go. She finally politely excused herself from me & I encouraged her to go. Front end manager finally stepped up and finished checking me out. I told him "when you gotta go, you gotta go."All of these managers in this particular store need some serious sensitivity training. Next time I come in here, I'll be sure to talk to a store manager about these in human indecencies.

Kroger you have a great selection, please donāt make me go to Food Lion. Schedule cashiers and baggers. Teens still need jobs. Having to check yourself out with a full cart is annoying. You should also want us to shop inside instead of pickup in the parking lotā¦. Add on sales, impulse buys. Bottom line.. self checkout is terrible customer service.

Iāve been using my customer Id number for years. For some reason the self checkout register didnāt recognize it today. Lady monitoring area did not love her job and I felt I was bothering her.I apologized and thanked her even the register didnāt work for her either. She totally ignored me, obviously irritated that I bothered her. Turned out it was a problem with Kroger not me.

I have been shopping at this store since they closed Parham Road location and open the marketplace on Atlee. It used to be my number 1 store for selection and prices, not so much now. They provide coupons based on my shopping but not useful if items not available. Even with the coupon discount their prices are higher than Food Lion. .There insistence to rearrange the store every 3 years is absolutely ridiculous. Even though mayo is a condiment it will not be on the same aisle as mustard and ketchup. They should spend the money on organizing the store which always has stock or basket left by employees on break. You have to work around those baskets, the online orders being filled, stock people and then other customers. The two stars are for the 2 employees who were very friendly. One in seafood and one that assists in self checkout. The deli ladies at the last 2 visits just rude. Spend money on employee training.

First visit here yesterday. Big produce department but select fruit and vegetable freshness was questionable (especially beefsteak tomatoes). Deli was good and sushi was very good. Food aisles well stocked (5 PM visit). Checkout was painful. Started in a full service checkout lane, but line was not moving. Frustrated, I moved to self checkout. I had a number of larger sized items, which wonāt fit in the single ply small bags. I asked the employee working in the area if I could just scan the items, and just put them back in the cart, and was told no. Instead, I had to place them on a shelf above the bags until I finished paying, forcing me to touch everything twice. For me, nothing is morefrustrating than a store making it hard for me to payā¦and this Kroger made it harder than it should have been. For that reason, not likely to return.

For such a big store, theyāre never stocked. Always out of the dog food we get. Never stock specific veggies we get. But if youāre looking for clothes and shoes, thereās plenty. Seems odd for a grocery store.
