Just waited in line for 40 minutes to have the rudest pharmacist - not to mention the fact that my prescription “was on hold” although the app said ready for pick up. She didn’t ask to see that or anything - just told me that “well you’re out of luck nothing I can do goodbye” and also would not sell an over the counter medicine that is listed for sale in the drive thru on the window she was yelling behind.

If you go anytime during the afternoon/early evening, be prepared to wait FOREVER. I typically spend at least 30 minutes in line at the drive thru, slightly less in-store at the pharmacy. And never EVER expect your order to be ready - I always check the app or call to make SURE my prescription is ready before going. Multiple times I've been told it would be ready for pickup in an hour or two, only for it to be 4 or more hours in actuality. NOT the fault of the great people who work there - they can't help being SEVERELY understaffed.

I had a pleasant experience today! This was my first time at this location and I had some goodRx coupons to use. The pharmacist and the techs were helpful at getting those applied and getting me checked out! It did take a while but the place was popping and I thought they did a great job handling everyone!

After the counter person said I was checked in (to receive my Covid shot), I waited a full hour as people arriving after me got in and then left. I then went to the counter and asked the pharmacist if I was, in fact, checked in. She said no. When I complained, she offered a very hollow apology.They won’t get a second chance to waste my time.

My husband & I had appts for Covid vacs at the same time. I called CVS and told them my husband could not come at the appointment time because we had a repair man at our house. I asked what I should do. She said "No problem -- he can come in later today." Just now he came in and checked in with the desk and sat for an hour because NO ONE CHECKED HIM IN AT ALL. We understood it might take awhile since we missed the initial appointment time, but they just left him hanging for an hour. He finally went up to the counter and said "What's the deal?" and she said you are not checked in. So they initially told him he WAS CHECKED IN and then just let him sit for an hour for nothing.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy in Virginia. Please hire new management for better customer service or just shut the pharmacy down. Slow, unprofessional, unreliable, and incompetent staff at this location.

This pharmacy is horrible….I have had multiple issues with them not doing their job or filling prescriptions as they are supposed to. My wife has epilepsy and I called in a vital medication that she was out of, the pharmacist told me it would be ready after 6pm and I didn’t get off work till later so I got there at 11pm…(this is why I switched from Kroger because they are a 24hr pharmacy.) So I get there and they say that the insurance denied it….I didn’t have any cash or my wallet on me which I would have if someone had called and said hey this is what’s going on …the pills were 280$ where at Kroger with good rx I can get it for 18$. I didn’t have the chance to switch it to Kroger because no one called to notify me that they could not fill it and only told me when I got there. My wife missed her medication and ended up in the hospital having 6 seizures because of this. All could have been avoided if someone had made a simple phone call and let me know hey I know we said it would be ready after 6, but insurance kicked it back…..take your business somewhere else.

Why are they so rude? I don't get it. I called to see if they do Strep tests. I was connected to the pharmacy, not knowing that the lab portion "minute clinic" is separate. They were rude to me for even asking about the test. I asked if they could transfer me to the minute clinic then and they said no, they don't have a phone (what??) and so I asked if they do walk ins and she rudely said she didn't know. Excuse me, you don't know if the lab literally five feet from you does walk ins?

The drive thru is ridiculous. Majority of the time the line is so long and takes forever. Few of the staff are very nice and respectful. However, some really need more training. I understand how overwhelming it can be, but talking to a customer as if you're above them, talking over them, interrupting and trying to blame the customer is just insane. I love that it's 24 hours, but this pharmacy is just awful.

I work most days therefore was not aware that the pharmacy closes for lunch. I showed up at closing time before leaving on an extended vacation and was told that I would have to come back when they opened back up. I explained that I had the car packed and was leaving on vacation. Basically was told too bad. It takes 3 minutes to check someone out. I worked retail for years and many days I didn't get lunch. A prescription is a necessity. Manager said that they cannot accommodate a few minutes. For the time it took to argue she could have gotten my prescription

Worst pharmacy I have ever used. Have never been able to call and not wait at least 20 minutes on hold. Then if you call to fill a prescription they say it will be ready in an hour. Every single time I go it is NEVER ready. The staff is unbelievably rude in the pharmacy too. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Thank god for the Walgreens across the street. They have FANTASTIC customer service and prescriptions are always ready when they say they will be. CVS needs to take notes!

I feel bad saying this but this minute clinic is kind of horrible. Last year it was much more efficient. They leave you sitting in the waiting room even if you have an appointment they do not come out to say hey just a few more minutes or hey we’re alive back here… nothing. There’s just no acknowledgement whatsoever. There is not even anyone working at the front to ask for a manager. It’s a self checkout. 😑

CVS overall seems to be struggling. Another location I go to for my mom is the absolutely worst. This location at least consistently has friendly people….it just seems maybe new rules from above? Why not stagger instead of close for lunch? I’m sure there is a reason but that is a tough time to close when many customers are also on lunch break.Walked in tonight to pickup a prescription (that I had confirmed on my app was ready to be picked up). While in line I hear the pharmacist doing his best to deal with an obvious frustrated customer on the phone that seemed determined to take it out on him when they needed to contact their Dr. Over heard a cashier ready to go home because people have just been rude. I am big on customer service but I also understand how hard it is to be the one giving the customer service when you have to deal with difficult people.I walk up to a lady going between two registers to be able to checkout double the amount of customers. She was friendly, an obvious smile under her mask. She was quick and got me in and out in no time. May be spelling her name wrong but thank you Trinette! We appreciate you doing your very best with a smile regardless of other customers you have encountered today!

This place is way too slow. In the drive thru and going inside. They also take way too long to put the medicines together. I'll come from the doctor an hour later and my meds are still not ready.

In the last several months there seems to be longer and longer wait times with several working in the pharmacy itself but usually only one waiting on customers. Today I arrived with only 2 in front of me and I still waited for 30’ before I was helped. Additionally their always seems to be problems with insurance or billing which increases the wait time even longer. Only plus is this is a 24 hour location which is convenient for some.

(HIPPA VIOLATION) 8/15/22 at 7am... Worst customer service I have ever experienced in pharmacy. I work bedside and in the medical field and I'd be fired or suspended if I was as unprofessional and disrespectful as they are. I hope something will done about this. My sons medication isn't a shortage so there is really no reason why it's not available unless the people ordering it aren't being productive. My mother and I for 3 days kept trying to get my sons medication we kept being told to come back in a hour, 15 mins, 30 mins everytime we came back was told to come back again...my mother the last time came back through the drive thru sitting there waiting to be served and they walked up and closed the blinds to window with her sitting there. We tried to get medication transfered to cvs on atlee ..atlee cvs kept telling us they need to release script so when we would go back they would tell us they don't have to do that. So I go back there and I'm waiting no one in line but 2 people waiting who was waiting awhile. I walk up to counter the 2 ladies look at me and continue gossiping about a co worker, and would scrape medication and stop to talk then keep working finally when their conversation was done the one girl came to counter and said the ladies name and her medication was ready (lady was sitting) still didn't Greet me or ask me to step aside so I know this lady name and ger medication she Is on (hippa violation) the kind lady said I've been waiting go ahead help her. The lady at cvs looked at me I told her what I was there and my concerns she said we don't have it we just don't have it not much I can do about it. I told her you and others here kept telling us to come back and for a medication yall never had in stock my son has to withdrawl because yall kept saying yall was going to fill out I could've prevented this if I knew the situation and they never transferred it so couldn't get it else where (it's not a narcotic so it can be transferred) the lady at cvs said we don't have it ..I said well your not the one with a kid at home withdrawing from his medication and you and yourco workers kept telling me to come back it could have been avoided of you was doing your job and not gossiping with co worker and talking about your days off (do that in the break room ) The cvs worker got rude with me said I'll just transfer all your prescription so you don't have to come back here I told her I don't give consent to that and dont touch my prescriptions ( I used some profanity) she said just domt come back and I'm not allowed in the store..I told her have her manager ban me she wouldn't because she was wrong. I'm walking away at this point she yells ill have all your prescriptions transfered. Thanks to Atlee cvs who did understand my frustration and after that called other cvs had prescription transferred and went through all their new shipment to find my sons medication and get it filled! The girl who was nasty to me always is like that .. looks like she doesn't want be there and work but gossip and has poor customer service. I've been going to that cvs for years! I will not anymore ill only go to see if anything was done. If my complaint isn't handled professionally I will get outside source/help with my concerns and complaint. I know policies and procedures..hippa violation accusations is automatic suspension to be investigated.

I am originally from the west end and their cvs drive thru pharmacy is way quicker.The service here at the drive thru in mechanicsville, is very very slow. You will wait about 15-20 mins if not longer in line without it moving. It’s very slow service. Inside is even worse. There is never enough workers. I don’t understand. The whole point of drive thru is so you won’t wait so long. But it’s bad service.

If I could give ZERO stars I would!!! …. Someone at this place needs to take business classes or something! How they run their pharmacy is ABSURD!! They will let you wait in line for 45 minutes then shut the window in your face and say they are taking lunch!! I get it … short staff.. have to close to lunch , that’s fine! BUT CUT YOUR LINE OFF AND THEN FINISH THE ONES IN IT BEFORE YOUR LUNCH!! Don’t continue to let your customers line up and wait and wait while you know good and well they will not be taken care of till you’re back from lunch. VALUE YOUR CUSTOMERS CVS!!! EVERY BUSINESS CUTS THE LINE OFF!!!!! They do not just have you wait and say “oh well I’m leave” ….. ABSOLUTE WORST!!

Worst experience ever. I arrived to my appointment in the minute clinic 5 minutes ahead of time, go to check in and the kiosk is not working so I waited 10 minutes while someone else was in their appointment only to be told that I was 5 minutes past my grace period. I was told I need to reschedule the appointment when I was on time but couldn’t check in because the machine was broken. This is absolutely the worst customer service especially when dealing with healthcare. The nurse was unprofessional and heartless. If there was a way to give no stars I would. Horrible experience

I don’t know who they’re required to hire but the pharmacy is absolutely the worst and rudest people we dealt with. My wife was called two days that a prescription was ready and it never was. The two pharmacy techs were clueless what they were doing and we are so baffled at how rude and having an attitude doing their job. They were literally arguing with us about some drops. They Didn’t want to check other locations nor give us the location of where it was because they assumed it was out everywhere. And guess what, the other store had it. We are pulling every single prescription including our childrens and taking all our business elsewhere. This CVS should restaff the entire pharmacy.

Received confirmation that my online photo order was ready but when I arrived to the store to pick up my items one of my canvas' wasn't there. It even said that I ordered 2 and had 2 printed and they wanted to argue that it was only one. Neither woman knew what was going on and seemed angry that they had assist me. It then took them almost 30 minutes to print me another one. They didn't offer me any assistance or discount for the inconvenience, despite having to wait with my child for the new one to print. Very disappointed and will never order anything bigger than basic prints from them again. If I find a good deal, I'll get it printed at another location.

I am giving this location one star because on 8/13/2022 I went to pick up my prescriptions. One is not covered by my health insurance. When I presented the lady at the window with my goodRX she accepted. Then stated it didn’t work and I would have to come inside to fix the matter. I stated “I don’t have the ability to walk far distances and was in a great deal of discomfort.” This woman did not care and stated “I guess I’ll put the prescription back then.” I had to pay much more because she refused to help me or at the window and insisted that I come inside to retype or Texan the goodRX card.

I have used CVS in various states for as long as I can remember and have never had issues.Since switching to this CVS, I wait anywhere from 15-30+ minutes on the phone to check to see if a prescription that was put in hours before is filled for no one to answer.Just today, I had two different phone lines (used my finances phone and my own at the same time) and was on hold for over 30 minutes. I finally drove to the pharmacy as we were waiting nearby at a restaurant because we live 30 minutes away and when I arrived I was told only one of my prescriptions was ready. The chose not to call me and tell me the insurance was not willing to pay for one until the next day. It was a $7.50 prescription. So when I asked for it to be filled I was told it would be another 30 minutes.I also asked if the phone lines where down and when I got the response, "no they are working," I asked why then was I on hold on two different lines for over 30 minutes? The response was, "well only one person can answer the phone." This is absolutely unaccaptable as this is a hindrance on patients health when the need medications.The other issue I have is that I constantly get told I have zero refills on prescriptions through the automated system when in fact I have multiple refills. It's a hassle to then have to call and wait on hold for an unknown length of time just to make sure I do have refills that are needed.I try very hard to have patience but this is not the first time I have had these issues and I'm absolutely fed up.I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on!

My wife is suffering end stage AML leukemia and today her hospice nurse called for a doctors prescription for pain medicine. This cvs location told him they had the medication and that it would be ready at 5 pm, which was several hours wait to begin with. 5pm came and went and I hadn’t received any notification to pick up prescription yet. At 7 pm, I decided to go up there and they told me they didn’t have it and they’d have it in next week. I called the hospice nurse back to tell him they don’t have it and he was a bit confused. He called them back and the pharmacist said that someone picked up the last batch right after he called. A complete lie.Meanwhile my wife is suffering in agonizing pain while the rude pharmacist rolled her eyes unapologetically. This is a fine example of utter incompetence

I've been hung up on, interrupted constantly, ignored in line, and I'm over it. I've only been going to this pharmacy for 2 months and it was 2 months two many. I got an automated call telling me my prescriptions were ready for pick up, so I drove 30 minutes to go get them to wait in the drive thru line for 30 minutes to then be told only 1 is available due to regulations. I get another automated call the next day that my medication is out of stock, and then hear nothing for a week. After calling and waiting on hold for 30 minutes, the pharmacist answers and interrupts me 6 times before I can finally say what I'm calling about. The medication is still out of stock and can't be filled for another week, meaning I'll be out of my pills for 6 days. Called another location to see if they have it in stock, was answered within 5 minutes, and got great service. Never going to this location again.

Millions of people without jobs right now and these people at the pharmacy legitimately don't care about having theirs. I'm sure those without a job and are looking for one can do a thousand times better.. I transfered my prescription over here for convenience, but instantly regretted it when the woman hung up the phone on me. ZERO customer service skills or phone etiquette. I'd rather make the drive to another CVS just so I don't have to deal with the BS. Listen to the other reviews before you regret it, too.

The staff is rude and my medication is consistently out of stock that I have automatically refilled on a monthly basis. Poorly managed across the board.
