We honestly found this place by chance and I’m so glad we did! It was so neat to be able to look through the windows in the retail store and see the employees making candy. They had a great selection of candy by the pound and they even had a large selection of sugar free candy.

Super place to stop in for some sweets, rather it be fudge, hard candy, or sugar free candy they have it all. They have handicap parking, outdoor picnic tables, and plenty of smiles and the friendlest staff along with the best mist delicious products.

Amazing experience!!! The store was not open to the public... I went up to the door and peeked inside... The staff let us come in and explore. There were so many things and delicate candies. The orange dreamsicle fudge is divine. The store was immaculate. I love the fact that you can pick one flavor jelly bean... And they have buttered popcorn flavor! This is a great spot for the family or even a sweet date with your hunny. This place is a true gem in Meadows of Dan. Definitely recommend!

Want to feel like a kid in a candy shop. Say less, this place has it all in abundance. I literally had to run out of there because it’s too good. The staff was very helpful, especially Dana. She was amazing and so delightful. Ty for giving us a wonderful experience

Nancy's has a great variety of sweets and treats. Their fudge is out of this world! You can get a sample before you buy, but they are all so delicious. Their peanut brittle is really good too. The staff there is friendly and nice to talk to. It's a great place to stop if you're visiting the blue ridge parkway.

Great selection of fudge, truffles,and other assorted chocolates. Plus rock candy, jelly beans, chocolate covered pretzels, and more! Staff is extremely nice and helpful. But be warned, so easy to spend lots of money here because everything looks so good!!!

Something smells fishy in the candy shop. My friend and I go here a few times a year because we like the chocolate. However today something odd happened. We both purchased our usual treats from the fresh made batches. In light of Covid we’ve been trying to pay with exact change. My Candy before tax was $6.09. I had my money ready, minus tax, but was surprised when she said my total was $6.71. As I’m walking out the door I’m calculating the taxes in my head and I look at my receipt and I see TAX $0.38 (6.2%) and TAX 2 ...$0.24 (3.9%) We look at my friends receipt and she just has one tax showing on her receipt. I go back in for an explanation and I’m told first by the lady running the resister that she does not know why and that sometimes “there are 3 taxes” on the receipt. WHAT?? She then asked to see my friends receipt. We showed her and she says it’s because my friend got sugar free candy and I did not. WHAT??? As I’m still questioning her trying to make it make sense to me a gentleman that works there comes over. She asks him and he’s just as baffled but after she mentioned the sugar free scenario again that’s when he agreed that was the reason. So there’s an additional tax on sugar now???? The store was pretty busy and I did not want to hold up the other customers any longer. I contemplated returning the candy on principal but I didn’t but I won’t be returning unless this mystery can be cleared up. I checked Patrick County Virginia’s tax rates and it says maximum as of September 2021 (this month) is 6.3%. What am I missing? Can anyone explain this? I’ll be calling Virginia’s tax department for clarification on Monday morning hoping for a clearer explanation.

I love this place. I have to stop everytime I'm anywhere near there. They have the best fudge and largest variety of anywhere I've been to in a long time. They also sell nostalgic candy from my childhood and even my parent's childhood as well.Dietary restrictions: Sweets, sweets and more fantastic sweets 😋

Nancy's Candy company is a great 👍👍😃 place to know about. A lot of people work there making people happy everywhere. They have a good presentation on the web. We LOVE the truffles. They make the medium and large.truffles with many different fillings. Nancy's Candy company also make many flavored fudge, various dark and milk chocolate. They have a dozen or more sugar free chocolates.... don't bring your kids in here. If you do bring your kids you will want to make they very very happy with lots of wonderful delicious different flavored candies. Did you ever hear of sugar rush.This factory is and has been a WONDERFUL source of treats. We live a thousand miles away and detour here on the Blue ridge parkway a short distance past the Maybry Mill at the meadows of Dan.

First time visiting...OMGOSH!!!😻 You can actually watch them make candy in the "kitchen" at the back of the store. The assortment of homemade fudge & truffles is unbelievable; not to mention the variety of other candies (an entire wall of Jelly Belly's). If you've never been, trust me...it's well worth the ride. (I spent a lil over $16 and came out with a pound of fudge & candy.) I'll MOST DEFINITELY be making a day trip out that way again just for this.

My husband's coworker brings some of the candies from here every year at Christmas. Each year I am like a kid waiting for Santa for these candies! They are the most delicious, decadent candies I have ever tasted, and I have tried every candy shop in every town I've ever visited! I am definitely planning a trip here!

Due to Covid-19 it was obvious that curb side would be our option this year for our annual candy run when in the area. We ordered our normal candies as always by placing the order with a male worker that seemed to hate his life and job. We received our order and got almost out of the parking lot to discover the shop had wrongly filled the order with Fudge? We return and tell the man that the order in the bag was incorrect. He proceeds to argue with us about what we said when we ordered, even the order sheet was correct, and never once did anyone say anything about wanting fudge? He then proceeds to lecture us on choice of wording because he couldn’t understand what we were asking for... We always get salted caramels coated with milk chocolate and coconut Bonbons. This is exactly how we ordered and yet he filled the order with fudge? Anyways I hope this review finds the owners of Nancy’s candy and they do something about this terrible employee with no customer service skills or hospitality. I’ve had better service at a truck stop restroom than what happened here today. Highly disappointed, but the candy is still delicious as ever so I’ll give you that.

Received some fudge as a gift. Tried the pecan fudge. There were only 2 crumbs (smaller than a pea) in the whole peice (about the size of a hockey puck). Very disappointing and underwhelming.
