Great location with clean rooms, including pet friendly rooms! Have stayed here multiple times with our three dogs in order to go hiking and watch the local hockey team down the road at the Apex, absolutely love it! Owner is the nicest guy, he recently took the place over and renovated the rooms. They're simple but comfortable for a few nights. Internet is pretty fast as well.Rooms: Pet friendly

Fox Mountain Inn is an absolute treat. Reminiscent of the Route 66 motels with updated amenities. Quiet hillside overlooking farming community.Beds are very comfortable. Sheets are fresh and clean. Heating and air works well and the low fan setting is quiet.Definately will stay again.Convenient to fueling stations and a delicious Mexican restaurant called Cholula.

Fox mountain inn has very clean and comfortable nonsmoking rooms. The rooms have two queen beds and a large smart tv. It has everything you need from complimentary WiFi to a mini fridge, microwave to hair dryer. A quiet pretty location with a mexican restaurant next door and a rest stop minutes away makes this inn quite convenient for anyone traveling.The service was incredibly friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and the kids had a good time. And it was an affordable price too.I will definitely be returning during next year's trip.

What an experience! Sukhi, the owner, is a wonderful human with immaculate attention to detail when it comes to the cleanliness of the rooms. He stayed up late to make sure I got in okay (I was driving and didn’t get in until 1130pm). There’s a reason places like this get booked quickly. Absolutely a hidden gem right off of the highway in Max Meadows, VA. Thank you Sukhi!

The owner is sweet as can be, but the room cleanliness was far from acceptable, unfortunately. There were multiple dead bugs on the floor, the sheets had old blood stains on them, which made me super uncomfortable, the tub was stained on the bottom indicating it’s not cleaned well, and the tops of the wall borders had a lot of dust and hair built up, so the rooms are clearly not cleaned in detail. It worked for a last minute room on a long car trip, but I would very much encourage the owner to replace the bedding and change its cleaning routine.

Overall this place was okay. Liked that it was off 81 and our dog had lots of room to walk, very quiet and felt safe. However, the beds were very uncomfortable, old spring mattress that made noise when you sat on them. The toilet felt like it was going to fall over when you sat down and stood up. Could have been cleaner. There was hair in the bath tub. Owner said he would give us a better rate if we didn’t us third party booking but he didn’t. Charged same price as apps. We would probably stay again just for the convenience of our dog and ease of travel.

"Professionally cleaned". I can usually put up with a lot, but this one was by far the worst I have ever experienced. My experience spans from almost the entire east coast(Yes, even New York) all the way to western and northern Europe for business.First off, the bed sheets had pee stains as well as other various stains I couldn't determine. Dirty towel left in the floor in the bathroom from previous customers. Black spots all over the mini fridge.Secondly, the owner lied to my third party booking agency and denied refund. Then I spoke with the owner and showed picture and video proof of my experience. Then suddenly contacted my third party booking Agency and allowed a refund. I hope this review will warn any new customers to be wary of this motel and recommend elsewhere, because I don't know how this place received such high reviews.Thank you

Excellent. I’ve stayed at many motels across the US and this is one of the best. Affordable, easy access to room from parking lot as well as easy access to highway. Often motels don’t feel safe but this place feels safe and you can tell the owner doesn’t put up with rif raff. As a low income housing provider myself I know That many of these places will concede and take in the weekly and Monthy rentals but I assure you this is not one. It’s the perfect stop for a traveler. If you are reading this looking for a place to stay for the night stop here with confidence. I have wanted to stay many times in my trips to ride bicycles down south from my and finally stopped on the way down and also on the way back this past weekend.

What a great place to stop on a long trip from Toronto to Myrtle Beach! We stopped on our way there and liked it so much that we stopped for two nights on the way back to Toronto to be able to fit in another golf game (check out the Draper Valley Golf Course...it's beautiful). The owner is a gem and goes out of his way to make you comfortable and happy! The rooms were affordable, clean and large with a small fridge and microwave. Can't wait to go back next year!

Suki is the gracious host of this quaint motel in Max Meadows. The room was clean, well furbished and a welcomed rest from our travels. Fox Mountain Inn is easy to locate, beautiful view and has Cholula family owned Mexican restaurant right next door. We even were gifted with a double rainbow during our stay. Thank you, Suki. We absolutely loved our stay at Fox Mountain Inn. We were traveling with our 2-year-old daughter and our 10-year-old Beagle; both were very comfortable. The owner is so sweet! We called to book a room, and he even went I to the room to turn on the AC and TV so we would be comfortable when we arrived. When we were leaving early the next morning, he came out and offered us some fresh coffee for the road. The room was cozy and clean. Very nice stay and highly recommended to all travelers!

I was so impressed by the level of cleanliness and comfort at this place! The owner was gracious and very helpful with all asps of my visit, . I drive a tractor trailer and he cans out with a flashlight help me park safely, he was courteous beyond belief , what a great experience for me to stay here. The room was extremely clean and comfortable in all aspects! To top things off, there is a clean and very reasonably priced restaurant on premises where I enjoyed some excellent Mexican food and a refreshing cold beer as well !! I recommend this place without any hesitation at all !!

After having actually stayed here one night I really wondered if the glowing reviews were for the same place. The good: scenery - beautiful view and sunset -and no highway noise even though 81 is 1 minute away. Seemed clean. The bad: the beds were so soft and seemingly of poor quality I had to sleep diagonal backwards. Noise: every time my neighbors turned over in bed I was awakened by a loud creaking sound. I finally gave up and got up at 2:30 am. Since I had specified that I preferred a quiet room and there were no more than 4 rooms occupied I am mystified as to why the guy couldn't space us out more and leave an empty room between. The place seemed relatively clean and the wifi worked. Excellent location. Too expensive for what it was. For the same price you can get a really nice room in one of several chains nearby. I wanted to support the small business owner and I'm sorry I did.Edit: since the owner asked WHY?? the room was in "disarray": a) it is customary to leave wet towels on the floor and in fact most hotels ask guests to do so; was I expected to clean the room too? b) I just said it was impossible to sleep on the cheap mattresses but they were not "thrown off the frames;" the blankets were pulled up in an attempt to create a position in which I could sleep; I always turn off wifi at night; microwave was set to wrong time and all the lights were an additional disturbance in the tiny room. Was it really so challenging to plug them back in? I omitted to mention the cigarette burns on one of the pillow cases because I was trying to be nice along with the 3 star review which is undeserved. Should be one star for the view. Again, I'm sorry I gave my business to this place. They got 85 bucks and I got no sleep.

Hey this a really good motel they work with you I'm a trucker. The guy in the Front Desk take me back to my truck and pick me back up because it was not finish. The guy up Front is a really good guy and clean rooms.Only a Loves and DQ in walking distance easy.This a really good place I would come again.

Called a couple of days ahead of time to book a room, the owner gave a price was cheaper than advertised on the booking sites. I'm always weary about roadside motels, but this one DID NOT disappoint! The owner was super friendly, very attentive and eager to make our stay great! We checked in around 11 PM and he was there with a big smile to greet us! The room was very clean and smelled nice! The beds were comfortable !! I loved that this is a completely non smoking motel! They are under new management and are still making improvements!! Very quiet, no issues with hearing loud people in other rooms. We will definitely be staying again when we are in the area again! Thank you for the great stay!
