Small but fun adventure. My husband and i went just the drive there was worth it with all the beautiful scenery that surrounds it. We were greeted at the front desk and welcomed and informed of all that they had to offer. The animals were all very friendly and all in all it was a great experience! (They did mention they are in the process of expantion)

We purchased 3 bags of feed for the animals while we were there for a family of 5 to use. I highly suggest buying more than one bag. You will use it up between the petting zoo and the Safari ride. The whole family had a great time, kids rang from 6-12 yrs old. They do offer a military discount, make sure you have your military if with you for them to honor it.

Amazing place, the people are all incredibly friendly and know everything about the animals under their care. You can tell how well these animals are treated. They are all healthy looking and extremely interactive. They come right up to the bus on the safari. The guide was very informed and good at answering all questions as well as explaining everything as we passed. My favorite was Jumper. If you are ever in the area I highly recommend this place. I will absolutely be going back next time I'm in VA. Highlight of my whole trip.

On our way home from summer vacation we had the greatest detour to this beautiful feeding zoo. We were able to feed the babies as we awaited the bus. Once aboard the bus we were surrounded but some of the most beautiful and friendly animals we have ever seen! The staff was amazing as well educating in entertaining along the way. Although the day was hot the breeze from the bus was refreshing. We got to feed so many animals and learn about their habitats. Can't wait to go back. If you don't buy enough feed in the store they sell it on the bus which was great because the girls ran out. Just have cash for bus purchase.

The people here are very nice, and it's very kid-friendly. There are a number of animals (llamas, alpaca, camel, water buffalo, pigs, herons). You can buy food to feed the animals, and the warnings not to pet the animals are clear. Riding on the bus is fun, but the camel is a bit aggressive. He won't hurt you, but he will pull the food container out of your hands. This is fun for kids and adults alike.

We stopped here on a road trip from Ohio to Florida and had a great time! The staff was so kind and friendly and beyond accommodating to our road-weary crew with several small children and a puppy. The safari ride has zebras, water buffalo, llamas, and more - plus a petting zoo and a few other animals to see but not feed/pet (camel, porcupine). Definitely would visit again.

This place is wonderful!!!!! Be ready for some camel slobber and snot! Fun for the whole family, 15$ a person and 5$ for a bag of food its endless laughs the whole ride. While you wait for the bus there is an outside area with pets to see, then the fun starts, your loaded on a windowless bus and drove around while the animals come in for some treats. The staff are very knowledgeable of the animals they house and I even learned some interesting facts on the way. Definitely worth the trip !!!!!

So much fun! We got there at 10 am. We walked around and fed lots of animals. At 10:30 we were on the first bus. The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the animals. The animals do approach the bus and fully expect food so be sure to buy plenty of feed, popcorn and peanuts.

Always a place I love to bring the family when I'm back in the region. Many many many upgrades and improvements from last time we visited. They were so friendly and made you feel so welcomed . We never had to ask for accommodations for our wheelchair. They came and found us when our tour was ready and had a modified bus with spacious seating for our comfort. I think this is a place you gotta experience!!

Go! We pulled off the highway on a whim and I’m so glad we did. Amazing place, friendly staff, and the animals are wonderful. We enjoyed our time there more than I expected. My kids didn’t want to leave!

This unique zoo is in a gorgeous location and has friendly, knowledgeable staff. The cost was comparable to other zoos, though the experience is far more interactive than typical zoos. Admission does not include animal feed. My daughters were frightened by the domineering camels, but my sons and I loved them. The more assertive animals will definitely steal the whole cup of feed, so watch out for little hands!

This is a great place! People are extremely friendly and animals are great. Very refreshing to be around this group of people (and animals) in a time when most people are not very refreshing. Wish I could give them 10 stars. We will be returning soon and often. Thanks for the great experience!

This place was AWESOME! Stopped in for a break from our long drive to West Virginia and cannot say enough great things about this park! All the associates were friendly, polite and extremely knowledgeable. If you happen to be passing through, my family and I highly recommend you stopping and stretching your legs at the park! Well done!

Very nice place in western va. Wasn’t expecting too much but the grandson loved it. Animals are clearly well cared for and the tour was a great length for a 2 year old.Would go back if in the area

Fun place for a short visit. If you aren't familiar with the area, be careful on the roads leading to the park. They are super curvy country roads. When you arrive, there is a small gift shop you go through first, which is where you buy the tickets and bags of feed (we bought one bag and it was plenty for 2 adults and a child, but I was the only one really feeding them). You get a colored arm band, then go wait in the petting zoo area for about 15 minutes until they call your color to board the bus.In the petting area, there are LOTS of deer, alpacas, a horse, a couple monkeys (which you can't feed right now bc of COVID), an African Spurred Tortoise, birds and some other animals. There is a little snack shack under a shelter with a couple picnic tables. They have like ice cream truck ice cream, drinks, peanuts and the like. There is also a goat that likes to sit under the tables and beg food 😂.I think it takes about an hour to do the bus ride through the park. The bus driver and tour guide were super friendly and knowledgeable about the park and animals. She (the guide) said they are planning to expand the park soon. I'm excited to see what they'll add!
