On a quest to purchase enough furniture to fill a couple of rooms in our new house… we decided to visit our local Big Lots that is located in Ridgeway, VA. We looked around the furniture section of the store and picked out several items that we were definitely interested in.We thoroughly discussed the new founded items and then decided that we needed some information about Big Lots’ choices of bed bases. We promptly searched for, and approached, a nearby sales associate (who we found out later by the store manager) - went by the name ‘Vegas’.During our interaction with ‘Vegas’… he did not greet us or even look up at us one time. No eye contact was ever made. Even though the greeting was nonexistent, we reluctantly continued our quest to ask about the bed bases available and their cost.Vegas responded with a ‘blow’ and continued to make my significant other and I feel rather irrelevant in our existence. The highlight - Vegas did end up walking approximately five feet and pointed out a pricing sign to us. Needless to say, the whole experience was less than desirable. Based upon the rude treatment we received by Ridgeway’s Big Lots’ employee, ‘Vegas’… we made a solid decision to not make any furniture purchases, or accessories purchases, from Big Lots.

THEY ARE SELLING EXPIRED COVID TESTS. Buyer beware! Normally have no complaints about Big Lots BUT I was in a few days ago and grabbed a couple covid tests by the register because they were $3. Wasn’t feeling well and decided to take one. It is 11/2023 I check and they expired JANUARY 2023. They hung up on me 3 times when I called to let them know (hopefully that was an accident) and told me I could return them and get more but what’s the point if they’re expired?

It surprisingly has a lot of varieties of items there, many of which can be found cheaper at other stores, but its convenient, I'm sure, if you want to find a bunch of things in one locale. I was very surprised to find they carried the essential oil I needed, and their furniture is decent, even if it comes with a pretty pricy tag on them. They have plenty of seasonal and household items, and I'd go as far as to say that its like a nicer Dollar General less the cold section. I know their pokemon cards are more expensive than DG or Kroger, but we like the other little things they carry.

Yo dude I'm not going to lie if you have not been to Big lots in a while, and I mean it doesn't have to be that long ago cuz I was just here a couple months ago, but man! They have so much cool stuff. Everything was appealing. I'm not even kidding. They have these amazing broyhill candles for $12 which was a little out of my price range but oh my God they smelled so good that I really think that I'm going to have to go back and get one or two. They have really cool furniture they have an amazing dining room set that I would love to have also they have this really adorable dorm chair that I almost had to walk out with today even though I have no business sitting that low to the ground at my age. I'm telling you what I was impressed and I was upset because I did not come until after 9:00 so I only had about 45 minutes to look around so I had to rush cuz they close at 10:00 but I'm I can't wait to go back and take my time and walk through there and really check things out and score some cool swag.

Like Ollie's know ur prices at all other surrounding stored. Just because they claim its cheaper that's not always the case remember to check ur dates & packing on all foods. Furniture is a bargain, but not a long term quality option. U get what u pay for in this regard.

Good prices on furniture, just looking right now.... Went back to buy 2 sofas had a tag on it saying "in stock", turns out, not in stock. Wanted 2 of them. Closest store is 75 miles that has them. Came back home, not sure what we gonna do yet??

Prices may have increased over the past year but they still have such good bargains and prices. Scan over that weekly Ad and you can come across some really great steals and deals while supplies last,..

This is a decent place to find good quality stuff for your home. But their prices are a little high on most of their stuff. Overall it's an ok place to shop.

I looked everywhere last night for an item I wanted to get my husband for his car model parts and found it on their website. Went today to pick up and what I saw last night but it wasn't at the big lots I went to, but I found something else, that was much better. I bought that and I'm happy that i did, it will hold more than the other thing I did.

The Big LOTS of yesterday is no more. Prices are ridiculous and the atmosphere not so good. I didn't purchase anything and have no plans to return.

I was hoping my local Big Lots had the majority of their Christmas decor out like I've seen on Youtube but my store is behind. The store is clean and associates were friendly.

Yesterday I came into the store, after not having been in there for years, due to a bad experience with an (I assume a now former employee) employee. Krista was there and quickly pointed me into the direction I needed to go in, and answered any questions I had without hesitation. All with a smile. Role model employee!!!!!

Love Big Lots that is one of the nearest store's I have ever been in everything looks full on the shelves I always find what I am looking for and find some surprise items too I found some strung lights to put in a flower vase never expected to see them and I was thrilled when I did the associates are very friendly always there if we need any help very nice store

I went to Big Lots in Martinsville Virginia yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised at how neat and clean everything was, it looked like a lot of new items, merchandise has been moved around for the better and all the associates there were absolutely fantastic and very friendly and welcoming. I have become one of their regulars. All the employees have been friendly and eager to help you with anything you happen to need. The prices are good, and if your looking for even more discounts there is two sections, one in the front and one in the back. I'll probably furnish alot of my apartment with items from Big Lots.
