Dude at the deli side is super disrespectful. My mother asked if they had fried chicken today and he said it’d be done in 20 mins so I left and came back to find one bag with 3 small pieces of fried chicken. I asked a lady that was there if they had more and she looked over to the guy and he just started laughing. Wouldn’t trust anything that guy makes. Learn some respect while working with customers.

Clean, nicely set up, the staff are motivated and friendly, no empty, filthy shelves. Prices are not higher at the check-out than they say on the shelf! …. Put it this way: everything Walmart should be but isn’t, this store is! No post-apocalyptic ‘bread line’ here! (And no pajama-clad, fuzzy slipper-wearers to be seen… I guess Walmart is good for something!

I was just in the area and I had to get something so I'm thankful for food Lion they pretty much stay open till about 10:00 in the evening and so that's great. I thank you for the great customer service you always provide when I come into your establishment. I would definitely recommend food Lion anytime anywhere to anyone.

Ordered on Insta cart. Order was accepted with pickup scheduled for 12-1. Arrived at 1:15. Called the number listed in the drive through. Caller ID said Western Union but a Food Lion person just yelled at me over the phone saying they aren't doing to go orders. Went inside and asked the manager near the cashiers in a nice manner. She started yelling at me that they are not doing to go orders. Apparently many people before me had come in asking. She was very upset at me for being confused.Key take away: THEY DO NOT DO "TO GO ORDERS", SHOP THE AISLES YOURSELF - YOU LAZY $#!?!#@ AND THEY DO NOT CARE WHAT THE APP SAYS

Cashier was rude because the photo on my ID is dated while I tried to buy beer stating "you should get that fixed looks nothing like you".I'm well over 21. He then carded my fiance who wasn't even purchasing the beer and scanned hers to verify it (also visibly older than 21). IF you would like to pay my fee to replace my ID picture have it. If not run the card and keep it moving.

Best Food Lion in our area in my opinion. Very clean. I've never found out of date products on the shelf! Fruits and vegetables are all fresh and beautiful. I love Food Lions organic brand. It's cheaper than most and everything is delicious! And last but not least everyone is super nice! It's a joyful shopping experience here!

During shopping today, there were 5 people without mask completely and 10+ people wearing them improperly. As a person who works in retail, I asked 3 employees standing close to the registers if there was anyone responsible to check mask. They all told me they can't enforce wearing masks. I told them the mandate is enforced by the Law and it can absolutely be enforced. They stated corporate doesn't want them to, Frank Valentine the store manager is telling his employees it's the company's choice to risk the lives of his employees and customers. I will be calling corporate as well, but wanted to warn my fellow Americans that are trying to be safe that this store, after a year of dealing with this, is still not safe.

Food Lion in Marshall is our local grocery store. We have been very pleased to see the store steadily increase their organic selections. We feel it's quite impressive at this point. The store is well managed, the staff are friendly and helpful. There are good selections of fresh produce and wines. The meats are good. There is a small but good fresh fish department. The bakery offers a few fresh baked breads. The Multigrain is our staple bread. It's really good.

I think this a fine small supermarket, (clean & well stocked). They've made some nice upgrades recently. We shop there frequently when we visit Tractor Supply next door.

Power was out , I pull in and employee says “ power is out but one register is open , you can still go in .” So I parked and proceeded to store , on the other set of doors were a few employees, this heavy set ( not judging, just discribing ) white woman hollers you’re not aloud in , power is out , so I said , ( thinking perhaps she may e mistaken ) but a food lion employee just notified me that a register was open . Then she got rude and was top of her lungs , I said no one can go in I said the power was out I again repeated myself . She got belligerents we’ll all customers are being made to leave store you can’t go in , so I said You don’t need to be rude about it . She said well you don’t have to keep repeating the same question. So I said it wasn’t a question, it was a statement, and since you didn’t seem to hear me the first time .., I repeated myself . And I left , this is going to corporate, I’m visiting the store once power is back and get her name then it’s on !!! No one speaks to customers like that . And if she wasn’t being rude , she would have said m’ am I wasn’t being rude I was just informing you of the situation. Hey I’m not your friend , neighbor or co- worker .... I AM A CUSTOMER AND AS A CUSTOMER DESERVE THE RESPECT OF AN EMLOYEE THAT WORKS FOR AN ESTABLISHMENT PERIOD , I don’t believe that behavior was warranted at all .

I love Food Lion I really do save money here. Unfortunately the one in Haymarket is no longer open but a little further down the road and jack pot there is one still in Marshal. All the brands I am used to buying that are tried and true.

Neighborhood store. Generally well stocked. Still unable to enforce shoppers mask wearing and staff have there noses hanging out. Inconsistent cleaning....only game in town so they need to up their game and take care of their shoppers.

Horrible service.... I’ve lived around the area for almost a year and no one has ever said anything to me about my service dog. But today someone that works there yelled at me until I showed her the tag on my dog that says “service dog” I already have bad panic attacks and was having a bad day then that worker had to yell at me. Thank you for yelling at me and making me have a panic attack in your store I will not be shopping anymore there. God bless

Love Food Lion. Sure wish we had ours back in Berryville. Everytime I am in Marshall I always stop at Food Lion. Love their brands and the meat selections. Spotless and friendly .
