Very clean, staff Very friendly. Cashiers always say hello, unlike some other cashiers in a major chain. Prices could be lower. I shop there every week. Keep up the great work. A smile goes a long way, and I thank you for your friendly staff and clean store.

I emailed corporate about two weeks ago no response. I had a cake made for my son's 1st birthday a child that was my miracle child. I always shop at food city but since this I don't go there as much as I did. Birthday may not seem like a big deal but my son's 1st birthday was a big deal to me and my husband. The boarder was not even finish around the cake. The color of the picture was not the same color in the book. As you can see on the cake all the animals on the picture have ither a blue or greenish tent. The only positive thing was at least it tasted good but if I'm gonna pay 50 bucks for cake it needs to be perfect I always get my cakes through food city. But I don't think I will be getting anymore after this. Because this was not the first inceadent. We order allot of cakes through them.

I like the Food City because there are 3 or more within the distance of towns that we frequently travel to shop. Lots of products we use or eat

Love the store , but if your wanting grocery pickup or curbside I believe it’s called, go somewhere else, have got it 3 times and gets worse each time.the last time witch was few days ago was a nightmare, had a pickup time for 7 pm , was messaged around 5 pm asking about substitutes , we said was fine, never heard from them again , finally had to go up next day and our order was still not done , was told it would be avalible within the hour , 4 hours later we got call, had to wait about 30 min after arriving to get food, then get home and literally half our food was missing , the manager said well if you want your order done right to do it in Monday or Tuesday! Instead of maybe fixing the problem and training your employees better was literally told to call on certain days , unreal, will never do grocery order threw them ever again , 3 rd times a charm for us, please train your employees better , and start with looking at the management for grocery orders .

3 of the 4 times I've shopped here I've had milk spoil and chicken turn grey after being refrigerated less than a week (before the expiration date). I don't keep receipts for grocery trips. Can't/Won't waste any more money at this location.

My only quip would be the choice of deli products...what deli doesn't carry land o lakes cheese? Is it not popular in the south..2 grocery delies did not carry product..but they do carry L.O.L butter..Am I missing something? Otherwise liked the store. Lots of product..clean, friendly service.

I like the meat and seafood selections the best in the store. Here lately though the stock of items are becoming less and less. The store is always clean and the cashiers ate friendly. Love self check out when I only have a few things I can do it myself.

Good variety and quality in their meat section. I love the seafood and salad bar. Cashier was friendly and courteous. My groceries were rung up and I was out the door in no time. I like the option to choose if I want to self scan or have a cashier and bagger.

The Marion store hasn’t been updated since the 90s. Prices are higher than other stores in town and the deli doesn’t have even HALF the offerings of other Food City Stores in the area that have updated.The deli frequently serves food that’s so heat lamp baked it has a sun tan. Steamed vegetables were not completely cooked, fried chicken looked like some sort of dried out piece of something you’d find burnt in the bottom of the pan rather than anything you’d actually eat and when you ask them to make two fresh hotdogs because there are none, they take 20 minutes and both come out covered in chili to the point they can’t be consumed in the normal way. Sloppy. Literally nobody wants to eat a hotdog with a fork!The chili was out of a can and was the cheapest the store has to offer. It looked and tasted watered down.Does not offer pizza or sushi.Salad bar is incredibly overpriced.

Well I have been all over Marion looking for a certain head ache medicine and Walmart didn't have and all the other stores didn't have it. But I went to food city and they had it. Now every time I need something and I can't find it anywhere. Most of the time food city has it. Just not that food city also keeps there shelf's stocked up good. Now don't get me wrong food city has its problems and just like any other stores would have. But what I don't like about the food city is the fact some of there employees are not very nice and some of them have a stink to them. And the other thing I don't like about food city is the seafood that they seal I have bought shrimp from up there 7 times and I had it put on ice and buy the time I got home and got it prep and ready to cook it was no good. Now I have had this happen to me 4 out of 7 times. But other than that I do think that food city has better quality and prices on there food and drinks then the other grocery stores in Marion. And the thing I really like about food city is if you have a pet cat or dog they have a good variety of foods and toys for your pet but I also think that they are a little bit to pricey on some of the toys and food. If you shop around you can find cheaper prices then food cities. But other than that I think food city has to be the best grocery store in Marion VA.

Much nicer inside Vs what it looks like from outside! Selection is limited as it's not a superstore.Could be 3 star if the corporation invested a bit more into this neighborhood. The staff was very attentive to what's happening inside at any moment. The staff deserves 4 stars but the corporation only 2 here.

Honestly I'm not a Food City shopping fan due2the fact I feel they r alit pricer on things than other stores but my son likes shopping there so I rode wit him but what I do like bout the store is the self check out u dnt have2wait in line most of the time n u can get in n out quick

In Jan. 2022 I was sick with Covid for 3 weeks. The nicest lady went around the store with my son on the phone telling her one organic thing after another. He used this same kind Lady everytime he called. He was very impressed & so was I. WAY TO GO FC MARION. I LIKE TO SHOP THERE!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!

Biggest selection of products that you'll find from any store in a 25 mile radius. Prices can be a little bit more but with the freshness and selection of meats and produce, it evens itself out and worth it. They still offer curbside grocery loading in your car by the courtesy clerks that bag your groceries.
