This is an interesting little spot. It’s not necessarily a restaurant but has food. Not exactly a country store but has a few local items like wines, snacks and some clothing. Not exactly a coffee shop but has a decent coffee menu. The food menu is pretty robust and has a healthy take on comfort foods.Fun find

I can’t express my appreciation enough. My husband and I stopped for coffee on the way back from VA beach , but had a surprise flat tire! Besides the coffee being amazing, the workers are amazing, thoughtful and all around just SO kind. After being stuck for almost two hours, we were surprised with two hot coffees, truly so grateful for all of the kindness here. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I would love too just say thank you for creating excellent service 10/10 times that I've come. The smoothies are always thick & consistently tasty. The service is always welcoming & positive. I stop here almost every time before I hit the bridge. It's like a must have. It's became one of my favorite spots to go to on the shore because I know I'm going to get the same service every time. Thank y'all so much.

My all time favorite eatery on the Eastern Shore of Virginia!As a native and regular , their food is always good. I never have trouble calling in an order unless they’re swamped, which they usually are. Just wish they had longer hours! Highly recommended

Great great place. Huge choice of wraps, rolls or burritos (with plenty of options from meat to hummus, delicious bean burgers and veggies). All of them come at a very affordable price (like 6 to 8$), which is very cheap as some places would charge 15 with some fries for a similar thing.Vegetarian options: Bean burgers, veggies

Friends and I stopped here on our road trip to OBX. What a sweet stop it was. Yummy food and quality, quick service. Loads of different options for breakfast and lunch. As well as snacks and delicious coffee. Only 5 are allowed at the store at one time and very spacious inside. I hope to pop in again next time I head south.*No public bathrooms and the gas station next store has horrible ones.

My first time stopping in and I was greeted by friendly staff and customers. I bought fresh roasted coffee beans, a really great, hot mocha and a salmon wrap sandwich that was so tasty I wanted to run back in there and shout OMG!!! So, fresh, warmed just right and a beautiful mix of flavors. I highly recommend Machipongo Trading Co

Wonderful little shop serving good food and coffee as well as having a nice little selection of local brewed beers, especially the Cape Charles Beer.Just a wonderful gem of a store/cafe on the beautiful quiet Eastern Shore.Cannot imagine passing this place by and not stopping during future travels south to Va Beach.Nice friendly staff too!

One of my favorite places to grab food from. Delicious sandwiches, never been disappointed with any of their food items so far. Smoothies are great and good coffee! Great especially when going on a road trip! I can only wish they'd be open a little later/longer

A place like this should be everywhere, but if there was a place like this everywhere it wouldn't be so special. Small town meeting place, local craft beer distributor, full service coffee shop, etc. The people there were nice, not just the staff, everyone. There's local art for sale on the walls and a nice half room off to the side where people can chat or read or whatever. Nice porch to enjoy your coffee on. Generally worth the stop on your way through.

My husband, son and I were heading across the bay for the day but decided to stop by for a smoothie and a coffee. Our son (Type 1 diabetic) wanted a smoothie too. We asked if they could carb count for us and not only did they take the time and effort to count out carbs, they also gave us an alternative of milk to lower the carb count for him. We have never had a place go so far for us in the two years he has been a T1D. Such an amazingly warm place to go. Would recommend to everyone.

Do you love those little hometown type of restaurant/cafes with freaking AMAZING food?!?! Then you WILL fall in love with MTC! breakfast & lunch. Coffees and local items. You cant beat this place. The staff is amazing....they put up with me! Food is delicious (THIS FAT BOY LOVES HIS TURKEY PESTO!!) And it's a place that I think will soon become a tourist Must Try very soon

The food here is awesome, good variety, good prices, very friendly service. 1/2 a wrap & chips are perfect meal when you still have hours to drive. No indoor seating but several very large benches under the awning to enjoy your meal. Will stopping by again when travelling that way.

Such a sweet hidden gem. Everything from the sandwiches to the cookies were delicious! We ordered the turkey pesto and BBQ sandwich and they were so tasty and left us wanting seconds! We definitely recommend stopping here for something yummy on your travels.

Wonderful place! I do not often make it to the Eastern Shore, but when I do , this is a regular stop. Sandwiches are delicious and a great value. The coffee is outstanding and the staff is friendly and efficient. Plus, plenty of interesting snack items for the road.
