I have been in the unfortunate position to have to take our elderly cat (Pumpkin) in for treatment two times over the past month. Both times we were greeted by the pleasant office staff, and processed quickly to the nicely spread out waiting area.Because this urgent care center, like all urgent care centers is first come first serve, no appointments, so I expected fully to wait my turn. Thankfully, both times I went, there was only one other animal needing attention before mine. We were so grateful for that! I’m sure there are times they are very busy, and other times not so much, so you have to go expecting to wait your turn.We were taken back to a exam room, seen immediately by an extremely experienced veterinarian technician who was very confident i. handling our animal, and we had no reservations at all about her taking him back for a weight and temperature, giving antibiotics etc. During our two visits, we saw two different veterinarians, and both were absolutely wonderful. They were compassionate, and thorough.I don’t know if everyone understands how lucky we are to have such a qualified urgent care center right here in Lynchburg, who will see sick animals during the week without an appointment, but our family sure does! I feel incredibly blessed to have their service and I am sure we will be needing it again in the near future.Highly recommend!

Urgent Care by Pawprints have been absolutely wonderful in every way. Every interaction with the staff has been patient, positive, and professional. I've come with questions every time, and the providers always field my questions and answer them fully. I always leave feeling as though they truly care about the health and wellbeing of my animals. Plus - I was able to use their discounts to get a much more affordable deal on preventative medications for my dogs! Thank you for everything you do, Pawprints!

I didn't even have to go here to know this place is amazing. I called today because my momma kitty Luna hadn't stopped bleeding for 24 hours and still hasn't given birth. Theweren't able to get her in because she may need a surgeon but they called every vet in the area to help me find one that would be able to help. I ended up finding a vet and I just want to thank everyone that spoke with me today about helping my baby. Who is really not mine but my fiancees because she chose him.

BEWARE!!! They not only charge you $100 just to walk in the door but when you get to speak with a vet tech they claim to want to help you until they disappear into the back room then it's a p*ss off!!! Also I do NOT suggest applying for their "financing options" unless you love spam I have a decent score but was denied because we hadn't been at our address long enough the following day my phone didn't stop with the text and emails!!! so I guess if you only care about the amount of monee you can waste I would give them a go but if you truly care about your pet I suggest finding a different facility!!! Being said allow me to elaborate we brought our puppy in after he was attacked by another dog it was after hours for any real vet so we brought him in here and upon check in the front desk guy was beyond cool however the min the tech walked in and claimed to want to help and work with a limited budget us having just moved into town less then a month ago she offered for the low low price of $250 to shave around the wounds and give us 3 different 10 day scrips that would include our $100 exam fee, her exam was quite literally bending over and telling us yes he has a couple cuts DUH!!! That would be why we're here, so when I questioned what meds were being sent home with us and told them not to send 2 of them home as we had them there from a prior pup that had cancer suddenly it was heres your 1 script at a 1350% markup now get out the door but before that happens let me send this poor little girl to stand in the doorway blocking it talking your ear off about nonsense agitating an already severly traumatized puppy despite being told to let us leave several times she refused and defended this is an "emergency clinic" so the prices are going to be just like a hospital price despite being shown all over it is not an emergency clinic but urgent care clinic hence the urgent care pic included in this review, all in all for them to tell us what we already knew and send us home with 10 pills it cost $125 a script I would later find out would be given by a vet clinic for just over $10 and could be purchased online for $1.00 yes thats right a whole dollar so the most pleasant part of the whole experience and only one to show any compassion was the front desk guy the rest were more concerned with $$$ so yeah if youre simply looking to brag about the amount of monee you spent on treating a pet then I highly recommend the facility but if you want your furry family member to receive good care keep searching cause this place isn't for you

I absolutely love this animal hospital and I’m gonna tell you why. The staff is wonderful. The office is so clean it doesn’t even smell like animals are in there. I had to go here not once but twice once for my Rottweiler once for my Frenchie. My Rottweiler got sick with an Illness that could’ve caused death, but they got him well and he has been thriving wonderfully. I recently got my Frenchie and something was going on with her and they were able to diagnose her and get her fixed right up. I really believe the staff is there because they care about animals and not the money that it brings them. They truly care about even their human owners as well. Since going in I’ve had to call them on several occasions and they have been so helpful. I wil never go to another animal hospital

I've been here twice, once with my cat and just last week with Goldendoodle. The vet techs are really nice and loved on both my pets like they were their own. This last time, we saw Dr. Tracy. She was phenomenal. She was kind, patient, and explained everything in a manner I could understand. She answered all my questions and never made me feel rushed. I will definitely recommend their services.

A fantastic place to bring your pet and they take walk-ins! My 11.5 yr old boxer was very sick and no other vet would take him or was able to fit him in. We didn't wait too long for as busy as they were and it was well worth it! Fair pricing and they truly care for you and your pet. Unfortunately I faced the choice to put my baby boy down because they found a mass in his stomach that no other place did. They were the kindest most compassionate vet I have EVER been to. I would travel hours to make sure my future pets see them. Thank you all so very much for the before and AFTER care of my precious boy. You all made a very difficult time better. Not even sure thank you is enough.

We believe our pup has broken his leg but they wouldn't see him because the secretary said they closed in 20 mins. So now we have to wait an hour for the animal hospital to open while our baby is crying in pain. This was the worst experience I have ever had. We rushed from Madison Heights to this place because no vets offices were open, only to be turned away while you can obviously see something us wrong with his leg. We will never take our babies to this place and I will never suggest them to anyone else!

I’m so impressed with Urgent Care by Pawprints in Lynchburg. My 11 week old golden puppy Sweet Pea was having issues. I suspected she had a UTI, and a UTI and potty training a puppy does not a good time make. I wasn’t able to get her into our normal vet, so we went to urgent care. I had been there once with my other dog, and they were great. This time, they were just as awesome, but better. They took great care of my girl, were fast, the staff was awesome, and they made us feel very comfortable. Everyone was so friendly and sweet. I LOVED Dr. Gallagher!! She was very thorough, explained everything well and gave me other advice for having a puppy. She even gave Seeet Pea a brand new toy! I highly recommend this hospital if you ever need extra help for your babies! ❤️

This urgent care vet office was absolutely wonderful to us and our sick puppy. They got our puppy in within a decent timeframe and were so extremely thorough in their exam and their recommendations were just high quality care. I can’t say enough about the care. They were so kind and compassionate and the receptionist was SO patient and sweet when I called several times with follow up questions. We are new dog owners and so thankful for this option of care for our Biscuit!

What a blessing! Dr. Hoss came to our home to help our 15 year old corgi cross the "rainbow bridge". They were so compassionate, knowledgeable, and caring. What an incredible experience for us and such a calm, relaxed, and comfortable way for our sweet Raja to leave us...many, many thanks. I cannot recommend their services enough!!!

My dog had been having diarrhea for several days and his vet couldn’t get him in for a WEEK! I was terrified of going to an urgent care as I expected it to be super expensive and probably not an overall great experience. I was very wrong. The staff was fantastic. Kept me updated on wait times. Super friendly. When it was our turn, they worked super quickly and got us out as fast as they could while still doing a thorough job. I left with an all meds needed for my dog, and at a VERY fair price. I wish they would open a vet office because I would 100% use them for check ups! If we ever need urgent vet care again, we’ll know where to go.

I took my cat to Urgent Care by Pawprints because he’s having an allergic reaction to the liquid flea and tick medicine I gave him. The vets assistant took notes of everything I told here a few minutes later the veterinarian came out and took me to one of the rooms. She later states she didn't see where my cat was having an allergic reaction but she noticed where he had scabs and I then explained to her yes because he been scratching and pulling his hair out. She later decided to say well you may have fleas in your house. That really upset me and offended me. I will NEVER take my animal there again nor would I recommend them to anyone. I’ve never been somewhere where I had explain what’s wrong with my animal multiple times because they didn’t believe me. They wouldn’t even try to listen to what I was explaining to them. NEVER AGAIN!

I can’t say enough good things about this office and its staff. My 5 month old puppy cut the tip of his tail and needed to have it removed. It was a busy evening when we arrived with more critical fur babies than mine. Dr. Gallagher and her amazing staff, from the front desk to the vet techs went above and beyond and stayed late to do surgery to make sure my baby was taken care of. If you find yourself in need of emergency veterinary care, I recommend you come see them. Your fur baby will be in excellent hands.

The facility seemed nice, new, and clean.We arrived a little after 7 with our Frenchie who was experiencing some bloating and GI discomfort. He has had his share of medical issues in the past including spinal surgeries, encephalitis and is epileptic. Once his intake questionnaire was reviewed , we were advised that due to being busy and it wasn’t an ear infection to go to the emergency vet.We didn’t have a bad experience but I had high hopes and expectations based on reviews and word of mouth recommendations.

I was pleased with the service I received. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My cat Nyla who had a polyp in the back of her throat which she had for several years and wasn't breathing well. Recently Dr. Gallagher had removed the polyp and now Nyla can breathe easier without any problems. They also called the day after the surgery to see if she was doing okay. I thank everyone for making Nyla feel better.

Our 16 year old Chihuahua, Leia, as they discovered, had new onset congestive heart failure. The receptionist, tech and Veterinarian were extremely professional, friendly and caring. Before any interventions were done, we received an estimate. For urgent care, the prices are very reasonable. I was extremely impressed and would refer them to anyone with urgent care needs their pet may need. Leia is currently on new medications prescribed by them and is doing very well. I can't thank them enough.

Since I was unable to get into my vet for awhile, I opted to bring my dog to the Urgent Care for his ear. It was a weekday afternoon and I didn't have to wait long at all. The staff was friendly, Dr. Rogers and May were the two ladies that saw Rebel and helped. They answered my questions, explained things well and even showed me how to put the medicine in his ear, giving tips and pointers. I appreciated May's honesty in the two options for medications and not pushing the more expensive one. The facility was clean and it was a very positive experience from the time I walked in the door. It meant a lot to me when I got a call the next day asking how Rebel was doing. I've never had a follow-up call and I appreciated the care and concern. If something else happens, I will go here first.

Dr. Neale is an absolute blessing. When it was time for my geriatric dog to cross the rainbow bridge, Pawprints Mobile Medicine service came to my home, so she could go peacefully surrounded by all of the people who love her the most. Dr. Neale was so kind and compassionate to our family, especially our dogs. 5 stars just simply isn’t enough. Thank you so much, Pawprints. You helped us make the best of a difficult day.

Went tonight around 7pm due to my little guy having a bloated stomach and being very gassy. After waiting for someone at the desk I decided to go ahead and fill out the intake form. After the lady at the front finally got off the phone we were greeted and told that she would see what she could do but more than likely she would recommend us going to the Emergency Vet instead due to “being at full capacity and only having time for animals with ear infections.” Mind you there might have been 3 people inside waiting. We left and was told sorry. Extremely disappointing and will likely never return. Went to the Emergency Vet and was in and out within an hour and had a much better experience all around. Save your time and go elsewhere unless your just bring your dog for an ear infection since that’s all them seem to want to take care of.

About 6 months ago we decided to take in a stray kitty that randomly showed up at our home. Tuesday morning I noticed that she was in pain and not using her left back leg. My regular vet had no available appointments so I took her to Pawprints Urgent Care. What a wonderful place this is! They took such good care of her and she is feeling much better after it was determined that she was bitten by something. Before they treated her they showed me a breakdown of all charges and got my approval so there were no surprises when it came time to check out. Everyone was so nice and friendly and the place is super clean! I highly recommend them if you have a pet that is needing care.

We had the best experience here. We had to take our dog Tucker when he got sick. Even though we didn’t get good news, the staff made us feel so cared for. They took the best care of our Tucker. Everyone there from the front staff, techs to the dr were so understanding and we really felt heard!! They have repeatedly shown the best care and compassion for us and been there for any questions and help since. I HIGHLY recommend this facility.

I can’t thank Pawprints enough for how they helped my sweet little girl, Omni. From the moment I walked into the clinic everyone was so friendly and supportive. They all had a calming spirit, which was much needed during such a stressful time. They have many options for financial assistance, since as we all know vet visits can be expensive. Came in first thing on a Monday morning. We did not have to wait long to be seen. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. The place is clean with plenty of space to wait. Also being located near a convenient store, it helped to be able to grab a bite while I waited for test result. Definitely would recommend and come back should I need to for urgent care.

No one wants to have to bring their pet into an urgent care but my experience here was absolutely amazing. The staff was so nice and friendly, the doctor we saw was wonderful and the building is very clean. It’s so nice to have a walk in option in Lynchburg for when it’s needed. Next time I need urgent care they will be our first stop!
