Clean and well organized. A tremendous selection of meat and seafood. We really enjoy the mix of nuts and other treats that you put in bag, it allows you to get as much or as little as you want with variety.

This store looks really nice on the inside and outside. It is very well organized. The food selections are to my taste...My advice to any shopper would be to check expiration date of baked goods before you purchase them. And, ask the butcher how fresh the meat is before buying meat that is out.

I recently moved to Lynchburg, and LOVE this grocery store. I actually like it better than Whole Foods. Not only do they have good products that are very hard to find in most US grocery stores, but they also play classical music and that is wonderful to me since most places these days play music straight out of hell (and I say this as a young guy, so that´s saying something!)I hope management continues to realize that many of us do appreciate easy listening-pleasant classical music when shopping.As for prices, yes, there are some things here twice the price you would pay in other stores, but I go here to buy the things I cannot get in other shops. For people complaining about prices, there is such a thing as "shopping around" you know? Anyway, great shop and so close to me that I can even go walking!

I love fresh market but the new pizzas are awful. We unfortunately bought 3 of them for our family and only one was cut, they all had so much sauce on them that we could not even pick up a slice without them falling apart. Definitely a waste of money and will skip them from now on.

So I have to be transparent here. Aldi is my go-to when it comes to groceries but lately I’ve come to appreciate what Fresh Market brings to the table in terms of specialty items along with their bakery/deli.We’ve ordered two strawberry Chantilly cakes within the past 6 months and they’re exceptional. The sushi is also on point considering it’s grab and go from a grocery store. I’m eyeing the smoked mozz pasta for my next trip

There is something regal about wandering around this store. Whether the layout or the friendly staff, it is simply pleasant to be in the store. What is harder is the prices. Expect a mark-up on every item that is above any grocery outlet in Lynchburg. But then again that might be why people go here, to feel exclusive, be treated well, find unique products not found elsewhere in Lynchburg, and just be reminded they have money to burn 🙃 For us it was because we had a gift card 🤭 The steaks were sure good! Great quality!Admittedly there are several products that are near impossible to source (except ordering online), particularly if you are on a diet regimen like the Whole30. Then Fresh Market becomes a Godsend!

The only problem I have with The Fresh Market is all the goodies are soooo Amazing,! Coffee, baked goods, amazing cheeses, chcholate!, teas, breads, fresh fish and meats, nuts, olives.. I could go on and on. Loved the festive feel too. Spent a lot of money and enjoying every bite of it.

The deli service is abysmal. I’ve been standing here for 15 minutes. There was one person in front of me and I still haven’t been able to get my order and leave yet. the guy who is helping me is moving so slow it’s like he’s underwater. There are two men working behind here. Well, there are two men who are not working. They are both standing here apparently in competition for who can do the least amount of work. One of them doesn’t come near the customers the other one moves so slowly. I used a stopwatch so it’s 15 minutes just to get a half a pound of sliced ham. This is ridiculous. this is not the first time this is happened to me. I’ve actually stopped buying deli meats or anything from the deli because it’s torture. I had to today. It’s happened multiple multiple times.

I stopped in just to check out the store. I recently moved from a large city with every type of grocery store imaginable, so I'm on the hunt for hard-to-find ingredients that aren't offered in the two major grocery chains in this area. First impressions: the store is clean, organized, and easy to navigate. They had quite a few spices, marinades, rubs, etc., which was primarily what I went there to find. Other observations ... the produce looked fresh, although the selection wasn't huge. They had my favorite olive oil, so that made me happy. I also noticed they had a nice selection of herbal teas. Check-out was fast.

I bought a baguette today and when I opened the bag the baguette was hard as a rock, obviously old. I called the Lynchburg store at 5:50 pm but no one answered my calls. Fresh Market? What a joke!

Fresh Market is a great place to find certain items not available anywhere else. It also helps if you go on a regular basis because they put a variety of items on sale even when not advertised.Their variety of trail mix nuts and other ingredients cannot be beat this side of Trader Joe's in Charlottesville.We like getting the small loaf breads, especially the blueberry ones. Make for a good breakfast treat and as a house warming gift when going to others' homes for a meal.Very helpful clerks and deli workers. Their meals for two on Thursdays are good deals.

I like this store for its fresh produce (just beware some produce is from Mexico), fresh meat and meals but I don't like that some times when I go they have different items than they did before such as chips (I like the Charles Chips and they haven't had them the past 2 times) and muffins ( I like the banana nut and chocolate chip mini muffins and last time they didn't have those but had blueberry and cranberry muffins instead and I don't like either one). Also, be careful buying seafood here. I bought a pound of shrimp during one of my shopping trips and came straight home and put the shrimp in the freezer but when I took it out to cook it it had a very bad fishy smell and I didn't want to chance getting food poisoning so I threw it away. The store is clean and the employees are very friendly.

I ordered some food items from the Lynchburg Fresh Market for my son’s graduation celebration and breakfast the next day with family. They did a super job on all of the items I ordered! I ordered a chocolate ganache cake, 2 Take and Bake Bries, a wrap platter with buffalo chicken wraps and Italian wraps, a mini continental breakfast platter, banana chocolate chip loaf, pumpkin walnut loaf, and blueberry pound cake. I had so many compliments on all of the items and I have some very picky eaters in my family!! The chocolate ganache cake was a lot less expensive than a bakery in town and was way more delicious. I highly recommend you give them a try for party and get together needs.I will definitely order from them again! Thank you so much for helping make my son’s graduation get-together and next day breakfast a success!

Lovely atmosphere and incredible food, but I always feel like an inconvenience to the staff. Today I got side eyed by one of the staff members because I took a picture of the roses, and then at checkout the cashier guy seemed annoyed that a stray tomato had been left in my basket and didn't seem to believe me when I said it wasn't mine. I always feel like the staff are a bit snobby.

Fresh market is amazing! The quality and quantity of healthy products they have rivals whole foods. If your looking for healthy options but also great tasting this the place. Prices are slightly higher than lower end food stores but totally worth it.

Occasionally fun for novelty items and it’s great for lunch in a pinch- the deli counter is the best feature by far!!! Yum! But for everyday grocery shopping I find it’s very overpriced and contains more novelty items than staples. However it’s a great shopping atmosphere! “Upscale” grocery boutique- great for specialty items. Definitely not a place to do weekly organic shopping for the entire family.

I love Fresh Market. If you can't find what you are looking for just ask anyone. The staff is so friendly and helpful, they actually like their jobs. They make grocery shopping a good experience. If they don't have it, you don't need it. Produce is beautiful, seafood and meats are fresh and they always have something on sale. The diary department has items from all over the world. Tons of herbs and seasonings and a deli counter that is seconded by none. Did I mention the huge variety of bulk items? Just go visit your Fresh Market and you'll see.They also have a loyalty program, it's easy, enter it online. Did I mention their roasted chicken salad? The absolute best!

Love shopping here. It has a great rustic atmosphere, all the staff are super friendly and helpful, the produce is always fresh and they have things the big box grocery chains don't. It's nice to shop somewhere that feels and looks more like a small market than a florescent lit tin can.

Use it selectively. Tuesdays chicken and ground beef sale is reasonable. Family meal deals are worth checking as can be a tasty and convenient option. Fun to go to when you want a couple deserts to pick out from the pretty bakery display. Some produce is exactly what is at other stores so use other stores for that. The deli salads are great. We take some on day trips for picnics. Much better than other stores for those. It is worth checking the seafood specials online to recognize if they haven't yet marked them down. Going mid day seems the best chance they are up to date with their specials yet not run out of having them available.

While a bit pricey when items aren’t on sale, we find many hard to find gluten free items here at the Fresh Market in Lynchburg. The team members have been helpful and the weekly specials a great value for a quick meal. The deli offers a really nice selection of ready to eat sandwiches they’ll prepare for you on panini press. We appreciate the fresh brightly colored produce and enticing fresh ground coffee options. The complimentary birthday cake slice is a bonus!
