I had a really strange experience at this location today: I went into the Sherwin-Williams paint section. The section wasn't very busy; it looked like the associate was wrapping up an interaction with another customer, who appeared to be standing on the side, so I stood in line and waited. I waited for awhile, but the associate never looked up or acknowledged my presence, even though he was facing in my direction. I then got a text from my friend, who stated that she was waiting at the checkout line. So I stepped out of the line, turned to the gentleman behind me, and told him to go ahead of me. The gentleman kindly stated, "That's OK. You were here first." I then stated that I had to check with my friend about the purchase. As soon as I was a little ways away, I heard the associate say, "I'll be with you in a moment, sir." Now, I don't know if the associate had an issue with me because I am Indigenous/POC and the gentleman behind me was Caucasian--that is, I don't know if the associate honestly did not see me or simply chose to not see me. In any event, I walked away from the line a bit perturbed. We ended up purchasing some boxes and the associate at the front checkout was very nice. But I hope Lowe's does better to ensure that ALL customers are seen and acknowledged in a courteous and timely manner.

The staff were extremely helpful, patient and respectful while we took forever to gather our necessary materials. And I give big thanks to the lady clerk at the exit by lumber last night as she did an amazing job with our checkout process so please pass on our thanks to her for us Lowes administraton.On a return visit for materials for another job, it was close to closing time and we picked up 30 4'x4'x12' posts and 25 60lbs bags of Quick Crete, at lumber exit checkout Beth was extremely courteous, patient and proficient. And she even took it upon herself to call for extra staff to help us load our materials in the truck even though it was closing time. I'm very thankful for her and also for the 3 guys who helped load all the stuff. Wonderful customer service! Thousands of dollars spent here on job materials just over the past week and I couldn't have asked for better service! Thank you Lowes team!

I am disabled and have a service dog in training, and we have been training here with him for months and they have seen him grow up. I also purchased my manual wheelchair that I use at home when I do laundry from here quite a few months ago and it is a wonderful chair. The people who helped me take it to my car were super nice. The store is always well kept and the staff are so friendly and helpful when you do need to find something for a project. It is always fun seeing the seasonal decor as well. Tha k you guys for doing a wonderful job with this store

Love this Lowe’s in particular! Everyone is always so friendly and chipper the employees are eager to help without ever having an attitude and I’ve been going here the past 10years! The shelves are always stocked and I can get lost in the gardening section! Great selection as always

I didn't do it- I promise! Good customer service, prices are a bit high compared to competitors but will price match if you have proof. Inventory in store isn't always accurate with website inquiry for location so expect to be surprised when visiting physical store...

We went in shopping for kitchen appliances but we always check the discount plants and usually end up finding something. Someone had marked through the Bar Code on one of the discount plants we bought and it took some time for the manager to come over and take care of it. Other than that the cashier and manager were super nice and apologized for the wait. It's a good store and we'll stocked. Also it's nice to go into a place that has multiple cash registers open so you can get out quickly without having to wait forever to check out.

I recently called Lowe’s to ask about the purchase of a stove my son bought for me 4 years ago. It was a whirlpool and as soon as the one year warranty went out, everything went wrong. The eye stopped working, the front piece came apart from the door and now the bottom heating element is not working. When I called today to ask about it they said the warranty ran out after a year and then I asked if they had a repair person to look at it and she said no you would have to get someone locally which their website said they do have repair people. As soon as I started to say well I guess that answers my next question and before I could get it out, she shut me off and said have a good day and hung up. To me that is poor customer service and not willing to even try and handle the already bad situation. !! I won’t get anymore appliances there.

I primarily shop at Home Depot in Lynchburg. I went to lynchburg Lowe’s yesterday after a long absence from shopping there. I was surprised to see how much inventory and range of selection of products Lowe’s has in comparison to Home Depot. This is largely a function of the size of the two stores.The checkout staff that both stores deserves three stars. Basically it’s their job and I feel like they’re waiting for their shift to end.

I was walking around in Lowes, firstly, looking for drainage rocks. As I began to venture about, I saw the Disney Mickey Share the Love Statue. He was marked down to 23.99. I thought it was cute, but, I walked on. Yet, as, I was nearing leaving the store, I went back and gave Mickey another look. He was quite dusty, dirty; but, I picked him up and took him to the appliance section where a super nice and friendly associate, Michaela, was working. I asked did she have something I could use to dust and clean Mickey up with. She gave me a microfiber cloth and we talked as I cleaned him up. With just a few minutes left before the store was to close, I hurried to the self checkout and to my surprise and delight, Mickey was only 17.97!!! I think the statue is super cute. I am so glad I found it.

Jana and Kristen are the absolute best when it comes to customer service and how quick they are at anything you buy online to pick up in store. I am either in the store or ordering online once or more a week and everytime I come in Jana is super friendly! Highly recommend this Lowe's!

I just asked for estimate to replace bathroom flooring. Their labor cost was 2 times more than other contractor. Labor cost is too much. Even they were changing for removing toilets and putting it back. It was ridiculous. No one should go for home improvement in Lowe’s Lynchburg, Virginia.

Like most homeowners I go to a Big Box home improvement retailer on a regular basis, and the employees at Lowe's seem to have an encyclopedic knowledge of where the items I'm looking for are located. They are always friendly, professional and helpful.I patronize my local hardware store whenever I can, but let's face it locally owned hardware stores can't compete with Lowe's when it comes to price or stocking an obscure item.The Timberlake location is always clean, and parking is never a problem.

I wanted to thank Doug (from the paint section), Dave (from the lawnmowers), and Jackie, Kristen, and Daniel for all their help this past week. My husband and I have been working on some projects for our new home and this team has been tremendously helpful! Everyone I've spoken with is beyond nice. They're kind! Which makes a huge difference in today's world! Each employee I've had the privilege of getting to meet has been knowledgeable and very helpful! This specific Lowe's store has been the best I've been to!

Very disappointing experience in the counter top department of the Lynchburg Lowe’s. A lot of confusion with the associates on the operating system they are now using for counter tops. You can no longer use your Lowe’s Pro Card for purchasing counter tops yet can walk to the department right around the corner and use your Pro Card in flooring. The explanation was the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard and that was that you can no longer use that card because you are saving more money with their new system. Now simple math tells you that if you take the square footage and multiply it by the price you will get an estimate. If my estimate and there estimate are the same where am I saving more money than what I save using a Pro Card? They were clueless.2 associates and one manager later we were told by Kristen that she would work up a quote in their old system and get back with us first thing the next day when she came in at 10am. 3 days later we get an email that we need to come in and talk to another associate, still no resolution.Needless to say we knew it was not going to be a satisfactory experience so went else where and made our purchase. What is the advantage of having a contractors pro card for buisness remodels if you can’t use it?I feel confident this is a training issue Lowe’s. Up your game and train your people please so you are not wasting our time.Thank you.Amanda Mills

Do not purchase a warranty through Lowe's. After calling the number we were told to call and going through many auto menus, we finally connected with someone that would start a claim. They scheduled a service with a local company. The service was scheduled over a week out. That day came and they did not show up and canceled our service call. Called Lowe's back to ask for another service company and the person on the phone hung up on us after we complained about the original service company that was scheduled and asked for another company. Upon googling the service company, found out they had 2 star negative reviews with other reviewers saying the same thing about the company canceling their appointment. Obviously Lowe's does not intend to honor a warranty claim or make it too difficult for the homeowner so they give up.

One of our favorites. Very clean and this Lowes is much nicer than our hometown so we travel 20 miles to go to this one. Much larger variety and the garden dept is second to none!
