Came to the store to get a work shirt. No big deal. Until the woman came up to me and my husband and seemed to act like she wanted to help me find what I “needed”. She proceeded to take me to a section in the store the farthest from the entry of the store and left me in the kids department where obviously she couldn’t find what I needed. She assumed I was stealing. I went back to where she found me and just a rack over was a black shirt that I needed. The dressing room was closed for that area and I approached her register where she had a group of her friends taking over the counter. She didn’t seem to want to tell me where the fitting rooms were at all because I was interrupting her. And still after all that they harassed my husband while I was trying on my clothes. And when I put my clothes on the rack they had a woman there to count them. While I watched them care less about everyone else. Do better!

I went for some perfume samples. Kinda disappointed with the limited selection. Smallest Sephora I've been in. But there was really nobody in there. Which is why I questioned why it was not so easy to get want assistance.

I was really disappointed in the salon. I went in to ask about pricing for a perm. I have long hair...so I knew it would be a little pricey. However, it appears they are encouraged to add as much to the service requested as they can. I was told I needed a 6" haircut (fee), a style (fee) on top of the perm I actually wanted. $190.Well, a little over my budget...so later was told that the "mousse and style" could be taken off the price. Hmmmm....then why was it added to begin with. I prefer an HONEST estimate, with options added PER MY AGREEING, not the other way around.I cancelled my appointment and found someone who wasn't being pushed to charge more. 😞**the two stars are for the employees who were very nice.

One of the last classic mall anchors, has great staff but few, as well as good deals and even a hair salon in the store itself, something I didn't think was a thing anymore.

I had my hair cut as an undercut at the salon yesterday, and I had a great experience. Yaya was my stylist and she was amazing! Not only did she have an amazing personality, but she also told me everything she was doing, which I really appreciated. It helped me feel very comfortable as I could process things easier in my brain. She also made sure everything was exact & precise, which I appreciated. I recommend her as your stylist if you go to the salon.

What a let down. Like going into big lots. No workers hardly. No services hardly. And no items are properly displayed so you know what they have. Like a 3rd world feel. Went elsewhere. And very few customers. Might be closing this store soon.

I would give one but I understand that they are understaffed and some of the staff were actually professional and nice but one particular employee was very nasty and unprofessional before I even could get a full sentence out. The initial cashier I went to had a very long line and kindly ask me to go to Jewelry and SEE if I could be checkout there since I only had one thing (and return if the cashier there SAID she couldnt) but as soon as I go over to the Jewelry department, I’m met with instant attitude and when i attempt to answer her on why I’m over there… she repeatedly interrupts me and turns her back to me while giving attitude (saying she couldn't help to go somewhere else because she was helping another customer.. insinuating as if I couldn’t see her with the male customer. I wasn’t rushing her, nor did I give any attitude when I approached the area. As long as she’s there, I will not be spending my money there. I felt very disrespected and uncomfortable. Luckily another staff worker stepped in and helped at checkout.

I had my hair cut at the salon. The women who work there are wonderful. I was SO happy with the results. I was treated like a friend, not just a client. Very very happy with the entire visit.

Went for the black Friday deals and they were great. The salesperson that helped me was really nice. I love a pleasant shopping experience.

Prices on some items are rediculous. My daughter wanted a dress that was retailed over $100. JCPenney having a 40% off sale. Which made the dress more reasonable. But, the bottom.of all the dresses in her size, were Brown from dirt. I asked the associate if we could get an additional discount, and he said only 10% but then the item would be non-returnable. I don't really know how they're planning on selling a $60 dress that's already damaged. But I wasn't very happy with what they offered me. Granted, the guy that was helping me, was super kind and he understood where I was coming from.

I love JC Penny- its a great place to shop. I can always find something for the whole family . The sales and rewards are nice year round i definitely feel i save on my purchases . I needed a nice wallet- but didn't want to spend alot. I found the perfect one on sale in my price range- i also found great deals on shirts. The sales gentleman was awesome! He helped me with all my purchases. I even got a few early Christmas gifts 🎁. Everyone please support your local store as i do!!

This location is decent. I usually shop for children's clothes, bathroom supplies (towels, etc), and household items (bedding, dish towels, etc). I've also used their portrait studio several times to have children/family photos taken. I would definitely recommend this location for those particular needs.

Great deals always in JC Penney's.And the thing that I love,they are one of the only places( that I know of),that if you purchase an item on sale,they will present a coupon for you to save more,now that's customer service.I purchased sweaters for my husband,at $60 to $75 each (4 sweaters) and walked out spending only $130,for all 4.Thanks for my savings,I shall return.3rd time this has happened.Someone at the corporate office believes in customer service.

I went into JCPenney’s Thursday night had Worst experience ever . Worst customer service I’ve ever seen in my life I will never return to the store again. The guy didn’t take Security tag off of the pants that I bought had to take the pants back in there they were dress pants he wrinkle them all up when I went to leave they fell out of the bag . Call them about the dress pants and guy told me They were not in the store I could come back and purchase another pair .

The lines were crazy. Which was a holiday. But the first easier we went to wasn't helpful at all. Then we had to shop again to use our coupon to go to another register which she helped allot more and explained it to use

my business was actually with Sephora, and they had some odd rules about returns. I had an online order that I was returning, and I was only able to get a certain type of store credit. however that store credit could not be applied back to another online order. so now I have credit, but I'm unable to use it on the products I need.

Today I bought a nice pair of bedroom slippers since my previous pair, bought elsewhere, are following apart. The people at JCPENNEY were also very helpful. I am looking forward to another visit there.

They have a large selection of items and lovely Sephora within the store. JCPenney is located in River ridge Mall in Lynchburg VA so you have much to visit while you are there. If you happen to be there for lunch Iron and Ale has a lovely mini restaurant in the center of the mall the turkey club is huge and plenty to share with your friend who is shopping with you.

The prices were pretty good, see eral good sales and clearances. The staff was friendly and helpful once I was able to find them. The store seemed like it was deserted though...not a good feeling.

Disappointing as per usual. (Sigh) Not sure what's happening to traditional shopping, but everytime I return to this store and mall I'm quickly reminded of why I love Amazon and online shopping in general. 🤦🏾♀️ Store was hot, merch was crowded, selection very poor and checkout process slower than the DMV. I am super good on returning to this, or really any RR store. 👌🏾
