I am giving it three stars for their selection (their selection is actually pretty good given the "clientele" that goes there). If I were just rating on the area/customers, then it would be 1 star. They have a camera in the parking lot because there are lots of "hood" types who go to this particular Food Lion. The store looks pretty clean, but I did not feel completely safe when I saw they have cameras and a security guard, but then it all made sense when I saw the "sort" of customers who go there. I imagine a lot of them must be truly awful to the poor workers there, and many probably shoplift, which is par for the course in Biden's America.

This one was not the cleanest or the most safest feeling Food Lion. There were cameras in the parking an a guard inside. I know Food Lion is great at protecting customers and employees. I'm glad they are doing all they can I am just speaking to what my 1st impression also just being honest.

They are ALWAYS having issues with their money services. You expect it occasionally but it's every single time. If the printer paper is kept in a time delay safe that takes twenty minutes to open wouldn't you think to make sure it is in stock? Just another wasted trip to Food Lion.

First time in Food Lion in some years. The employees were very pleasant and informative. I've had a bonus card for years, and whenever I would come in, I noticed I wasn't getting the sale price. I knew it was an old card and it needed to be updated. However of course now everyone has an app and you need to download it and add the card or get a new number. How inconvenient to constantly be told you need an app. Ok, fine...I downloaded the app and tried to attach my card and what do you know...the app was having error issues. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️ Call customer service and she just told me to wait a few days the try again. Well, this most recent dilemma occurred right after Christmas. My last attempt was on Jan 3rd, and still nothing. I'm done, maybe I will try again in a few more days however I'm not in a rush to be frustrated all over again.

I go here everyday. Shout out Jazzy!!!! And My other boos. Super helpful and they help me out so much. I had a sugar attack one day and the produce guy actually was an emt and helped me and bought me grapes. Also they have the best brownie cakes in the world.

I left my wallet here and didn’t realize it until almost 24 hours later. A staff member turned in my wallet. I am forever thankful for good people! I shop here often and this location always has what I need.

Told at 7:45pm "the til is pulled" so no reloading a card. Usually ALL Locations keep option open til at LEAST 9pm so that will probably stop my visits to THIS location. And I've made many visits here and spent a lot so oh well

love food lion great price and a lot of good items. the store is always not packed and you can get in and out in no time. best part is the MVP club we save so much on that each week and its free to join. its not a walmart but its got a ton of the same stuff and some of its cheaper and dare say better at times the food counter has some good food deals and the store is the only one who has my fave ice cream in stock all the time.

Worst experience ever at a food lion! Tim Dooley is extremely rude to customers who come there. I came there to shop and while I was looking around my condition started happening and I ran to the nearest bathroom to throw up . Unfortunately due to my condition I throw up multiple times a day it’s very uncomfortable. As I was waiting for my stomach to stop hurting a man came in who works there named Tim Dooley and he threatened to call the police if I wasn’t out of the bathroom in 5 min. He didnt care or have any consideration for my condition. Just kept saying I’m trying to take care of customers and he must of seemed to forget I’m a customer too. You know when a customer is in pain like that and trying to get it to stop so they can go about there day you should try and help them instead of being rude and inconsiderate. My advice go to Kroger I’ve never been kicked out of Kroger for my condition they make me feel welcome there unlike food lion

Love this place! I should be able to live here rent free because I shop so much! They always have some sort of sale going on. I love their produce, I wish there were more organic choices, however I am pleased with what they do offer. Also, if you haven't gotten the app you may want to consider doing so. In fact, I highly recommend it. You earn money to spend just like cash. You can also load digital coupons, make grocery lists, track your progress and more!

I just had the most terrible experience when I call customer service and why do the managers do not inform me that the customer service was close at 8 o'clock PM I called at 8:16 on December 16th 2022 and came into the store shortly after that refuse service and made no excuses for the lack of clarity and fail to accommodate I spent $12 in a cab on my way here and I'm highly disappointed by the lack of customer service and confidency of the employees here.

I really like going here. It's close to home and everything is kept at a decent price. I was going to give it 4 stars for one reason only: over the last couple of years, renovation aside, they've been getting rid of some items that my household were buying on the regular. Not sure why. One day those certain products were there, then they weren't. I'm sure they have their reasons though, so nothing to remove a star over. Otherwise the place is kept VERY clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

The assistant manager told me I was not to run my card I had tried once pushed the wrong button and ask if I could do it again also told me that I have to have a pin when it was credit I pass this food lion to go to another store I will never come back to this stors

I like the chain. Food is fresh though some food items are rare. I wish they had fresh seafood. It would save me a trip way uptown to Krogers.

I was looking for a Boston butt to make BBQ and they had just what I needed. There meat looked great and was on sale for .99 cent a pound. The store was clean and well maintained. I would go there again

The store is always clean as expected but my issue is with the produce section. You guys have fell off so bad it's obvious whoever is the Produce Manager is not doing there job property. Every time I go to the ORGANIC section most if not all the bell peppers have mold on them. How is the even possible? If I pick up produce and I clearly see the mold soon as I pick it up, how did no one notice before me. So now I have to settle for the regular pesticide bell peppers. I literally had to hand the stocker back 5 organics bell peppers to throw out. It's so annoying because I shouldn't have to drive all the way to Kroger for quality produce when it's a grocery store in my neighborhood. DO BETTER 🗣️

It's really tight getting in and out of their parking lot...its worrying. They run out fast on sale and specialty items. Need to get there early. There's a guard there and the police station is down the street. This is not a good sign. Quality of food is on line. Needs more employee energy participation kind of thing with customers.

Memorial Ave Food Lion was superb in helping me at the last minute for some party details. Needed some chicken made and they were the only store to help me at the last minute! Cudos to a wonderful store manager named Andy Campbell. He made sure I had everything I needed before I left the store . Thank you Andy Campbell and associates!!

Food lion has all the groceries you need, and plenty of them. My visit found the store clean, well organized and pleasant smelling. The produce was fresh, and the selection was good.

It seems to be the primary grocery store for the area with little to no competition. As a result it can be a little packed depending on when you go. If you're using the bus try to go before or after 5 o clock otherwise you might miss your bus back.
