Love these guys...the BEST fresh meat prices around ( even when not on sale, but ESPECIALLY when on sale)!And good, honest, hardworking people just trying to keep it going (that's my impression, at least...it's gotta be tough competing with Walmart, Kroger, food Lion)

I been shopping here for a longtime. Locals refer to it as our local mom & pop grocery store. I love there bulk meat selections and there great butchers.

This is a wonderful grocery store. Much (if not most of) the meat is locally sourced. Their sales are fantastic. Also, they carry some organic products and simple foods (canned or prepared food with few ingredients).

I usually go grocery shopping at Kroger because their fuel points program saves me anywhere from 10 cents to $1 per gallon, but I patronize the F & L Market at least twice a month to help support a local business. They also have a lot of ethnic food products that aren't available at giant supermarket chains like Kroger and Food Lion.

My first time there and I couldn't be more impressed really! They have an amazing selection (especially on meats) grate prices, and excellent service! What more could you ask for! I would definitely recommend everyone go check it out for yourself! There's no way you won't be pleased when you leave!

I finally found a Butcher Shop in Lynchburg !! I was making a comment to a friend last month about how it's really hard to find boneless chicken breast that's not tough and grainy. In the same conversation we complained about the cost of eggs, how all the Butcher Shops in the Lynchburg area have closed, and why finding a good cut of beef or ham is almost impossible. A third friend who was listening suggested we try F and L Market on Memorial Ave. I told him I had seen it but had never been there.The meat department is unlike anything you have seen in Lynchburg. Literally chock full of beef cuts, ham, country bacon, chicken breast bone-in or quartered.The prices per pound for beef and chicken were $.25 to $.50 per pound lower than what I had been paying.But the best part is I have finally found a good butcher shop, and the chicken breast I eat most every night isn't tough and grainy.

Owner, Todd Ramsey, is sure to make your shopping at F&L Market a pleasure! Amazing selection of quality fresh meats and veggies. Try F&L Market’s house-made sausage which is perfectly seasoned. Fresh oysters in season also. I’m always tempted by their bakery goods which are half the price of most other grocery stores and very tasty.

My husband and I have been customers of F & L Market even before it was called F & L Market and unless there are a lot of changes in the future we will continue to shop there. There is not another grocery store in town where you can go to the meat department and get custom cut meat. GW, the meat manager, is fantastic and his staff is as equally cordial and as cooperative as he is. They all go out of their way to make their customers happy. I will also like to recognize the entire staff at F & L for the kindness that each of them display when greeting customers. Great people, great attitudes and great customer service.

This place should be shut down by the health dept. Rolls of bologna and lunch meats solid gray. Bags of pepparonie gray. I got 5 pounds of hamburger. That was pink by the time I got home 40 minutes later. It was gray and had to be thrown away. This was on a cool day.. fruits and veggies looked terrible. This use to be a very nice store but not anymore. Not clean at all. Don't go there.

It's better than you expected. By this I mean there's plenty of fresh items that are a little off brand maybe but all the same quality and just as good. The cashier's and store personnel work hard to give attention to each individual member and deliver a quality experience for all; and the overall shopping experience is pleasant and thought out.

I love this place but don't get to shop here frequently. The Meat Department is AWESOME! They have Pork Trotters! They have Chicken Feet! They have Turkey Gizzards! They have Turkey Wings! They have the butcher ON SITE! Walmart, Food Lion, Tops, Albertson's, Kroger?... Not gonna happen! F and L is intimate, familial, and soothing to my frequently overwhelmed senses. Thank you, everyone!

The store is very filthy and people please be aware that the meat may be old or very brown. I have noticed how dark and fast the meats turn brown.. Also there are mice dropping inside the produce bins.. Yuck what makes matters worse there are visible cockroaches everywhere..

Great!!!I have and will be an F & L gal.The prices and quality of their meats(especially with the prices and outages of everything since the pandemic)is wonderful.I make a special trip every month or so because I am not close to them.If I was closer,I would frequent weekly,because of the deals and quality of meats.Thank you for servicing your patrons,during a time where quality products and prices mean more than seemingly before.Not to mention,they are fully stocked...NO OUTS,YASSSSSS.

As Mr. Claybaugh said, the place isn't much to look at, but the staff is courteous and helpful, and the prices are very good. We go there for the meats, mostly. They are fresh, high quality, and the prices are unbeatable!Also, the F&L is locally owned, which is a big plus. Give them a try.

GW and the rest of the butchers at F&L take care of you. To be able to pick up the phone, call in an order and KNOW it is going to be right when you get there. Pretty awesome. They also carry Formula L Biscuit mix. Not easy to find. There is a reason the prices are low, yes the store is modest in appearance but they deliver where it counts!

I shop there quite often, and every time the staff is extremely nice and helpful., not to mention the fresh produce and the EXELLENT meat department, whereas the butchers will cut meat anyways you want it.
