The hotel is next to a 50s style diner where you check in. Parking lot is nice sized and close to I-64 but not large enough for big rig. Our room wasn't too bad, definitely dated with only 3 lackluster pillows and a couple of towels. At least it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The area and room was quiet. The food from the diner was delicious and open 24 hours. We'd stay there again as it was close to family.

This place is an odd gem. The adjacent 50's styled diner doubles as the front desk of the hotel. The rooms are pleasant-smelling and very clean with very little wear and tear. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR (¿) But the steps are easy. That's about the worst thing I can say about the place. The 2nd shift crew were very friendly and helpful when we couldn't get access to the building with our key. A much nicer place than you'd expect to find in the area and for the price!

Even though the hotel isn't brand new and up to date it still was in good condition, staff was very nice and hospitable. There is a diner next door open 24/7 that has great food as well, which is actually where you check in at. Pet friendly rooms for no additional fee great view of the mountains surrounding the area as well. We would definitely stay here again when in the area.

My stay was nice & cozy. Sometimes my texts messages didn't want to go thru, but hey I was in the mountains right. I didn't have breakfast, but I had a nice juicy burger. Tip: request Texas Toast vs. a bun. There was a late check-in so they were a little loud above me until they got settled. My next stay I will request upstairs & I will remember to be courteous to the people below me 🤫. FYI they don't have an elevator. Depending on your situation, the steps are doable. They're not steep & they're wide. The room was clean & comfortable. Friendly staff.Rooms: The beds are comfortable, the pillows weren't bad, but for some reason hotels use small pillows now. I will say the beds seemed a little small for a queen, but I didn't have any issues. Nice water pressure for shower. Equipped with microwave & fridge. The room had everything I neededFood & drinks: Penny's diner is onsite. It's unique railroad car diner with good food & options.

Really nice place to stay, pleasantly surprised. You have to check in at the diner next to it (Pennys), no biggie as they are very efficient.Rooms: Rooms very clean, no issues.Safety: Felt very safe here even though there isn't a lobby.

We had a single night at this hotel while passing through the area. It fit our needs fine, with clean accommodations and low noise, especially for being so close to Interstate 64.Its an odd feel for a hotel, with no lobby or elevator. All dealings with the staff is done at the diner next door, including check in and out. We did not eat at the diner, as when we checked in there was an odd smell that put off my wife.

Before even staying we called 2 times to ask questions and were hung up on each time. Upon getting into our room it looked fairly okay except that the floors in the room were super sticky and gross, and the television remote didn't turn on the television properly. Then the morning of leaving we were called at 9 bothering us about when we were leaving check out is at 11 not 9, we were told the day before we couldn't check in early but they want to harass us about leaving early? That is ridiculous. The diner had children running behind the counter (related to the lady working back there) and the staff were talking on their cellphone while preparing the meal we ordered super gross. The food was also super nasty. Would not recommend staying here overall it's a gross unprofessional environment

This is an inexpensive place to stay, so the rooms are small and do not feature lots of amenities; however, my coworker and I found our rooms very clean (much better than Hampton Inn in Covington), serviceable, with comfortable beds. If stairs are difficult for you, make sure to speak up when you reserve. We did not see an elevator. Despite proximity to the interstate, it was reasonably quiet, and the 24 hour diner makes food easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you're looking for pampered luxury, try the Hillcrest Mansion Inn at Clifton Forge, but if you're looking for an easy, quiet, basic stay Travelodge is a good choice.

First of all, there is no elevator. My husband recently had knee surgery so the stairs with luggage was very difficult. Secondly, you have to check in and out of the diner next to it which was weird but ok. Upon arriving in the room, we noticed that there were blood stains on the pillow case. There was hair and mold inside the refrigerator. No toiletries were in the room as far as shampoo and conditioner. The previous guests towels were left hanging on the bathroom door. I felt dirtier after showering as there was human hair all over the shower and bathtub was dirty. The windows were dirty with fingerprints all over them. For the price I paid for the two rooms, it was really disappointing.

Our stay was close to perfect. The only complaint we had was the condition of the bed and pillows. The mattress appeared to be very new, but wasn't comfortable at all, almost like an air mattress. In addition, only three pillows were provided for two people, and the ones that were were definitely low quality, almost flat. If the bedding situation could be improved, I'd give it 5/5.

The hotel was very clean. Friendly staff. Has all the necessities needed for a hotel. One thing that caught me by surprise was that they have Matrix shampoo - a high end shampoo you only see in salons (according to my wife who went to school for cosmetology.) I recommend staying here if you need a cheap, clean place to stay. It's right next door to the diner for a good breakfast or dinner and has quick access to the highway and 2 gas stations for fueling up before heading back out on your way.

Rooms were clean and quiet. Plenty of hot water. Carpets look new, rooms were in good shape, appliances all worked. AC worked well and was quiet. Diner food was good and fresh. No elevator to 2nd floor but stairs are even and wide. I would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely weekend stay at the Travelodge. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We reserved rooms for several friends and family members, so I was so happy to hear from everyone that they were pleased! Penny’s diner was a treat for breakfast in the mornings!!

Clean, staff are friendly, accommodating and conveniently located within the town. There are limited options for hotels here, and this is a solid pick out of what is available. Dog friendly!

If it would let me give a 0 star I would. You have to check in at Penny's Diner. When I arrived, I walked into the Diner, and there was no one at the counter area at all, or seen working (just a few diners). It was 5 minutes before a gentleman came from the back area asking if I had been helped. I replied I had not, and I was there to check in. He made a phone call to someone, and they arrived 3 minutes later to check me in. The room had coffee droplets on the counter sink area, there was hair on the shower wall. With Covid issues, the rooms are not being wiped down with a basic clean, much less having confidence they are sanitized. The cleaning lady the next morning had a mask on around her neck, but did not have it on her face. Wi-Fi is not secure, there was no guest login, so anyone nearby can access it.

Friendly and helpful staff. They were great to me as I was stranded from out of state when my work vehicle broke down. The manager and staff at Penny's Diner next door which is affiliated with the hotel we're awesome too!

Clean rooms. Great value. Friendly check in and prompt response to extra linens. (We did not eat at the diner.) If you are disabled, be sure to ask for the ground floor as I did not see an elevator for the second floor rooms.

Our Room wasn’t cleaned for 2 days! No clean towels, trash not removed, bed not made, no toilet tissue. Even after complaining the first day, it happened a 2nd day! Staff has no clue what customer service is. Absolutely horrible experience. I would not recommend anyone staying here. Don’t waste your money. If there was a way to give minus stars, I would.

Clean enough. Quiet enough. It’s a reasonable night’s sleep but that’s about it. In room mini fridge (makes a bit of high pitched noise) and a mini fridge. Right off the freeway, so it’s convenient, but the sound of trucks on the highway is noticeable.

Exactly what you’d expect from a hotel at this price point. Sheets were clean and the bed was comfortable. My only complaint is that the room smelled like mildew.

I had my doubts when I booked the reservation, but I was pleasently surprised. Small hotel with a 24/7 restaurant. Room was clean, comfortable and reasonably quite. Food was good and reasonably priced.
