Took my old girl here to be put down after she had a stroke, and as emotional as it was, the staff was very friendly and understanding. The lady who took us brought in a box of tissues and waited until I was ready to go through with it. Everyone there was very caring and it made the situation a whole lot easier. Thank you to the staff for being so nice and making everything so much easier, you are so amazing for the care you provide.

Some of the nicest people working here. They truly love what they do and it shows. I love that they get down on the floor with my dog and they give him sooo much love. I highly recommend. I no longer live in Nelson but I still drive out from Charlottesville because I love this place that much.

They are responsive, informative, nice, great treatment options, they seem to like the animals, reassuring, friendly, take the time to listen and answer questions and fears, although I know that they are very busy - no one there ever seems rushed or overwhelmed and they always pause and address your questions, and they are always timely, they are kind and thoughtful, and it seems like they work together as a cohesive group. We have appreciated the care our pets have received from Dr. Eggleston, an outstanding veterinarian with just the right balance of professional medical skill and personal touch. She guided us through the difficult decision of when to say goodbye to our beloved cat, and has managed the trick of treating our otherwise angelic Lab who transforms into a very reluctant patient when he enters a vet’s office. The vet techs are patient, kind, knowledgeable and informative as well. Highly recommend!

Care and followup by Lovingston Veterinary Hospital is first rate. Love that I didn't have to followup with them when I made a request for a copy of my pup's test results to be mailed to me. They did it right away and followed up with me via phone letting me know what the results were and that this had emailed me the results. Its getting more and more unusual these day's to have a company do what they say they are going to do when they agreed to do it with out you doing a lot of follow-up with them.

Absolutely appreciative of the amazing staff and service we have received. After shortly moving here, our elderly boxer had to be put to sleep. Unfortunately it was over winter break and my kids had to come with me. We hadn't even been to their office before this unfortunate event. The staff was so sensitive and was even continuing to rub my little angel as we pulled away. My kids really felt like they loved her so much.Sadly 6 months later, our puppy is currently being treated for tetanus and once again they have gone above and beyond treating him. I can not say how appreciative we are for their care of our fur babies.

My pup was in for a yearly check up. They discovered that he was tick infected which I had no idea. They also started him on a new dental chew which is working great and will probably save me a lot of money. I love all the staff, they are professional but kind.
