I loved my recent visit to this bookstore. I didn't know what to expect; it's pretty plain from the outside and it's easy to miss but I ran into Judy and her husband Larry who are the owners of the most beautiful collection of objects and books and ideas that I have seen in a very long time. It is such a spectacular place! I had handfuls. I had to make multiple trips out to my car because it was such a great place and I couldn't resist certain objects and certain books. I'll get pics next time!

Such a great place to purchase almost anything you can think of. Tons of Dvd's, VHS, and records. More books than a small town library. Lots of antiques, knick knacks, and tchotchkes. The folks were nice and be on the look out for slim the cat.

We stopped on 11/13/21 There is a ton of old books, a bit musty, A few antiques. We didn't find many items we were interested in. A couple items we liked were a bit much. But we may stop by if we are in the area again.

When I walked in the door my jaw dropped at how much there was. Lots of used books! You can get lost in the shelves!

Loved it. Great selection of books to choose from. A huge amount of books all set up nice and organized. You could be looking for books in here for days. Well reccomend

This is mostly a bookstore with antiques, not an antique store with books, important distinction. That being said, it's a very good bookstore with many-many titles.

Great place to browse and find unique gift ideas. My husband bought me a picture of an old mill here, a praying angel and a Dickens light up church for Christmas. I really love all 3 of them. Very reasonable in their prices too. I highly recommend this place.

Mostly books but some interesting antiques as well. Big variety including rarities for fans of any genre, I had some great pulp sci fi finds at good prices. Definitely recommend if you're passing through.

Tons of books and good owners. Books are however priced retail or collector prices (They do need to make $ also). Overall a good experience. Got some good books there.

Huge warehouse full of mostly books. There are some antiques, but the things we found were priced above what we were willing to pay for them. They could be helped by a better filing system for the books, it was mostly a free-for-all throughout the booths.

The Blue Moon is a great shopping experience. I stop by every time I'm in town. I could browse for hours. Such a neat, eclectic, antiquing mall/store. Judy and Larry are some of the kindest people I've met while in Nelson County. I never leave the Blue Moon empty handed. Something for everyone. A must stop when traveling on Route 29. Halfway between Charlottesville and Lynchburg 🤗👍🌙💖💯

This place is a lot of fun. Super quirky space packed with books and curiosities. Good for finding unconventional reads and gifts, and an enjoyable browsing and looking experience.

We stopped by on our vacation. They should call this Blue Moon Book mall as over half of the store is nothing but books. There really isn't much in the way of antiques to look at. Not somewhere I would go back to. My husband did find some XBox games to buy though...

Rude employee and store is nothing but trash trinkets that people couldn't sell at a yard sale. Not worth the trip. Also, they tried to charge me extra for paying with a credit card. I will not be back...

Great place to find used books!!! Great Virginiana section. Hard to find titles. Not really an antique store... just a few...this is a book store.
