This is an amazingly gorgeous winery a bit off the beaten path which makes it even more spectacular. My sister and I took my father here for Father’s Day and it was lovely. Stunning setting and incredible wine. So much nicer than 99% of wineries I’ve been to in VA. It was such a peaceful place and the wine only added to the serenity. The people working there (maybe the owners) were so accommodating and kind. I cannot say enough good about this gem! I will return again and again.

Just spent the day at Hiddencroft Vineyards and had an amazing time! Thank you Clyde, Terry and Clayton for a great experience! We did the history tour with food and wine pairings. It was spectacular! Absolutely loved our time here and become case club members.Returned Sept 28th! Clyde and Clayton remembered us from our last trip in June. Absolutely love the people at Hiddencroft Vineyards!

Consistently good wines; some white, some reds, and some fruit wines. Tasting consists of 11 selections. Tasting room is in the original property farmhouse; property includes other historic out buildings. Tasting room is small, but they have a nice barn they open up when crowded. Owners (husband and wife) and staff are super friendly; if you are lucky to have the husband (winemaker) pour your tasting he is a wealth of knowledge that he will share if it isn't too busy. Well worth the trip.

Pleasant little vineyard in an out of the way corner. A nice $10 tasting flightt. Wines were not to out taste. Be advised it is a bit of a hike from the parking lot to the tasting house.

We went here for our anniversary and sat outside. They also have 4 separate indoor bedrooms as the tasting room is a house. Outdoors is just lovely they have all of these beautiful flowers planted for the monarch butterflies. The porch overlooks the vines so it's a nice area to sit. They currently offer two wine tasting. One is all dry and the other contains semi sweet and fruit wines. None of the wines are super sweet. It's $10/tasting and it includes 6 samples in these little bottles that you then pour into a plastic cup or you can bring your own glass. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be returning!Side note: if you like goat cheese with your wine stop at this little store called George Mills, it was very close and contained other cute items like little crocheted hens shown in my photos.

Love this hidden gem 💕 I've been a case club members for years. Clyde (owner) is great and you can feel his passion for wine in all he does. They are open for carry-out, outdoor seating with plenty of beautiful views and distancing - plus, they have found an awesome way to offer wine tastings again! Perfect for an afternoon of wine, food & friends (you can bring your own food). Definitely give it a try!

The winery is on the road and land that my ancestors settled when they emigrated to America from Germany. He was very knowledgeable about our family history and shared some cool memorabilia with .e whe i was there

This has to one of, if not my favorite wineries to visit. The wine is great, prices are reasonable, and the setting is spectacular. It's a historic house that you can sit upstairs in different bedrooms that are converted to seating areas. You can take a walk to a little bridge and creek and see some nice cabin style outbuildings. It is a perfect setting for me and I recommend it.

My wife and I chose Hiddencroft as our first stop on our Northern Virginia wine country weekend adventures and the experience couldn't have started things off any better! The owners Clyde and Terry were so sweet and informative as we went through our tastings of the local varietals. All of the wines were delicious but we settled on bottles of the Petit Verdot and a Cab Franc Rose to share with our friends back home. It's a little more north in the wine region but we'll worth your time with all it's charm. Thanks again!

A must-visit vineyard in the DC-MD-VA area! Gorgeous location, conveniently located near the Appalachian trail and phenomenal wines. Hiddencroft has an excellent selection of semi-sweet to dry wines and delicious fruit wines. I'd buy everything if I could, they're all incredible. I make a point to stop by every time I'm in the area. The staff and owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. Hands down one of my favorite vineyards of all time!

Great winery off the beaten path (but not too far off!). Benjamin did our tasting, he was so animated and knowledgeable. Wines were very tasty, especially the fruit wines, which you don't find too many of nearby. The owner/winemaker Clyde introduced himself and was very friendly and kind. The grounds have some old restored buildings that are really cool and there's even a creek that runs through the property. They have lots of nice outdoor seating and a huge fire pit.

Wonderful first visit to Hiddencroft! We were grateful to do our tastings with Clyde. He was a wealth of knowledge and made our first visit there fantastic. They had a wonderful selection of wines, our favorites being the cab franc, cherry fruit wine, chambourcin reserve, and the dry traminette. We were pleasantly surprised by their fruit wines. They were flavorful without being too sweet. Looking forward to our next visit!

Excellent wines and a very knowledgeable staff have made this one of my favorite wineries in the area. Light white and bold red wines are joined by a host of fruit wines that serve to set Hiddencroft apart. The tasting room is in a beautiful old house, and a deck and patio outside offer plenty of seating in a beautiful setting, with a roaring bonfire outside on the weekends in the colder months.

Very warm and friendly staff!! And, very knowledgeable about their wines!! Clayton was our wine server and not only made us feel very welcomed but also did an excellent job of describing the wines and providing an overall exceptional experience!! Not only for us, but also for other guests from what we observed. Most definitely will be back.

We got to do our wine tasting when the winemaker was around, so he was able to answer all the really tough questions about their wine. They had dark chocolate, white chocolate, and crackers to go with the tasting which was really enjoyable. We sampled a lot of really good wine during the tasting! They do primarily use french oak on their wines, but they keep the oak flavor balanced.

Wonderfully friendly winery located just off the beaten path in NoVA. We went with our 2 dogs on a chilly Friday afternoon and the gentleman working at the time built us a very nice fire ahead of our arrival so we could sit outside comfortably. They are one of the few wineries I have seen doing tastings and they have made them self guided to ensure adherence to COVID restrictions. Several of the Reds we tried were very good and we took a few home as well. You can also bring in your own food if you'd like to enjoy a meal in the picturesque scenery.

Went here yesterday with my wife and had an amazing time. Clayton did our tasting and was phenomenal. Bit of a hike to get up here but it was worth every mile. The wine was amazing, the views serene and the service was wonderful. We have been to probably about 40ish vineyards/wineries in Virginia in the 12 years we've been living here and this one just topped them all. Wish I could give it 6 stars

Nice hidden gem winery away from the crowds with a laid-back casual vibe and great wine! The staff is super friendly and glad we made an indoor reservation for 2 in the Cat room on the main floor. There are 4 rooms with different capacities downstairs and upstairs and spread apart for socially distancing. There's also outdoor seating and a nice large communal firepit where dogs are welcomed! The views are nice and the ambiance is serene. It's peaceful and relaxing without the chaotic crowds at other wineries.Best of all you can bring your own food! There's a small refrigerator with cheeses, water, snacks, and crackers too.Wine isn't sold by the glass, only tastings or bottles. The staff will recork the wine bottles so you don't have to worry about committing to a full bottle! The affordable $8 tastings are self-guided and worth it! My hubby and I enjoyed the White flight more than the dry Red flight. The fruity wines weren't as sweet as we expected with a bold cherry flavor. My hubby's favorite wine was the 2018 Traminette, which is an off-dry white with 1% residual sugar and tastes like Champagne. My pick was the 2019 Petit Manseng is a bit sweeter with 2.5% residual sugar and taste like a Riesling.Unable to decide which bottle to buy, we took the staff's recommendation and bought both bottles and combined them! To our pleasant surprise, they taste like Mead! The Traminette balanced out the sweetness of the Petit Manseng. Best of all, you can get a twin pack of both wines for only $31! That's a stellar deal as the 2019 Petit Manseng is $24 while the 2018 Traminette is $18. Definitely recommend it! It was so good that we went back the next day and bought a twin pack for my parents as their anniversary gift!Excited to come back in the spring with our pup and pick up another twin pack!

This winery is tied as my favorite. I love their reds! Also, they have amazing fruit wines. They have cherry, blackberry, raspberry and blue berry. All of them taste like you are eating the berry liquefied, absolutely amazing. They have a huge fire pit/ paddio that's awesome. If you have a large group, this place has space.
