Literally just had the worst experience. The manager explained that they aren’t expecting gift cards because of some magnet strip issue. Not only did she have an attitude when I asked her to swipe it she didn’t even want to swipe it. She got loud in the store and started yelling. This is the most rude customer service I could have experienced. Will be telling all my neighbors in Louisa not to come here again.

The True Value in Louisa, VA is awesome! The friendly people and the products reminds me of the better days of a family owned and operated, country hardware store. They may not have everything a big box store has, but they have what those stores don't...appreciation for their customers.

Went to purchase concrete for my flag pole installation. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Purchased the concrete and they loaded on the truck. Nice local hardware store.

I usually like their selection and their prices but their customer service is absolutely horrible. Oh and don't ever ask the old woman for because she is absolutely useless. I asked a simple question and she basically threw her hands up.

DO NOT SHOP HERE! Worst customer service i have ever experienced period. And I have never written a review EVER! They lie to get your money then tell you to contact the manufacturer if it breaks 1 day later! Was instructed in person on upon purchase I could return if wasn't satisfied!!!! I am a local and have spent thousand and thousand of dollars there teyj g ti support a steadily diei g small business. There desperate and it showing badly. Lost another customer for 298.00 lol.

Visited for the first time today. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Came in to get paint and the manager made a perfect match using the computer and a sample I brought in on a piece of scrap wood. He even offered to save the information if we needed more of the same colour. Bonus for us: dogs are welcome. Took a quick walk of the store and was impressed by the variety of merchandise. Will go back.

Husband went in to buy Christmas lights and blow up decorations which were on sale. Asked for the snowman and the employee brought him an empty box and said it was for the store display. Husband said no he wanted it new or if getting the store display wanted a discount since already used. Employee said no and refused to even ask the manager. Husband then asked for the Santa and it was the same situation. Employee said that the displays had been up three weeks. So basically a USED item and we're expected to pay full price? Employee was rude and refused to even talk to manager and called my husband ridiculous. Husband walked out without purchasing anything and WE WILL NO LONGER SHOP AT THIS STORE. What's ridiculous is the expectation to pay full price for a used item. Will continue to support Tractor Supply who discounted an item I wanted but the only one they had left was cracked, the 5% they gave off was better than nothing for an item that wasn't as intended. SO GOODBYE TRU VALUE. Maybe you should look into hiring people with manners.

I usually like like going in here when i can't make it to lowes, because it local but today when i went in some of the customers service i received was horrible., I bought spray paint from here last Tuesday, and when i went to paint what i had ine of the paint cans nozzle was broken. So one I realized I took it back but, but they didn't have anyone, was told twice that the teuck was coming and both time I went it wasn't there. So this time I just returned the items. When doing so one of the ladies that that had checked me out last week when i bought the paint asked me if i bought the paint from there, or was i trying to pull a fast one over on them because the paint can didn't have a sticker on it like some of the other paint. Like really why would I have a Receipt for the paint if i didn't buy it from there, like really?... I spend a lot of money in there when I do go, but never again. Especially when that brand paint is 2$ cheaper in walmart then there. I won't be stepping foot, in there again, and if you want to excuse of basically stealing, I wouldn't go there!

Awful customer service. Reserved a rental a week prior to use. Showed up to pick it up and was denied rental due to lack of a major credit card. Manager would not even consider that a local regular customer could pay cash for the unit. I will not return. Shame to see small town store reject a local customer. To the big box store I go.

Usually has everything I've went in there for. Not sure why I usually get the same cashier super slow check out. Has left me at the counter several times to go assist another customers entering the store. UPDATE: This store has expanded in back and offer more products.

They had what I was looking for. The cashier yelling to ask if I needed help with anything, though appreciated, was a little awkward. It would have been better if the couple of people that were actually working the floor asked if I needed help or at the very minimum greeted me.

We have had nothing but bad experiences since we purchased a lawn mower here that had to be serviced after only using it 4 times. It took 3 weeks to fix and still had the same issues. The store manager is SOOOO RUDE he hung up on us. We called back our phone calls were put on hold and sent to voice mail. Needless to say if you have to drive 40 to 50 miles to get good service from a good company do so. You won't get it here!!!!!

Great customer care, prices aren’t bad however, do not take your chains for your chainsaw to get sharpened there. They told me it would take a day and a week later they were still sitting unsharpened and the guy said there were at least 50-60 chains ahead of me.

Louisa Hardware is very helpful and supportive. They have donated things for the High school and the owners are very friendly and always willing to help. The few times that I have had problems, they have worked with me to fix it and even made special orders to get things I needed.
