As a nurse I know patients can be difficult but my Lord this has to be the most rude and disgusting staff I've ever met. Not only do they not try to give you any information but they are just nasty with you because they can be. Never will I ever recommend a patient go here. Never will I ever go here again never will I ever have a prescription pill here again. This is dissuaded me from ever using a CVS Pharmacy in future. My recommendation is go to Walgreens right across the street I know I will and I will never never use this POS CVS....

This place is terribly managed. Instead of working on prescriptions as they come in, they wait until people arrive, and then a backlog of customers are created in the form of a line. Instead of opening another register when the line gets more than three people long, they keep the same person at the same computer while other techs are just standing around, moving robotically as if they hate their jobs. The reality is likely. I’ve worked as a pharmacy technician before, at Walmart, so I understand the role. I understand what is good practice and what is not. The truth is, the manager has to go and house must be cleaned. I’ve already been stigmatized and stereotyped by the pharmacy manager there. Nothing changes, when everything could. Just because it’s in Louisa County does not negate the standard that CVS claims to expect of its pharmacy staff. It’s unacceptable, and it makes me think that they believe that the people of Louisa are too stupid to do anything about it. I’ve already threatened to contact the District Manager. They told me today that a medication that I need to prevent a health emergency was out of stock. When I asked why it had not been ordered, she told me the computer keeps track. Who keeps track of the computers, then? And why are the computers not programmed to order more of the medication at least a week in advance? There’s absolutely no reason for this level of negligence. I will be contacting the District Manager, and based on these reviews, I’d advise you all to do the same.

Ive never had a problem with the staff. The wait time can be long but people need to understand that some places are under-staffed. Take it easy on them. being rude and nasty isn't going to make them move any faster. If anything putting up with rude customers will delay them from doing their job. It's not like your the only person in the county getting meds. I appreciate the staff

Pharmacy staff here is terrible. Don’t know their own policies. To lazy to put in information on insurance so claims they don’t take it. If you hate your job then quit already.

I went to the ER for a back injury last night and was given the run around from CVS in town all day. I had someone go so that I wouldn’t drive due to pain and they told her they were out and could transfer if I called. I was in the phone queue for 1.5 hours and during that time my mom offered to go over to the Louisa CVS. Y’all closed in 11 minutes and wouldn’t fill it because it “takes 15”. I have never been more disappointed or shocked.

The absolute worst. The most helpful and kind techs typically transfer or leave all together. I’ve been in there waiting for prescriptions and have heard the pharmacist and the lady who is across from the pharmacist bad mouth their own employees. That same lady is consistently rude and unhelpful. Until you weed out the nasty disgruntled employees, your pharmacy will always be the laughing stock.

I moved to the area 6 months ago and used CVS back home so I had all my prescriptions transferred. Sometimes pharmacies get busy, they make mistakes.. that’s nothing new. This place, however, is a totally different beast. I’m not exaggerating at all when I say that literally. every. month. there has been an issue. Every time I try to fill a script. I’ve been told they would be ready at a certain time, multiple times, only to get there for them to tell me it actually isn’t ready. It has ended up not being ready until the next day. Staff filling the wrong script, the wrong amount, telling me they don’t even have the script and then I call back and talk to someone else who says they had it all along and that the prior lady I spoke with wasn’t “looking in the right place.” I called with an issue once and talked to an older sounding lady who put me on hold for 5 minutes, came back and told me she just straight up doesn’t know what to tell me and that management would have to call me back. Unsurprisingly, they never did. The final time I called a few days ago, because my doctor sent a script with refills that CVS claimed had none, the young lady on the phone was rude, dismissive and hung up on me. I then had my doctor transfer all my scripts and a weight has been lifted now that I don’t have to deal with this place anymore. I wish I’d have done it sooner. If you want to avoid a massive headache or if you rely on a set schedule for the medications you take, I personally recommend you stay far away from this embarrassment of an establishment. I find it hilarious that this morning CVS called me with an auto message about.. you guessed it...the refills to the script that they claimed they didn’t have. 😂 CVS Louisa, y’all need to get it together. I know I’m not the only one who’s had to deal with the ineptitude of your staff and it’s obvious that your reputation is awful.

This pharmacy has the WORST customer service. Impatient, rude staff. If you don’t want to answer customer questions why have this job?

CVS is the worst drugstore, something needs to be done about this place, to get a prescription is terrible, I went yesterday to get a flu and shingles shot, a rude pharmacist checked my social security card and said it had the wrong Birthday on it, dumb me wasn't thinking and I asked her what difference did it make, they let my shingles shot go through, she answered with an attitude, did I want to pay $106 for the flu shot, Ileft and went home and called Medicare, they said my birthday was right, so today I had to go to Montpelier CVS to get my flu shot, that place was so nice and the people were friendly, it's a shame, a place of business that is so needed to be like that!

We went tonight to fill my 5 year olds prescription and told it would be 30 minutes. Only to wait 3hrs after numerous times of jumping to the back of a long line. Then on top of everything their "system" doesn't read the Medicaid card that she uses everywhere else. I had to argue with staff for nothing while everyone else is being held up only to wait longer. This place is a mess!!!

My wife is on blood pressure medication and she has called for over a week and everytime she called they would say they haven't got anything from the doctors so she called her doctor and they said they sent the prescription. so she went to her doctor's office and they showed her they had sent it only for her to be lied to by CVS. So tonight when she went to get her Medication that she was out of for a week and found out they filled a 30 day supply instead of a 90 supply. And when she was standing in line and the lady's ahead of her it was the same thing to them their doctor never called. So i guess its ok to play God with people health over there medication. Oh and one other thing and i promise this you ever speak to my wife like you did. All i can say you better be glad she talked me out of coming to your store. Because you will not talk or talk over me like that. And you think im kidding try me

Rude, nasty employees. Pharmacy is completely incompetent. My child has been without her medication for 2 going on 3 days that effects her brain chemistry, even after the doctor called and told them she needed it TODAY I was told "check back tomorrow " unfortunately Walgreens doesn't accept my insurance any more they were much kinder, efficient and professional. I'll be driving 45 minutes to another store even though this store is literally across the street. This happens every month while the pharmacy employees smirk and snidely tell you "maybe later"...I'm done, from management to clerks horrible store, nasty people. Rating? -10

If I could give 0 stars I would. The worst part is the pharmacy. At times they have been out of medication, understaffed, unresponsive, and horrible customer service. Wait time for medications is unacceptable and communication between pharmacy and providers is tenuous at best. Since buying out a small local pharmacy there has been less competition and less desire to set themselves apart with good service. Prices in store for non pharmacy items are often much higher than others retail store nearby. Checking out is slow the majority of the time. This is a top down corporate issue but this local store really is one of the worst cvs locations I’ve been too.

This review is about the front of the store only. I went in to get a simple covid test. Since no one was working behind the counter 10:30am 10/9 I ended up walking all over the store looking for the tests on a shelf or to find an employee to assist finding one. After having no luck with either one I asked someone in pharmacy who told me they were kept behind the front counter. I said you know what they don't have behind the counter is a person so do I get it myself? The pharmacist called a man named Frank to meet me up front. It seems that I walked by Frank many times looking for an employee but who wouldn't? Frank was dressed very casual and only had a small name tag with his name on it. Nothing screamed CVS employee about him. Anyways Frank also was unable to run a register and made everyone use the self check out. He was also unable to assist a woman trying to mail a package. He told the woman he was unable to sign in to the system and turned her away. Not sure why they had 5 employees working the pharmacy and only 1 Frank up front? Update 041122: I was worried when my insurance company switched my med refills from Walgreens across the street to this CVS. I was totally satisfied with Walgreens. My worries come true after trying to get my first refill. After 3 days of waiting on CVS to notify me that my meds have been transfered and ready for pick up I decided to call them. No surprise when they told me they didn't have anything ready and basically it had never went any further after I went in person to give them my refill bottles and insurance info. After calling them back they sent me a text saying my meds were ready for pickup. When I went to pick them up they only had 1 out of 2 meds ready. They said they didn't have the second meds available for refill and I had to contact my doctor to have him write another prescription even though I had a bottle that still had 3 refills and an expiration date good for 6 months. My original review was about the front of the store only. Now it seems like its the entire store and with a rating of 1.5 one would think something would be done to change things but its pretty obvious that they may not care anymore. I'm contacting my insurance company today to weigh my options and demand a change other than this store.

Definitely use another pharmacy if you have the option.I found out several months into taking a new medication that they weren’t actually running my insurance and I was paying full price. I didn’t find out until they tried to charge me $500 when I switched meds. Since then, I’ve had nothing but issues every time it’s time to get a prescription refilled. I would get texts saying my meds are ready, only to get blank stares in the store because they clearly had no idea the medication was supposed to be refilled. So I started calling and checking the status first, and STILL I would get to the store and my medication would mysteriously not exist. Most recent instance involves them receiving a script renewal from my doctor exactly one week and a day ago and running it through insurance, yet for some reason they can’t refill my medication— and you guessed it, I was told it was in the store when I called. I’m never getting medication filled at this store ever again since, at this rate, I’m bound to have a seizure or something from not being able to get my medications on time ever. I don’t know what kind of sketchy business they’ve got going on, but go literally anywhere else but here.

I was on hold for 15 mins and then again for 27 minutes. The next week I was on hold for over 30 minutes. Finally, I drove to the pharmacy. Louisa CVS, you are under-staffed and my suggestion is to recruit. This isnt fair to your current pharmacy staff or customers. When Bailey's closed and you inherited many of their customers, more thought and preparation should have happened. When you have callers on hold for this long, maybe answer and let them know you will call back. Hire extra staff to just manage the phones. Some of your staff seem very overworked because some don't even smile and use basic customer service skills. You are a fairly large corporation/ business and your lack of apparent response to the volume of customers you have can be interpreted as you don't care. Please respect your customers and hard working staff by bringing in other CVS pharmacy staff from other locations to assist. This will show that you care about customers and not just dollars. You can do better! The only reason I stay is because of insurance.

This pharmacy provides the worst service I've ever received from any modern establishment. Not saying this with malice, or anger towards the employees, I genuinely believe this establishment is in dire need of some type of support from within CVS's corporation in order to function as a pharmacy. I moved to a home nearby and transfered our prescriptions here for the last 5 months.Picking up a single prescription typically takes 2-3 separate visits. Today I called at 12:00PM to ensure my prescription would be ready. I was told it would be ready by 3:00PM. I arrived at 6:00PM only to be told it wasn't ready and that they were "a little behind". I've attempted 10 pickups total in the last 5 months-- this has happened every single time.I write this review in hopes that people choose another pharmacy for their health and wellbeing. And I hope that CVS may see this and institute change so that their store in Louisa may be able to offer the basic services of a pharmacy.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with a pharmacy. Over 72 hours and they still have not filled my prescription. They give nothing but excuses and are extremely rude and unprofessional. If I could give 0 stars I would. Save yourself the hassle and aggravation by going anywhere but here!

This is the worst place. I had a covid vaccine schedule two weeks in advance 5 minutes before I’m ready to leave I get a text saying it’s canceled. I called the store only basically to be called a liar by one young lady then the pharmacist gets on the phone and informs me that all the appointments were taken by walk ins so they are out of the vaccine. So what was the point on me making and appointment, she told me to come in very rudely. So if you are out of vaccine why tell me to come in? She was so rude while I was there and didn’t want to give me the vaccine after looking at my card from my first vaccine because she said it hasn’t been long enough ( almost a month to the day from the first) I informed her this is the date CVS gave me to come back In. She was horrible. I won’t be coming back to this store

I really wish I could put a zero. The pharmacy in this store is completely incompetent anymore. They don't fill prescriptions when they are supposed to , lose prescriptions after notifying you they are ready, and then treat you extremely disrespectful when you show up. You are told rudely that once again your prescriptions aren't ready but they'll have them in half hour. When you show back up half hour later they're still never ready and you again have to deal with their rude employees telling you to come back again later. Also, if they don't have a prescription they don't bother calling to tell you so you can take it somewhere else, they just inform you when you are there to pick it up. This happened with an important prescription for my 5yr old grandson. Our family is done with them and now we are going to Walgreens!

Honestly after my situation was taken care of theyve been ok. But the first 4 times I went to pick up my prescription I was billed. Ive given them my insurance information 3 times before that. My insurance pays for my medication in full. But nobody entered my info into the system so I've been having to pay. Finally.got them to fix it and now I don't have to pay anything. Also their auto refill is very finicky. Last month mine was ready on time and this month I have now run out of medication and I have to wait until noon today to get it, putting me off my medication schedule.

HORRIBLE pharmacy! Tired of fighting with these people over prescriptions. They have made it so my wife goes days without meds because of various excuses.NOW today, Dr calls in script for my child, we call, will not answers the phones. Show up, haven't filled yet, and I quote "we'll have it ready in 2 days."THIS PLACE IS RIDICULOUS

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever dealt with. Drive-thru permanently closed (during a pandemic). Always a line of 9 people at the pharmacy. Worker told me there's a hiring freeze and no overtime. I called and spoke with the manager who didn't even say sorry. I left without my prescription and I'll never set foot in that place again.

Called in a prescription at 330pm was told it wouldn’t be ready until 6 get there at 7 stay in line for 30 minutes to be told it wasn’t ready it’ll be ready sometime after ten or eleven am so why tell me after 6 oh our computers shutdown earlier. Ok welp no one shoulda been able to receive medication then. They need to shut this location down until they hire a whole new staff it’s pointless and inconvenient

Today, a tech by the name of Olivia at our local CVS pharmacy (in Louisa, Va) went out of her way to fill my 3-yo prescription. My daughter has suffered with poison ivy for 2 days now while we were waiting on new insurance cards- which never came. Olivia was kind and polite and pushed our filling process as well as called the company to get the numbers needed which eliminated our rx cost altogether (all on her own accord.) The world (especially pharmacies) need more people like Olivia!

I have been using this CVS for several years and never had any issues. They call my doctor for refills before my prescriptions expire. I appreciate the text communication feature so I know when to pick up.

Very poor. Was in line for 1 hour for 1 prescription that was ready. The line was backed up all the way around the building. This is seriously ridiculous. Everytime I go get my prescriptions for my blood pressure and heart medicine I have this to deal with. Yal need to come up with a better solution then what you are doing now. 🤔 makes me wonder is it just Louisa.
