I have had so many issues with this location, when there is additional information needed they will not call you and only use the automated service that is no help. The staff that work the desk are not professional and they do not show care of personnel trying to fill prescriptions. I will not use this location ever again and I will probably use CVS over Walgreens and will tell all my Soldiers to do the same if they need prescriptions from offpost.

This place is a mess! I’ve ordered pics here for years but have had nothing but problems lately. Ordered Christmas cards and they printed my addresses on the back of the envelope where the flap opens. Waited in store for an hour for them to be fixed only to be crooked. Ordered an ornament and received an email that it was ready for pick up and they cannot find the package in the store now. I also ordered photos that are supposed to be ready in an hour and they were not ready for pick up two hours later after arriving. I requested a refund for the order they cannot find and was told they don’t have the ability to do that and a manager would have to call me tomorrow. The store has also reeked of weed the last two times I’ve visited. I won’t be bringing my business here any longer.

The pharmacy here (or clinic) don’t honor their appointment. I mean if you dont serve in timely manner why to make online appointments?!We, people, plan, schedule, arrange, but it seems it is just “whatever” service. Wish, wish my insurance wouldn’t use them, and sure I’ll fill out all the surveys of my insurance…

I was given the wrong strength of my medicine. My medicine starts off by giving weekly increased dosages until the correct amount is reached. Walgreens called and said that my medicine was ready so I picked it up. At that time, I was told at that time that a second prescription of the medicine out of stock and had to be order. So I went home and began taking my medicine.A week later I get the call to pick up the second prescription. I though that the timing was good because I thought is was time to increase the dosage. Not was not sure why I had three weeks left on the first bottle but was sure it would be used later. Because my wife and I both had the flu, the prescription was not picked up until four days later.When my wife got home, I opened the package and saw that the second prescription was blister packs of the stair stepped increased strength dosages, it was 15 times more expensive than the original prescription, and I now could not use it because I had been taking the full strength medicine for eleven days. Not even sure what the possible side-effects of starting at full strength could be.I could have waited until the out of-stock prescription was at the pharmacy or gone to another location to get it but was not given those options. I did not remember the instructions because they were on the prescription and were supposed to be printed on the package.I will probably file a complaint and try to get my $120 out of-pocket money back.

I would not recommend this location to anyone needing to transfer a prescription from another Walgreens. We called a few days ago to have my grandmother’s prescription transferred to which I was told it would be done by Saturday. Well, when I arrived in the drive thru on Sunday, they did not have any prescription in their system for her. Not only that, but the technician in the drive thru did not verify my grandmother’s identity with her ID until I insisted, mostly because she was having trouble spelling her last name. She said that no one has called my grandma’s normal pharmacy and when we mentioned that we called earlier in the week, she implied that it wasn’t her problem. She said they would call to transfer and to come back in 30 minutes, but to call them first.We called a few hours later and were told that the pharmacy that my grandma usually goes to is closed. Well, after calling the normal pharmacy myself, speaking with a tech who confirmed that the prescription could be transferred and that NO ONE had called to do so, we felt like the Lorton location lied. I called back to inform them on what the normal pharmacy said, and again I was met with an “I don’t know what to tell you, I didn’t make the call” response.As someone who works in customer service, this is completely unacceptable, especially when it comes to MEDICATION that someone needs to be healthy. I have zero confidence in this location.

COVID and flu shot appts are first come first serve here fyi. They just took someone who had an appt time 30 mins after mine when she arrived super early about one minute ahead of me. You can’t make your original appt just come super early and cut the line.

There is ONE employee who may be the manager who is so upbeat and customer service oriented she is amazing. And she makes sure there is never a wait and makes things happen. There is ONE pharmacy tech or pharmacist who knows what they're doing. I have dual insurance. A commercial and tricare. It is ALWAYS a problem getting my medication. I've been overcharged numerous times, I have to ask AT LEAST three times if my medication has been sent through both insurances and often I'm dismissed and told they are when, based off the price I know they aren't. And then if I ask them to check again, no, they havent ran them through both and they have ZERO IDEA HOW TO DO.IT.Medication is expensive and I'm lucky to have duel insurance so, it's a little disconcerting that the employees in general dont want to ensure their customers aren't being over charged. PLEASE, teach the front staff what a sense of urgency is and PLEASE train the pharmacy staff how to properly run medication through multiple insurances. This area is highly populated with military members and veterans this should be common place.

this review is mainly for the pharmacy because I booked for a covid test(rapid) just to informed upon my arrival that they don’t have on stock & offered me alternative(PCR) whatever it’s called but I would have to make another appointment.First off why have appointments available in the first placesecondly why not give me courtesy call prior to my appointment to make arrangements to go somewhere elseterrible customer service & surely will not be returning.

Worst customer service ever!!!! Stay away from this location. Staff is rude, irresponsible and think the doing favor to customers to be there. Especially pharmacy staff. I dropped my prescriptions at 6pm, and was told it will be ready in two hours and will notify you through text, Neither they sent me text if it’s ready nor they give me when I get there before 9 and the pharmacist said we closed early. That’s so unprofessional holding someone prescriptions hostage.I just went through a major dental procedure and pain is unbearable. Now I have to wait for whole night till next 9am. I ll never recommend this place to any of family members or friends. I never had a problem with CVS or Harris teeter.They need to change the staff in Pharmacy for sure, bring someone who cares about patients or Customers.

When I came here for Covid testing, they sent the wrong details to the lab and so, I had to visit the pharmacy again for retest. On my second visit, the pharmacist asked me to remove the mask while I was talking even though I had severe Covid symptoms. She forced me to bring the contaminated pickup bin inside my car and threatened to not collect my sample if I don't follow her rules. The manager had to step in and she finally had to relent to my concerns. After the manager stepped away, she walked off without giving me instructions. I had to redo the entire test when she returned.In short, these guys don't really care about you - no matter how sick you are. Be prepared to be on the receiving end of poor customer service.

My wife and I both tested positive for Covid yesterday. It was confirmed by our doctor who electronically sent Walgreens a prescription for Paxlovid. They filled it quickly. However I got extremely sick and needed another prescription medication. My doctor said she'd submit it ASAP. My wife called the pharmacist at 3pm and was told they hadn't received it yet and they would call us when they get it. At 7pm my wife called again and another pharmacist repeated the 1st message. My wife then called the doctor to see if they had sent it and we were given the date and time that Walgreens received it and their response that it was received. By then Walgreens was closed so we called the next morning. Another pharmacist checked my records in the computer and she said a note was there at 2:30pm yesterday that the prescription needed prior authorization. I took the phone and asked why my doctor or I weren't told about it yesterday. She said this issue happens at EVERY Walgreens several times a day and that all the pharmacists do report it to their professional services department manager, but are told that they are aware of the problem and are working on it. She expressed her disappointment and suggested that I should call their headquarters. I did. The very nice lady apologized and said that she was aware of the situation and for several months their IT department had been working to fix it. I then asked what if this had been a life or death situation and the delay had occurred were they aware that Walgreens would be held legally liable for any consequences of their ineffective system. She said yes but there nothing else she could do except send another report. This is unacceptable for one of the largest American healthcare related corporations and someone should proceed with legal action. I will never use a Walgreens pharmacy again. Oh, she also asked me if I would speak with someone at corporate office and I gave her my contact information. No one has called, texted, sent an email or left a voice mail message yet!

Jun, who works in the pharmacy is the ONLY reason I am giving this place 4 stars. The pharmacy could do better with customer service, BUT Jun was the exception!!!! She stepped in and helped me after I was turned away by another staff. Jun was very courteous and professional. She is who I will go to next time I visit this pharmacy.

They never have anything I need, and are always slow. Staff are friendly. I’m changing my review to 1 star. I went to a different pharmacy today and they let me know that the doctor unfortunately sent it to the one at Richmond Hwy. After driving 20 minutes to get there, I waited 20 more minutes in line. When I got up to the window it still wasn’t ready (keep in mind the prescription was sent over 1.5 hours prior). This is not the first or even the second time I have had difficulty with this place. I have been a pharmacy tech in two different pharmacies. I know how pharmacies work. There is no excuse for how this place is run. I know people leave reviews most often when they’re upset, and I actually have never reviewed a business. Today that changes. I will never have another prescription sent here, even if there is the added convenience of a drive thru.

I came here after being treated terribly at another Walgreen in Woodbridge.Well guess what,Elizabeth was great, there is nothing she can help me more than she already did.She informed me that they are backed up and I should wait 15-20 minutes, I understood that.When I came back, she told me that she have to wait for the pharmacist to get my meds approved.The pharmacist spent much more time than she should on my order, like approximately another 10 minutes. Honestly I could walk home have dinner and dessert and walk back and my meds wouldn't even ready. I only need two over-the-counter, plus two extremely common medications and it took them more than 35 minutes?This was on 09/23/2021 at roughly 8-8:40pm.

Absolutely horrible service in the pharmacy. I can’t call without sitting on hold for nearly an hour to see if my son’s prescription is ready (just typing in your phone number to get a status never works). They put you on hold and when it times out they just put you back on hold without saying a word.The drive-through is so slow and nearly incompetent. These people are either not trained or not supervised. They are so slow at every turn (phones, window, inside the pharmacy) that it appears to be a true effort to move that slowly.

After being given multiple attempts to redeem themselves, the pharmacy over several years has turned out to be worst pharmacy I have ever been too for so many reasons. I’m not wasting anymore of my time with this place after calling and them to say my prescriptions will be ready in 15 min so go there and after waiting in line for an hr and 15 min to just be told they were not able to fill my prescription for me.

The Walgreens is ok, but the pharmacy is the most slow and inaccurate pharmacy I have ever been. I wait 1 hour and 37 minutes for a antibiotic for my baby. It was terrible, four employees inside the pharmacy area and only one taking orders and pickup area, even there was long line. They make me do the line 3 times. It was a very terrible experience.

I am writing this review about the pharmacy part of Walgreens. I had my doctor call in a prescription yesterday and there has been 24 hours since the call-in happened. I just went into the store and they said the medication was not available. I am upset because I never got a phone call notifying this fact. The pharmacy staff said the only solution is for them to order the medication which won't arrive until after the weekend which is 3 days from now. There is no Walgreens nearby who carries such simple medication that is widely prescribed like mine. So I have to wait for three days without medication. I only went to Walgreens because I moved to a new area and this place is across the street. I never had this kind of problem at any CVS locations. I am being generous and giving this place two stars only because the store is very clean and the parking lot is big.

9:00 AM, i Went to pick up a prescription. No line, i was the line. I waited for over 5 minutes at the pharmacy counter to be recognized then approached the register, saw the pharmacist and 3 employees who continued to ignore me. I asked for help and one of them said someone is coming to help you. I still stood there staring at the 4 people. After 5 minutes i said "cancel my prescription I'll go to CVS." As i walked away the pharmacist called me back and apologized. He got my prescription, i paid for it and told him that I was going to call the Walgreen's 800 number to place a complaint. Not the 1st time this has happened

Worst pharmacy I’ve ever been to. Horrible “bedside” manner from technicians behind the counter and generally very disorganized workflow. The drive thru option is convenient but not if the pharmacy is working through a backlog of scripts. I recommend you call and confirm if your Rx is ready or just find a new pharmacy. I would give this place no stars if that was an option and you can be sure I will tell the nearby ER not to push this pharmacy.

I stopped in to buy a facial cream for my wife, but this store didn't have it. I then decided to buy the Washington Post and a Diet Coke. I knew I would be paying more for the Diet Coke there than elsewhere. What I didn't expect was to pay $4 instead of the listed $3 for the Post. When I questioned the charge, I was told that was what Walgreens charges for the Post. I got back the $6.89 that I paid, went across the street to Food Lion and paid $5.22 for the Post and Diet Coke.

This pharmacy isn’t just guilty of horrible customer service, it’s so poorly organized and staffed the mistakes they make are a threat to health. Twice I was given the wrong prescription and now I’ve been out of my medicine for 3 weeks because they filed a refill claim with insurance when I’d not picked up the medicine. Now I’m stuck waiting another 2weeks before they’ll cover the cost. Taking my family’s prescriptions to another pharmacy miles away.

Lonnnnng waits at the pharmacy line, went to pick up prescription told me they did not have my insurance on file, only to find it “uploaded” on another site; and then told me to sit for another 20 min becuase the prescription wasn’t filled yet. Wait in line for 40 mins to be told to wait again 20 more min isn’t cool. This wasn’t a same day prescription, ample time to fill it. only one cleark works the registers and she disappeares after every other customer for 10 mins or so.
