The produce selection is poor and half the time I go they don’t have basic produce like peppers, or it’s past its prime - the potatoes all have eyes, onions are brown inside. At least three times I’ve come home and the meat I bought smells terrible and not safe to eat.

Most items were in stocks and easy to find. Only two registers open and one had flashing light on waiting for a manager making checkout inconvenient unless you used self checkout. I had to go to a register to have formula retrieved from locked cabinet so could not use self checkout.

Good variety of products, pastries and prepared dishes.It wasn't too crowded and the merchandise was well organized. Checkout staff are helpful. In general, the prices were a bit high.I recommend having the Giant card (digital) on the phone to access the discounts of the day.

Very unprofessional employees. Too much playing and not enough working. At times, any employee will make loud boisterous remarks or noises upon entering the store. Not sure where Giant is hiring these people from but they need to replace them with quality, hard-working, professional, and friendly people.

This store is...quite an experience. I'm not sure why one of the main doors is locked or why it feels a touch dystopian inside (probably the lack of product) but this is firmly on my "emergency needs only" list.

Come on! Moldy cheese?! Right on the shelf?Reference 20 June 2021 / 4:55pm25 September 2021 / 4:05pmThis Giant is generally staffed by pleasant and helpful team members who'd bend over backwards to assist customers. Once in a while though, you will find the occasional slob who is lazy, maladjusted, and unhelpful. Like a certain young man who appeared to have been completely stressed out by a line of only two customers at his check-out station (one with 15 items, the other with just 2 items) and was telling a third customer to go to a different counter. You know who I am talking about. The question for management is how they can put a person in front of paying customers who is, obviously, so inept, so poorly representing the brand name.All that being said, Ms. Gillian who was working the Customer Service station today was most delightful, and eager to help. She gained this Giant an additional star today.

Extremely rude black woman in the seafood/meat department at Giant. Woman should get an attitude check and put labels on the openers if they don’t want people opening them. Maybe don’t have them open from the outside so people know. Definitely needs a new job. Also, don’t sell moldy cheese. This store is notorious for selling moldy food! Disgusting!

If you use the Giant digital coupons and store coupons, you really need to check your receipt before you leave the store. This last trip more than half of the coupons that I clipped did not come off the receipt. I clipped them more than 2 hours before going to the store. This seems to happen almost every other trip at this location. Then I have to wait at customer service while my ice cream melts while we go over the receipt to find all the overcharges. Very annoying

Been back today as giant was only store open on Christmas. I give giant a plus for being open a few hours unlike other stores. Though products are still overpriced at the sale prices imo. I did look thru the coffee section and found no coffee with roast on dates. Definitely dont want coffee with best buy dates as its most likely stale. Whole foods does carry some coffee with roast on dates and 4 weeks from roast on date is maximum unless you want overpriced stale coffee. Best buy dates are guarantee of stale coffee. Interesting that giant had red rooster beans with best buy dates and whole foods has roast on dates. That was requested specifically by the grocery store. Avoid best buy dates in coffee. Look for roast on dates less than 4 weeks from roast. I didn't have enough time to update a full review edit but will. The conventional vegetables i bought were fresh this time. Ill have to update my review after i have time to see if grass fed and pasture raised eggs were added. In past Few organic produce selections and quality is poor compared to whole foods fresh vegetables and fruits. Prices are high for conventional vegetables. Whole foods organics are similar in price. There are no pasture raised eggs. The cage free eggs are a marketing gimic and far overpriced as you get nothing. Few if any grass fed meat products can be found. Dairy has a few grass fed milk though. Other dairy and cheese do not have grass fed options. 98% of yogurt is loaded with sugars. Most of cheeses are low quality highly processed. No grassfed cheese that i saw. Lots of junk food aisles. Lots of sodas and sugar laden cereal aisles. Most nuts are loaded with sugars. Few nut options for the health conscious. In my opinion most items in the store are way overpriced for quality and fact the sugars are in many items. Baked goods section for years has way overpriced low quality baked goods. Try whole foods baked goods for your own opinion. Quality of baked goods at whole foods is far superior and so is taste.

Greg at the deli counter was truly a gem! Helpful & friendly. Asked questions & made sure he provided the products to my specifications. He was knowledgeable and separated my extremely thin cheese slices appropriately to keep them from sticking together. A true expert & professional!

Last Thursday (5/11/23) went to buy “Organic Coconut Water” in Lorton Giant on Rte 123. Out of 8 bottles 3 had expired in April of 2022 and 4 in March of 2023. Only one bottle was good, with the expiration date of May 2023. So 7 out of 8 had already expired. Can’t believe that Giant type of store will keep expired merchandise on the shelf for more than a year and no one will notice. So sad.

Fairly often the organic produce are moldy or rotting, and at least once a month I find fridged and shelf items that already expired (more often organics but also conventional stuff). Staff has been great about returns at times I missed checking dates before I checked out. Staff is friendly throughout the store and there is a good variety of things to try.

Dont know what's changed. They used to be open at midnight. Now they close at 11 or 10. Really sad, they have security there now and i must look suspicious because if Im in a hurry and Im in my pajamas I get followed. One time and yes I counted just to see 6 times I was followed to an isle in ONE shopping trip lol and there was ALOT of people in there, he could've been anywhere but in every lane I went in he managed to pop up lol I had to call my boyfriend so that I didn't feel so freaked out. After being assulted I'm already on edge, I just want to shop in peace, no matter what Im wearing. Plus, I've lived here for 7 years and never delt with this. But if I'm dressed up from work I dont see security once and know he's there because he's usually standing in the front when you first walk in. Dropping 100 to 300 each trip (weekly) isn't enough? 😮‍💨🧐🤔

Wow! This store! I liked my giant in Alexandria, they hired great people, but this Ox Rd store just goes above and beyond! The staff is great! Very personable and friendly! Thank you for being kind and quick to help look for and find the product I needed!

They don't honor promotions that are on the signs. And then when you mention it to them, they wanna argue. They have one employee named will who is particularly ready to start fighting people.After having my intelligence insulted, I just left everything with the cashier and walked away.

I love their healthy food section (vegan, non-gmo, organic, etc.) Sometimes when I go things don't ring up the right price and then it prolongs my grocery runs. I usually buy "less common" products, that probably get overlooked a lot. It is definitely my go to grocery store in Lorton, but they need to do a little better on keeping advertised prices and sales updated.

Im a regular at this store. Today I was checked out by Corben. First thing, the never greeted me in the beginning of the transaction or the end. Second, I separated all my items cold and non cold, this guy takes it upon himself to bag non cold and cold together and he literally just threw my items in the bag. I had cereal with cheese, yogurt with bread, he was very sloppy with it and had this “I don’t care attitude”. Lastly, he balls up my receipt and hands it too me. I’ve had this cashier before, but I’ve never experienced this type of treatment from him or any of the others until today. I will be reaching out to the district manager, maybe he can explain to me what the guys problem is.

Outstanding customer service. We frequently buy our groceries here and the staff is always helpful. Recently, we got our gender reveal cake from here and the customer service at the bakery was superb and went above and beyond our expectations to assist us. Also, the cake was delicious!

I have been ordering curbside pickup for 9 months now from the Ox Road Giant. I have nothing but great things to say. The order is always perfect, the produce is always fresh and the staff makes the perfect substitutions. They also go out of their way if I make a request. Its not easy to shop for someone. Thank you to Adriana, Danielle, Shelly, Ed and the rest of the staff for doing such an amazing job! Because of the great service, convenience and time saved I will continue this service long-term.

This is IMO the best Giant in the area! The store is always clean, stocked and brightly lit! Definitely in my top 3 favorite grocery stores!They have a huge variety at this location and many times when I am looking for an item I can't find at the Food Lion I regularly shop at by my house, I find it here.The people are very friendly and helpful if you need it! I have had some issues w/ some of the digital coupons not working and they always make it right!Their produce is usually pretty fresh as they sell through it rather regularly.I have shopped at most of the Giants in NVA and this one is the best one I've been to!

Silvia the new clerk was so helpful and even up sold me on some snacks near the register. I think she was new however she was knowledgeable, efficient, courteous, and even knew where the spices were. Thank you for making my stop after work as easy as possible.

I visit Giant to get Boars Head meats from the deli, but love the store for other things too. They have decent sales, but food is still crazy expensive.

My wife and I were harassed by the manager today. We were dressed to walk in the snow since our cars were stuck because of the snow as well. After gathering our items, we went to the self checkout line. The manager saw us heading to the self checkout and immediately assumed we were thieves. He stood behind us and didn't take his eyes off of us. He's lucky we avoid confrontations, because someone else would have said something. The disrespect is unbelievable.

Very nice, clean, well stocked store. Especially in the Gluten Free section to which ,unfortunately, my wife has an intense allergic reaction as well as soy. Would not hesitate to reccomendto anybody. for their grocery needs !!

Was a very clean and well laid out store.Very easy to find things. Actually it's laid out exactly the way you would think a grocery store is laid out. The milk is in the far back corner and on the opposite side is the meat and seafood department and the produce. The vegetables and fruits were very fresh and very nicely laid out. I would recommend this place to anybody that lives in this area the prices are very aggressive and I have shopped at several Giants and this is by far the cleanest and nicest laid out that I've seen. There is plenty of parking and it seems like no matter where you park it's very close to the front door. Checking out was very easy there are several self-checkout registers and there were several open registers with actual cashiers so it made it very easy for paying and getting out of there quickly.
