What a delightful surprise to discover this unique coffee roaster with over 30 years experience. Have fun and try a flight of their coffee, and perhaps discover your favorite.Interestingly the nitro coffee was quite a surprise, and I took one for the road. Yes, they also have a drive-through on the opposite side, but do take your time and enjoy the full experience.The informative baristas are quite helpful, and try to relay coffee perfection to your palate.Some local bakery favorites are available as well, to enjoy with your fresh coffee. Chocolate croissant, 🥐 was quite large and delicious.

I was super excited to start an overnight hike with a coffee flight from Roadmap - a bucket list item (I came from an hour away). When I tried to order they informed me that they weren’t serving flights because their sink was broken and they were unable to clean the mugs. I saw some disposable espresso/short coffee cups so I asked if I could just do a few short coffees instead. I was told “no, because there would be no way to ring it in.” I settled for a cup of the Blue Ridge Mountain blend and a consolation pastry which was pretty tasty. I left dissappointed nonetheless.The interior is attractive - reminded me of a visitor center you’d see on a parkway. There was also a viewing window into the gigantic coffee brewery. The staff were pleasant enough but they were not very interactive. While I sat and drank my coffee a friendly gentleman came in to order and kept trying to make conversation about the antique espresso machine on display; but alas - the baristas only responded with smiles and one word answers. Sorry dude.Anyhoo, I might try again if I’m ever in the area.

Honestly beautiful place. Clean and in a decent location. Prices are crazy, but I can handle that for good quality. My tea was fine but this frozen then barely warmed chocolate croissant for almost $5 is laughable. The staff were also having a loud and slightly rude conversation with the other guest there. There were not rude to me just the conversation could be found offensive by some.

This is a very beautiful coffee shop. The pour over coffee was quite delicious that showed that barista was knowing the job. The place is very neat and they have some outdoor furniture for nice weathers. The stuff is really nice and after I ordered my coffee and maybe I was not very clear about my order there happened to be a mistake and I asked about it and they were so nice and helped me to get my order correctly. Don’t hesitate to stop here on your way and besides it is very near to the Virginia Safari Park as well.

We stopped in to pick up some espresso beans and a couple of coffees while passing through and we ended up purchasing a couple of flights, too. Whitney and Gray were so kind and wonderful to talk with—we learned a lot about the different varieties that are being offered. Also, the coffee is fantastic. All in all, a wonderful experience! We'll be back soon.

Super cute, quiet spot! Very clean and cozy, the staff was excellent. I ordered the gluten free toast and the barista refunded me for it because it was the end of the loaf and he didn’t feel comfortable charging for it. It was still delicious! The oat milk latte was amazing. The outside seating was perfect and overall made for a perfect stop on our road trip.

If you find yourself in the vicinity of Lexington, VA, make a little time for this super cute, upscale coffee shop! The location is a picturesque countryside, while the inside is a sleek urban feel. The bean flavor and smooth poured coffee were a real surprise. Put down the Starbucks and get yourself a drink here! Loved it! Get some merch and pastry while you’re at it!

So glad this spot was right off the highway. What a gem. I did a coffee tasting while my boyfriend had a latte. Would highly recommend the tasting, a great way to try different coffee and develop an appreciation for different tones and notes in what you’re drinking. The staff was also super friendly! If you’re in the are, I would highly recommend stopping by this spot.

I love this shop. I discovered Roadmap initially as simply a good break on my road trips north on I-81 to visit my parents in Virginia. What a great find! Without exaggeration Roadmap roasts some of the finest coffees I’ve ever had. For context, I worked out of Seattle for three years and Roadmap coffee stacks up favorably to the very best coffees I found in the Northwest. When traveling by Lexington I always stop in for a *perfect* cappuccino and to pick up some roasted coffee to take home. The service is always excellent; they are highly knowledgeable about fine coffee. I also routinely order their coffee online. My favorites are Espresso Gusto and Coconut Crunch; but honestly all their coffees I’ve had so far are outstanding. Highly recommend!!!

We found this gem while on the highway passing through the area. We saw the billboard and decided we had to stop, and it was worth the 3-mile detour!The barista behind the counter was helpful and kind. She warned us that Roadmap doesn’t specialize in fancy concoctions (you won’t find any pumpkin spice or whipped cream here). She said they seek to highlight the quality of their in-house roasted coffee. My husband got a Kenyan light roast drip, and I got the nitro cold brew (slightly sweet, so smooth and delicious). The quality was amazing.I’d like to come back when I have the time to kick back in one of the Adirondack chairs or picnic tables they have scattered around the lawn.

Bougie, pinky's out, delicious. I'm an amateur coffee snob and always on the lookout for a great single origin pour over in my travels. This place has it. They roast their own beans, and they do a damn fine job. (We left with a bag.) The tasting notes are accurate.Also, they serve phenomenal baked goods. They do not make them, but their source is top notch. I trust their coffee and their judgement. You should too. Stop in get a cup!

Coffee was perfect! Not too sweet and well mixed. My latte highlighted the coffee while keeping the flavors secondary; the mark of experts.My husband got the Guatemalan drip which he raved about. One thing they do well with drip is the temp, which is almost always too hot. This was perfect!We each got a maple croissant, which was light and scrumptious. Only teeny tiny detail, would love to have the maple frosting drizzled throughout instead of half dipped, but that's personal preference.Everything paired together very nicely and this was a great complement to our road trip!Parking: Parking very close and satisfactory availability.

What a gem! We stopped for a quick cup of coffee to find a fabulous roastery...that happens to prepare their beans for a perfect little cup of heaven! The gravel drive and step at the front door might be a problem for those with mobility issues, but if you can make it, make it a must stop place!From the cute boards outside, socially distanced picnic tables, limited entry (only 2 people at a time unfortunately), wonderful smells from the fresh roasted beans, and even bringing out a bowl of water for our pup! They are very welcoming and I can't wait to swing by again!I had a regular latte that was the star and hubby had a cold brew that was delicious but not air cold enough because they didn't have ice. Even without ice the coffee flavor was amazing and we will definitely be stopping again!

This was a wonderful stop on our trip from NY to TN! Top-notch coffee roastery and shop. I got a delightful Cappuccino and Latte which were free of any bitterness or sourness. The barista suggested my girlfriend get a London Fog tea which she liked very much!We stopped on the way to Tennessee and then on the way back to New York. On the trip back we also got a toasted bagel and croissant.

Coffee at the Roadmap CoffeeWorks was a great break in our road trip through Virginia. The hand-brewed coffee was wonderful, and the service was very friendly. Our cranberry-nut bread went great with the coffee. The CoffeeWorks will be a very nice break in our future road trips.

Bright & fresh coffee roaster to grab a cup or beans. You won't want to miss this turn off Lee Hwy. Staff are knowledgeable about their roasts and brews. There are a variety of tools for sale if you'd like to make coffee at home like the experts here at Roadmap.

Amazing, Convenient and delicious!My kiddos were sleeping so I needed somewhere I could just go through a drive thru and in Lexington that’s hard to find. But, to also have amazing coffee, the best. Will definitely be back!Here’s the current drive thru menu for anyone wondering before they go :) I got the iced vanilla latte. 10/10 recommend
