Such a great place to buy your next kayak. They have a great selection of the best brands to enjoy the rivers and lakes in western Virginia. Bryan and Christina are very knowledgeable, and have a lot of paddling experience. They are an absolute pleasure to work with! Highly recommended.

The new location/store is incredible! We went in looking for a kayak that would have room to take my dog along on rides. We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of kayaks they had IN STOCK! They had so many brands/models and colors to choose from right on the showroom floor- and yet- they were still able to pull my perfect fit from a back room somehow! I walked out with a new Crescent CK1 that I am totally in love with. The owners Brian and Christine were very knowledgeable about all the brands and really took the time to help me determine which one would work best for my needs. The store was stocked with everything you’d need for a day on the water. I could have left there and went straight to the lake for a fishing float! Highly recommend this place

I was in the store today for the first time, inquiring about paddles. She was very knowledgeable and informative and there was absolutely no pressure to purchase. I really appreciate this! I also inquired about some kayak rod holder displayed on the wall and once again, she was very knowledgeable and there was no pressure. I ended up purchasing a few items on the condition if they did not work, I could return them and there was no problem with that at all. We were unsure if the two sizes of screws provided would work for our inflatable so she sent me home with 4 more that she knew would work, if those didn't, at no charge. Is that good customer service, or what?!? I recommend this store highly and will be shopping there again soon.

I drove from Northern Virginia to pick up a crescent lite tackle. The bike/watersport shops closer to me did not have any in stock and had to be ordered. They weren't allowed to give estimated delivery times.Journey Outdoors was the only place within a 3 hour drive that actually carried them in stock. They also had a BUNCH of bonafide kayaks in stock.They have all the usual yak attack gear, fishing gear etc. I also picked up a Ctug there. I didn't feel like waiting for shipping from online stores and the price was on par with cabelas (a couple bucks cheaper).Bryan helped me load up the kayak into my truck and showed me how to tie it down (im a complete newbie I have been using inflatables up until this point).If I ever upgrade from my crescent to a bonafide this is the place I will be going to.
