Great and very friendly staff which always makes shopping more enjoyable. Clean, orderly and attractive produce section with items in good condition and very fresh, excellent meat. They provide a good variety of frozen products. Aisles are spacious and orderly without stock all over the floors. And best of all, the cashier's are super, and no self check out!!

Just came from Food Lion that was VERY BUSY! All hands were on deck - asked about celery the lady was on it. She saw me in the back of the store and remembered me giving me my celery. I was coming back up giving her plenty of time. She was on it. In every aisle people stocking but out of the way. Meat department had my fresh turkey and answered all my questions. Check out walked right up to a register with a REAL PERSON greeting me and smoothly checking me out. Busy-shelves full - staff at the ready with a smile. Great job Food Lion hope management realizes the gift they have with such fine employees. Great job Management!!!

Great place to shop at to purchase your groceries. They have items on mangers specials for a great price but still good to eat. They have great sales on all sort of items. Fully stocked with no empty shelves. Friendly service

After dealing with multiple rude cashiers this month, my mother called corporate to report it. We have already talked to corporate and were told we could call the actual store too. Upon calling no one wanted to deal with the situation (we went from general person to Isabelle then another) and kept passing the buck. I watched my mother struggle to get her words out, tired. She needs to take her eye medicine and hadn't yet because she had to make these pjone calls. When she was finally able to speak to the manager today HER NAME IS TRACY (November 8, 2022) the manager TRACY yelled at my elderly mother and accused her of verbal assault when it was the manager TRACY who was assaulting her just because my mother wasn't able to talk fast enough. TRACY would not give her a moment to speak and kept on yelling at her and talking down to her condescendingly. When she TRACY told my mother that my elderly mother was verbally assaulting HER I made sure to give her a piece of MY mind and we will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN. This store is absolute trash because of rudeness, snobbishness and horrible management. DO NOT GIVE LEXINGTON FOOD LION YOUR BUSINESS THEY TREAT OLD PEOPLE AND CARETAKERS LIKE GARBAGE. Completely unacceptable!!! Abusing anyone like this should put that woman TRACY in jail!!! Needless to say I have just called Corporate AGAIN and the District Manager will be calling us about all of this! TRACY you don't deserve to have a job!!

I have spent 14 years in big and small box food retail. This food lion is okay. I think they have some work to do with their produce shipments and they don't get freight trucks often enough to truly keep up with their demand even outside of supply chain problems. Their home office would do well to evaluate how often freight is shipped and product quality at the warehouse level.

This store was recently remodeled. The freezers are awesome, including the ones for salads that are all enclosed. The aisles are wide, the lighting is good, and it is well stocked. I much prefer this grocery store to the local Kroger (horrible slanted parking lot make unloading your cart difficult and the prices are exorbitant) or Walmart (always crowded).

Really tired of shopping here and spending a lot of money weekly to be disrespected and given abrasive attitude from a male cashier that lets you know he can care less. I’ve come here for over twelve years and the last few I feel like the staff has gotten horrible. Unfriendly and rude or just flat out don’t want to be here. I despise Kroger but at least they have self check out. Also everyone has their own opinion on masking up or no. I mask and when I go into a store that states that masks are required then I expect them to enforce it. Half of customers I see there constantly don’t wear the mask as well as some employees. And no one says a word much less reproaches anyone. Another reason I am taking my shopping elsewhere. This used to be a grocery store that I was very happy to recommend but no longer.

As the Lexington Kroger continues to drive itself down, Food Lion has stepped up. Shelves are well stocked and variety is great. Many specialty items Kroger no longer stocks can be found here. The aisles are wide and uncluttered. Staff is knowledgeable and polite. If the butcher section was better, I'd give Food Lion a 10.

I will admit that I do not shop here often, mostly because it is not conveniently located for us. But when I cannot find what I need at the other stores, this store has always came through for me, just as it did today. If there were more hours in a day, I would shop here all of the time. Great store, very friendly and helpful employees, great assortment of groceries. It is worth the trip.

On my last visit one of the employees walked right up behind me as I was checking out.( approximately 2 feet from me) When I pointed out to her the sign on counter asking customers to practice social distancing by staying 6 ft apart... she promptly turned the sign away and stated " I don't pay no attention to that stuff and the stepped up even closer, almost touching me. They had 2 cashiers at 4:00 in the afternoon and people backed up down through the aisles..I had 1 small package of hamburger and waited quite a while..probably wont go back

It's not my regular grocery store choice for a reason. I just don't care for Food Lion stores in general, and this particular store in particular. I won't go into finer detail, except to say it doesn't look or smell clean, nor are the shelves stocked properly.

Always enjoy food lion shopping with very friendly staff, ie, Karen, Bobbie. I like the9 smaller size store, compared to say Walmart. Choices, quality of products, affordability reasons for shopping at FL. As soon as I master the new configuration at the Lexington, Va food lion, shopping will be easier. New layout looks good

All the cashiers are so nice. Great prices without the sweatshop feel that you get at Walmart. Now all we need is a grocery pickup here!!!
