I love this place and I love this vet! Truly a treasure to have such a place to go to in such a small town in the middle of nowhere. LOL Her clinicians are top notch as well. Our dog loved her visit, and they even graded her temperament, which I have never had a vet do in all my years of owning a dog. I am incredibly pleased to have found this clinic and I recommend it to anyone.

Was visiting Lexington when my goldendoodle did something to the pad in his right front paw. It was a Friday afternoon when he started limping badly. I called the Animal Clinic of Rockbridge right after they opened on Saturday morning. I talked to a very nice person and she encouraged me to come over and they would get our Davy Dog in that morning. We got Davy over and he got in to see the Vet and he was bandaged up and discharged in less that an hour. Great people great service. Thanks so much

I recently transferred my dog here after being unhappy with his previous vet. The doctor genuinely cares, and the whole team is just as friendly as can be. I will definitely be coming here from now on. I had an appointment scheduled with them at a later time for a check up, but was concerned about my dog, Geo, getting worse through the night as he had a problem with his ears, and they squeezed me in- same day, and took great care of him, was up front, honest, and thorough! HIGHLY recommend them for all your fur-baby needs!

I had a very good experience with Animal Clinic of Rockbridge! My little man had some difficulties, and the staff were great about keeping calm and talking me through our best possible treatments. They were very respectful and good to interact with. We will be coming back!EDIT - Mango and I just went back for our boosters and the staff were very good once again about dealing with Mango's anxiety and making the trip as easy for him as it could have been! Very grateful for the staff's services in making us feel welcome and cared for.

We had a 9 yo cat with lung cancer. Dr. Schenley and her team welcomed us to their practice and provided extraordinary services. The team members in this organization are caring, knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. We required sophisticated treatment for our cat's end of life care and they worked with us for six months with our many questions and concerns.We strongly recommend this practice for diagnostics, treatments, boarding and most of all professional, compassionate care.

They worked very well with my blue heeler and they helped me out with doing curbside since it was rainy and cold and I didn’t have to take my seven month old daughter out of the car! Such a life safer. If you know... ya know! 🙌🏻 Excellent and friendly staff. 10/10 recommend.

These folks worked us into a busy workday when our Lab became unexpectedly very Sick while we were driving down I-81. The professional and friendly staff stepped in to help. They made my day and week. My Lab, Riggo, is back in trim and back on his feed. The Clinic showed the kind of agility and empathy we hope to find but seldom do. They saved a vacation-thanks.

So this was my first experience at this veterinarian. Overall I was very impressed. The vet techs gave my cat time to get used to the surroundings. The veterinarian was professional and comforting to our cat while doing the examination all the while giving me the pertinent information about the wellness check. My only complaint is that the entire examination took all of 5 minutes and I was in the office waiting before and after combined for the better part of 45 minutes.

I am a law student here with a German Shepherd and I needed a place to take her if anything went wrong or if she just needed a checkup. I have only ever had great experiences with the staff there and they are incredibly fast with responding to any needs (like needing Scout's shot records emailed to me, etc.) They even fit her in to get a tick removed within the hour! Great people who love animals, for sure. I highly recommend!

I brought in my Great Pyr mix to their office as he had gone completely lame. We suspected Lymes. We called around EVERYWHERE, and this is the only place that would give us a quote over the phone and that could get my boy in before August, they were actually able to get him in the very next day! They were very good to him and to us and we're able to get a diagnosis, medication and preventative care all in one stop. And they didn't even mind that I had my family with us. The office is nice, the rooms were very informative of different worms and diseases animals can get. They were very loving and caring and non judgemental. I appreciate their care for Coda and will def go back for my animal needs.

I took my newly adopted cat in for a wellness check up the other day. The clinic is taking appropriate steps in light of COVID 19, having owners wait in their car while their pet is being seen. I was nervous about not being able to go back with her but the staff was super friendly and I think my cat was happier post visit than she was when I brought her in! Their love for animals shows and it makes trusting them with your fur babies that much easier.

We had to send one of our kitties over the rainbow bridge soon after moving to the area. She became very sick and despite Covid and being unable to go with her initially the vet was so kind and the whole clinic was very sympathetic and helpful. They also made an exception for one of us to stay with her while she went to sleep for the last time. They look after our other cats too and are very reasonable and great. The cats aren’t terrified of going which is a great sign. We’re happy we find an awesome vet although it was through awful circumstances

Price for a spray on a rescue from local spca was outrageous - even on a dog in estrus (the dog was not fat at all, and it was young).Also, no perioperative antibiotic given - and the patient got a post op infection. Not very impressed.

I normally board my baby at a farm where they take great care of and love my girl. But unfortunately they were booked up. So I called here. They told me 29.00 a day which I thought was cool cause it was little cheaper then where I normally go.....well when I get there I was told she needed an influenza shot and I asked if they would trim her nails. I gave them Her shot records and her wellness report, which was done by her vet 5 or6 months back. When I arrived to pick her up after her three day stay, I was told I owed 190.00 I asked why it was so high, and was told she needed a 2year wellness exam. I said she just had one not long ago and the lady said," well it has to be with in the year....I said it was like 5 months ago...she looked at her paper work walked into another room then said well not by our Vet. Once home my baby acted funny for couple days So I reassured her we wouldn't have to go back their ever again. Felt taken advantage of needless to say!

Great service - was able to fit my dog in same day right before the holiday. Dr. Bailey explained clearly what the issue was and my options. Follow up call by staff to check on my dog after the holiday. Highly recommend them to take care of your fur-baby.

I cannot say enough good things about this AnimalClinic and the people who work here.My husband and I had a very tragic event happen to us at the beginning of this month. On our move from MA to TN our sweet little dog had a seizure and passed away in the backseat while I was driving. She was older and had been having some health issues but nothing that would lead us to believe she was going to suddenly pass away.We were in the middle of VA, with no one and nothing around us that was familiar. We were devastated and in shock. We knew that we had to fine someplace to take her as rigor mortis would start to set in. One of the closest vets to us that pulled up was Animal Clinic of Rockbridge. We called and were immediately given assistance and told we could come right away.Once we got there one of the ladies came out and told us that she could take our little girl once we were ready and also explained that since we wanted her ashes they offer an extra package that include some sentimental touches. The price in total was extremely reasonable and they were able to ship everything to us.Though we were experiencing one of the worst and most traumatic things in our lives, we could not have gotten through it and been able to continue our journey without the love and support we were shown.

The staff is super welcoming not only to me but to my dog. My dog Zola, tends to be super nervous around people she doesnt know, but the staff, especially Dr. Schenley, make her comfortable and never force her to do anything. She has warmed up more and more with each visit and I could not be more pleased. I plan to continue to bring Zola here for all my vet care needs even though we live in North Carolina :)

THESE folks are absolutely wonderful people! Their level of empathy is outstanding! My patient's dog was hit by a car and they helped us get the funds for the bill. They have lined up the surgeon for her necessary surgery. Since her visit, they have called several times to check on Lizzie. The Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Roanoke ONLY wanted to euthanize this ESA animal for a dislocated hip! The levels of care and compassion for both pet and owner are like night and day! I would recommend THIS clinic based on our experience with them. Thank you for being decent human beings! The world could use a lot more like you!

I called 5 vets to get my milo in, when he had a severe accident to where was unable to walk. They were the only ones that would see him without some crazy monthly subscription or just in general and I thank them for everything they done!! Best vet around hands down because they actually care! I can't thank yall enough!!!
