We were down at LKG and our buddy Brodie had a freak situation where his body had rejected a portion of a surgery he had years prior (ACL,) it was Saturday morning and we were a decent ways from home. Gave these guys a call and they were able to get us in last minute!I was super grateful! They treated me and our boy Brodie like we were their regular clients! Staff was very accommodating and had great personalities!They took care of B and went above and beyond to text for infection and ensure there was nothing else going on. After bloodwork, final bill came out less than projected because to everyone’s surprise no infection was detected!If you’re in driving distance or down at the lake on vacation, you should check them out! This will be our “lake vet” for all of our fur friends!

The team here is awesome! They treat our furbabies like kings! Friendly and knowledgeable! When we needed to board our Baby Sunshine they knew he had separation anxiety and they gave him special attention and updated us on how he was doing. Highly recommend.

I started using LaCrosse Veterinary when my boy Mischief got sick. His normal veterinarian wouldn't take time to see him.I was recommended to LaCrosse Animal Hospital. I took Mischief in the next day and the veterinarian and staff were kind and understanding. I have been using them since. I'm always treated with kindness and respect and they treat Mischief the same way.

My dog Zoe has had multiple chronic issues and surgery. The team at LaCrosse Animal Hospital have taken great care of her each time. They call to follow up on how she is doing, too. That is a plus! She gets anxious at the vet, and they're good at calming her down and making her feel safe.

I got a Doberman puppy back in march and LaCrosse animal hospital was one of the few places where I could get his ears cropped. I called them and was able to immediately get an appointment scheduled. It’s about an hour and 20 minutes away from me but when I scheduled the appointment they communicated well with me and they were able to answer my questions and what to expect the day of the appointment. The staff are friendly and understanding. The day of the appointment I was made aware of the whole process and it was totally worth the hour drive. They did an excellent job with the ear cropping and they were patient into explaining the after care responsibilities I would be responsible for. After the ears are cropped it can take up to six months for the ears to stand on their own so you will have to keep posting them up. It has now been six months and Astros ears look AMAZING! Below are some before, during and after pictures. I would strongly recommend.

Dr. Eden’s and Dr. Dunavant at LaCrosse Animal Hospital are both amazing and take wonderful care of my fur-babies. They always fit you in asap, are professional, knowledgeable and caring and all of the staff treats my babies like they royalty (as they are of course). My oldest cat Bella recently had surgery for cancer removal by Dr. Dunavant and I just wanted to say thank you for going above and beyond for my girl. This is the only animal practice I would recommend to anyone who deeply loves their animals.

Drove well over an hour to take my girls to get spayed. Halfway home I got a call from LaCrosse Animal Hospital checking on them. Two days later, another call. I have never had a vet call to check on my fur babies. Great experience and would recommend to all looking for a vet.

The doctors is great but dealing with the front office staff is horrible. Trish is rude and has tried to double charge me twice now. The first time she said my puppy got a shot I didn't ask for and tried to charge $26. I asked her about it and she got rude and a vet tech had to come out and stated they didn't give the puppy the shot because I had already give him the shot.This time I tried to book a blood draw which they did for is about 2 months prior for a different dog for $20. She stated they had the test kit. I told her I didn't need the kit, only a blood draw and she told me it would be an exam fee and draw for $75, even though our dog just had an exam, per the office manager.I called back to talk to the office manager who suddenly wasn't in the office only about 2 mins later.If they ever hire new front office staff, we would come back but not with Trish there. Horrible experience.

Very over priced and very pushy on the services. The staff is very snooty and rude. I took my dog to them for a ccl injury and they did a bunch of tests that was not necessary my bill was 900 dollars and they said nothing we can do to fix it. I paid 900 dollars for this. Many of my friends have been over charged for the services as well.

Dr. Edens is absolutely fantastic and has treated all of my fur babies with the upmost care and love! The whole staff is very friendly and accommodating. They just took amazing care of my 6 month old Lab who was just spayed! They have also taken amazing care of my long haired cat from her groomings to multiple heath issues in the past! I don’t plan on bringing my pets anywhere else but here!

If you are low on funds: PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE!! They are very expensive and all of the smaller services will add up to a very LARGE bill. They will not work with you on the price and will hold your pet until you can pay, while charging boarding fees in the meantime.If you are NOT low on funds: They are really quick with getting you in and they make sure they do all they can for your pet. Most of the staff are friendly, Kayla up front was super helpful. I liked how clean the location was and the lady who offers prayers, gives comfort and hope to those who are going through a rough time with their pet. Their imagining is really neat (and expensive), and I really like that they are gentle and understanding with your pet. I believe that my cats were treated with compassion the whole time, and I really appreciate that.Conclusion: while I do believe the services provided were high quality, I don't think that I'll be bringing my pets back any time soon (if ever). I felt embarrassed that I was not able to pay and that my cat had to stay until I could. It was stressful for both me and my pet. I will say that I do think she was treated well in the care of the hospital, so thank you for helping so far. To anyone reading, good luck and I hope you are able to find your ideal vet because for me, this isn't it. But for you, it could be. Have a great day 😊

If you are looking for an ear crop, GO ELSEWHERE!!! Had my puppies ears done here and they are a complete mess. The staff won’t even acknowledge their mistake. I have sent these photos to several vets in VA in an attempt to get the crop corrected, each one is in disbelief that a licensed vet would do this. I found a vet who does corrective crops and is going to fix my pup but upon asking for a partial (not even a full) refund to help aid in the correction of his ears, I haven’t heard anything. Buyers beware. A real vet who cares about your animal would have addressed the situation and would help in any way they could to correct the issue. Not these guys.UPDATE: Had ears recroped at another vet. See how much better the crop looks now? They have no idea what they are doing.

I have taken 2 dogs to them for their care and have received excellent attention and care for both of them. They even came to my house to pick up one of the dogs that needed special care, because I could not lift her. This is a wonderful caring Vet hospital to take your animals.

While vacationing in the area, our 8 year old vaccinated dog had GI distress. I am grateful this vet was able to get her in same day, but we were preyed upon. I disclosed that our dog has sporatic tummy issues from, prior to her being seen. This clinic mis-diagnosed her with PARVO and said she had a 50% chance of survival (I later read that vax dogs have a 90% survival rate when treated early). We were completely distraught and opted to do whatever we could to help her. $1600 later, we left with a few bottles of pills labeled on the invoice as "parvo treatment". I called my regular vet, who was astonished that they even tested for parvo in our dog and was convinced that it was a mis-diagnosis. Furthermore, the pills that we were charged $800 for, I looked up online and cost $120. I called the next day to question the 700% markup and was told that they have to charge more than what we could get online. When we got home, we took our dog to our regular vet, who discontinued the the meds that LaCrosse gave her and prescribed only a probiotic and our dog finally started to recover. I feel completely swindled and traumatized by this business. I wish I had done my due diligence prior to allowing them rip us off and ruin our vacation by telling us our dog was likely to die.Updating to say our dog is fine and this vet never responded nor reached out to correct their mistake.

Everyone is so nice!I am down vacationing at Lake Gaston with my family. Both of my pups were walking around in the yard when all of a sudden a half a dozen of ground bees started attacking them and anyone else they could. Everyone is okay now.I almost had the Benadryl ready to administer before I noticed that one of my pups eye started to swell closed, he became disoriented, his tongue color became lighter I knew this was turning into an emergency.I quickly did a google search of local veterinary clinics and found that the only one open was LaCrosse.I called LaCrosse and I explained what happened as calmly as possible and was told to come in. By the time we got there his symptoms were starting to getting better. They had a very busy day and took my guy in and helped him.I was presented with an estimate of cost before anything was done. New client paperwork, sedation consent just in case. Although I was nervous the technician spoke calmly and was very nice. While waiting another tech/assistant/receptionist came out and explained that my very nervous guy calmed down and melted into her during and after his treatments were completed. He even got jealous when she was helping with another pup.I really appreciated the updates and the kind welcoming feeling that I received when they were very busy. You can tell everyone cares, the are very informative, and loves their job. Thank you again to everyone who helped with my guy and me.With all do respect I hope to not see you guys again while on vacation 😄. If so, I know who to call and I know my guys will be in great hands.Thank so so so much from the bottom of our hearts for helping our baby.

I started taking my new fur baby, Luna, here not long after I got her in April. First visit she got her necessary first shots & general exam. Her nails were trimmed & she received an ear check- both at no charge! Everyone was so friendly & professional. Second visit she got her booster shots & the service was excellent just like the first one. This past week (Aug 21-24) she was spayed & spent the weekend while my family took a short weekend trip to the mountains. I picked her up Monday morning. She was ready to go home of course LOL but the surgery went well & she was well cared for. She goes back to remove her stitches in about a week. GREAT EXPERIENCE....I LOVE THIS PLACE as did Jaxx! It's very neat & clean here and the fact that it smells fresh is a PLUS & lets you know they're on top of sanitation. You don't mind sitting while waiting to be seen annnnnd it smells fresh. If you didn't actually see the animals, you wouldn't even know you were at an animal clinic. And the demeanour of the ENTIRE staff was AWESOME!!!! Jaxx loved it here. While I'm vacationing, Jaxx will be boarding here. Thanks Lando & AP for the recommendation. I'd recommend this place to everyone with animals!!! I'm giving them 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ & a💯!

My partner and I make a habit of rehoming & helping stray animals everywhere we go. Days after moving into a new place we were approached by badly injured stray - missing ears, blind, deaf, massive open skin abrasion. Despite relaying ALL this info over the phone, it apparently wasn’t considered important, because when we arrived at the vet, the tech nonchalantly asked if we were here “for a neck sore”.Previous strays we’ve brought to clinics have been dumped, so we stressed to the staff that we would come back to pick her up once she was stable, to which they told us they almost never (???) keep cats overnight. So for some reason, this clinic thinks it’s perfectly acceptable to hold *dogs* for who knows how long while they yowl and whine and bark, but can’t keep a dehydrated infected cat overnight on fluids.Tech was absolutely clueless, zero drug knowledge, incapable of understanding what was wrong even after seeing the cat, condescendingly shameful attitude. Their prices might be affordable, but it proves the adage of “you get what you pay for” because the lack of professionalism was appalling.Sifting through older reviews and learning this place docks puppies, deals with breeders, and has been accused of animal theft makes me glad we received only the bare minimum care and got out - I would NEVER trust these people for any complex pet issue.

Thank you for the help you all give to the animals that are 'saved' to be a part of Love Mutts Rescue ! I know the clinic is busy, yet, my days are filled w/ last minute rescues... I appreciate how they get it done for them , for me, I drive from Kerr Lake, NC....many are VA dogs on their last ride. I am so glad to get the call about one more sweet dog that has gone unclaimed....they adopt out so quickly, fully vetted (altered/chipped/heartworm tested) wishing everyone would have this done to their personal dogs !

I have two Bernese Mountain Dogs. When it became difficult for me to bath them by myself, my boss recommended LaCrosse Animal Hospital. Not only do they do my grooming for my boys, but I have switched all my vet needs to them as well. Very pleased with Dr. Eden, Dr. Dunavant and their staff. So please that I recommended my sister in South Carolina to take her GoldenDoodle there when it was time for spaying her. They actually fit her in while she was in Virginia for a visit. Great people ! !

I have two Bernese Mountain Dogs. One needed a couple of teeth pulled and my regular vet quoted me over $1,500. My boss recommended LaCrosse Animal Hospital. I made an appointment for baths for the boys and the vet, as a courtesy, looked at the one's mouth. Yep, the teeth needed to be pulled. Quote came in $384 and they did it that same day. Wow did they same me a ton of money. Now my boy is happy and pain free ! !

They took very good care of Shinji and Yoshi today and will be getting them cleaned up and show ready Friday for the North vs South Bully show in Greensboro Saturday. Was awesome.Was able to get same day appointment and we are not even clients as her vet is out of state. They were fabulous, took there time with her and made certain we understood how to care for her at home. Gave her tests, and a treatment plan If they hadn't seen her so quickly and ordered the right tests she could of died. Everyone was wonderful , caring, professional. Highly recommend. They know what they are doing.

my dog died there this past march on the table during surgery for a twisted stomach & they called me today to ask if I wanted to get his pictures done with Santa. That experience was very traumatic for me and it was honestly very sickening to get that call. Never will I be going back there.

I would highly recommend not going to this vet, I asked for a crop on my American bully, they butchered her ears with jagged cuts and did not tapper the ears to her face, stitches started coming out within a day. When I complained about her ears, I was told that I would have to pay for them to fix there mistakes and I signed papers so it’s on me not them, they will not acknowledge what they have done very unprofessional. They are overprice and awful at ear crops save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere this place has no business touching dogs ears.I have got them fixed elsewhere and got exactly what I wanted for 1/4th the price.

Prices are crazy high they try to give you all this unnecessary and when you decline they start yelling at you and in my experience the vet called the animal control for malnourished dogs the animal control said the dogs look great so that tells you a lot about this place I won't be back.
