The employees have been very friendly, and the rooms are nice--especially for extended stays. The kitchenette has nothing, so you will need your own dishes. Thankfully, a super Walmart is easily within walking distance. And please note that there is no free breakfast, and room service is weekly. You can always get amenities when you need, though! They even have a laundry room (it takes quarters) if you need one. I will be coming back!

I don’t normally write reviews but this 2-star hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The staff was kind and helpful. They were happy to match the online price we found. I was so impressed with the cleanliness. Sometimes when you walk into a hotel there is a bad odor or the smell of air freshener trying to cover up odors. It smelled fresh and odor free. The room was more spacious than expected and even had a kitchenette with a full size fridge/freezer. It was nice to have the extra sink to use to brush teeth when someone was in the bathroom. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, although my pillow was a bit lumpy. This hotel is pet friendly and had a dispenser of poop bags near the grass. I didn’t see any pet waste when I was walking around with my pup. If we pass through Dahlgren again we will be staying here!

A last second decision to stop turned into one of the best hotel experiences ever. Price, cleanliness, friendliest and most helpful staff ever. Highly recommend, but be prepared to have it ruin you for other hotels you thought were great. This one was the best!Rooms: The rooms had a full size fridge, microwave, small stove. It would easily be a great room to stay in for multiple days having coffee, snacks, meals and being comfortable.Food & drinks: There were a few restaurants within walking distance and a Walmart where you could pick up supplies and prepare food in your room.

This place is very nice to stay in. Staff very friendly staff, we have been greeted by “Robin” and she was very nice. The hotel is very clean (this is the most important thing for me). Room has a good space. I really recommend it.

There is a big difference in the impression I received between early evening check in and morning crew.To be honest pulling up, it looked like we were pulling into a men's shelter. More than 19 men hanging out on the side of the building, smoking. Joined occasionally for a smoke by the evening counter staff. Similar shady feeling on check-in.The good: It felt clean in the room. The positive attitude of the morning staff. Did not smell smoke or pot during my stay.The bad: felt unnecessarily cheap which you will see with their soaps. There is an in room kitchen, as mentioned in other reviews, which is completely empty without anything in the cabinets. No plates, silverware or glasses. A cheap full size fridge that is unnecessarily loud. The halls smell like Dinty Moore beef stew and walking through was nauseating.No ice machines, and even though booking on line allows you to order ice, it just isn't so Joe. You have to turn on your ice machine and wait til it makes ice, crashing into the bin throughout the night.No breakfast although I wouldn't trust this place with food.There is only one chair in the room. 2 adults and 2 kids, there is no place to eat in a room with a kitchen.There is no dishwasher but they supply a cheap dishwasher soap to clean....??? No dishes?The fuss when asking for extra towels.The ugly.... deceptive advertising and photos.There are other more recognized brands of hotels near this one. This hotel appears to be looking to serve a different demographics than the major brands.Walmart is right there.

Pleasant check-in, front desk staff was engaging and kind. The room itself was very clean and had everything we needed, I liked that it had a little kitchenette. The room is simple, the furniture and fixtures were pretty basic, but the bed was comfortable and the recliner was great. I do wish there had been reading lights on both sides of the bed. The blackout curtain chain was a tad temperamental, but it did the job well and we slept later than I thought we would. Though I'm fairly sure the hotel was full, we didn't hear any other guests, which is a big plus, especially since we were on the ground floor.Be aware that there's no breakfast or restaurant area, but they do offer something that's referred to as breakfast in bed at an inexpensive rate. We chose to go out to breakfast, as I suspected the breakfast in bed was microwaved pre-prepared food.One reviewer complained at the number of times they were reminded about the no smoking policy. In Virginia, many hotels do still allow smoking, and I'm grateful that this one does not, and that there are reminders. We only received one.We would say here again.

I left my prescription behind and the housekeeper found it, turned it in, and Robyn from the Front Desk called us to let me know. They could have kept it and I would have been SOL, but they did the right thing and I’m so so grateful that my things were in their hands. Words cannot express the depth of my gratitude.Customer service aside, the room was very clean and I was really impressed by that. They had a nice little convenience corner too. Overall, I liked the place and would def stay there again

This hotel was quite the find! New, clean, great location near restaurants and stores, 24 hour delicious coffee, laundry rooms @ $1.50 per load, convenience food items sold in the lobby, friendly staff, matched the price on Orbitz, allowed a late checkout, comfortable bed, full size fridge, large microwave, 2 burner stove top, etc, etc. Couldn’t have asked for more. Price was significantly less than other chain hotels nearby and it offered so much more. Would definitely stay there again!

Quiet, accommodating, clean, affordable, and pet friendly.After a VERY long day of travels, with two babies and a dog, we were able to find this hotel and we were so happy we did. We needed a crib and a place that our dog could stay as well and that was hard to find. After calling 15 hotels, no exaggeration, we finally found this one. The reception desk worker was very kind and got our crib all set up for us. Would stay here again.

I cannot say enough nice things about our time at this hotel, which was about 2 and a half months. Everyone on staff was very kind and accommodating. They love kids and even at one point gave my 3 year old coloring pages and a bubble blower! There is a nice backyard area with corn hole & horseshoes. The hotel itself was very clean and fairly new. We would 100% stay again.

Pros: Wonderful room for the price. Super clean. Evening and morning staff were friendly and helpful.Con: Room had an noticeable aroma of sickly sweet curry, it reminded me of roach spray and curry.Check in, as the only person at the front desk, it took 20 minutes to check in. There were NINE admonitions to not smoke anywhere on site. NiNE dire warnings of a $250 fine/cleaning fee if someone smoked. Following this, a detailed, itemized location list of where we could not smoke. We do not smoke and do not smell like smoke.Additionally, the desk staff was flummoxed that one person was checking in for two rooms, as the family was unloading the car. We've never had this occur from 1-5 star hotels. Very off-putting.Pro/Con: Dogs are allowed.UPDATE: Thank you for your call addressing our experience. We look forward to staying with you another time in the near future!

First time staying .Fantastic place! Simply a great place, friendly, kind staff , extremely clean for a 2 year old hotel, there was not any dust anywhere, the carpet and the caulking in bathroom was spotless, great setup in the room , even a laundry basket for king teen stays .Great price ! great kitchen to cook and even get basic kitchen stuff to buy at the front desk or walking distance to Walmart.Grills out back to cool , great patio area,corn hole out back ,and a walking trail in the woods. I wouldn’t even think twice at any other places around there to stay.

Amenities and interior environment are very clean and cozy to stay. The only thing that presents us from giving a five star review is the front desk receptionist.The lady who checked us in was super friendly and helpful, but when we asked for extended check-out, the lady who picked up the phone (Samantha) sounded inpatient and indifferent. Personally, we value customer service highly, and the way she responded kinda disappointed us.Overall, this is a wonderful place to stay, if you don’t mind receiving a “what so ever” attitude from their employees.

We stayed there for a drag race at Budds Creek, in Mechanicsville, Maryland. I must say that this is a very great place to stay. Staff was very friendly throughout our stay. The rooms are phenomenal and the standard size refrigerator is definitely a plus! Very convenient to a shopping center. We will DEFINITELY be staying there again! The only con: No Pool! Definitely no complaints though!

What a wonderful find in King George, VA! After a failed AirBNB booking we found this gem on the Hotels.com app. We were concerned we wouldn’t be able to find a place that would accept our two 50 pound dogs, but My Place Hotels accepts pets without question. The property was clean, the room was super clean with more than sufficient amenities, and the staff was lovely. It’s too bad you can’t find these everywhere because it would definitely be my go-to place to stay every time. Thanks for the great stay!

My family and I have been here for the last 3 months and a bit more to go due to my husband attending training on base. The staff here has been beyond amazing! They treat us like family! Jackie is such a sweetheart and it’s always nice to see her. She is such a hard worker and always has a smile on! Robin at the front desk is sweet and always so helpful! Carson has helped us with everything from finding things to do in town and even allowed us to give our dogs a bath behind the building. Steve was so sweet and got our girls a friendship bracelet kit! Thank you guys for making our stay the best experience and for even getting to know us. It’s the little things that mean so much!

Great extended-stay hotel chain! Now replaces Hampton Inn as my favorite. King rooms get you a recliner, stovetop, and full-size refrigerator.Rooms: Very clean! They've won a Cleanliness Award two years running.

My grandson and I were taken in at the last minute on a Friday night due to bed bug issues at the Hampton Inn. It was there that I was treated in an extremely unprofessional, discourteous manner. The people at My Place were absolutely wonderful. In the panic and sheer horror of the moment, I forgot to get the name of the woman that greeted us. She gave me and my grandson a big hug (I had been crying uncontrollably) and offered my grandson a candy bar - after checking with me first. We were provided a room with two queen-sized beds. The only issue I had was a smell in the room that triggered my grandson's allergies, so he had a hard time sleeping. But after what happened at the HI, it felt like paradise. Keep up the compassionate, welcoming, professional job; even if it means I'll have to fight off other people that want to book with you.
