This is becoming the best of the Fredericksburg area stores. I shop here almost daily and often find several items to take home.Prices are reasonable.Clothing is organized by size again (instead of color)!Everything is organized (at least until the customers touch it).This store also has some of the best workers I've encountered in all of the Goodwill stores I visit in the area and around the country. Maybe I shop here too much, but I think we're all on a first name basis now.Lyndsey is doing great managing this location. I look forward to every trip to Dahlgren Goodwill.

Rarely go in this Goodwill anymore due to the high prices. Decided to have a browse today to see if they had any interesting christmas items. No. They used to have loads. In another aisle was yarn, used yarn. Priced higher than the brand new, (same brand) yarn I bought yesterday at Walmart.

Ooh one of the best Goodwills - very clean - and a good place to stop when traveling. They have a great selection of kids' books - I bought 24 books!!! There is no bathroom, so stop at one of the fast food places first if you're like me and can spend more than an hour in a Goodwill. Friendly staff, ample parking, including handicapped.

I have never been to a goodwill that doesn’t have at least one public bathroom. But I touched something that had grease on it. I thought ok, no bathrooms, I’ll use the water fountain, those don’t work. So I had to leave.I don’t mind the new layout, a lot more clothes that aren’t sorted by size.

In the area for work and decided to visited just to see what they offered. Store smells clean and looks organized. The reason for the one star review is due to the customer service received. Young (white) lady working the registered today 2.15.2023 made it very obvious that she didn’t want to touch my husband’s hand when returning his change. Myself being a black woman have seen this far to many times. This incident can’t be justified as anything else (germs, COVID, etc) when you’re handling unwashed clothing all day everyday from individuals that you have never seen, and money in general. I promise it won’t rub off on you!

Friendly & helpful staff accepting donations. The store has always been clean when I’ve gone in. Staff inside nice also. I have had not so nice experience dropping off at the Waldorf MD location. I will only drop off here now due to how the staff treats me nicely.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! This location changes prices on the fly according to what they think you should pay. After I selected a T SHIRT, from the T SHIRT rack I was told I would have to pay the the dress shirt price because they thought it was too nice. It was a tie dye t shirt with a screen print on both sides.... Many customers come to this store with a budget in mind and it's not fair to just change prices like that. And many items at this location are just way over priced. They wanted $120 for some beat up nike sneakers!!! Very disappointed in this location. I've been to about 6 different goodwill dtores in my area, this is by far the worst.

Clean. A little pricey, but all Goodwill donation centers have increased sales price. Friendly staff. It is convenient to purchase items for personal use, but most of the good items are sold on line.

The store is very clean and organized. A lot of nice items for really low prices. Brand new picture frames for 1.99 and got a nice bedding set that was in the box for 19.99. Also found brand new unworn work boots for 12.99 that retail for $150. The employees are super nice and all the merchandise is clean and sanitary.Edit- (18 months later) New management and new store layout. The pricing now seems to be ASTRONOMICAL on most items and great on the few finds you must scour the store for. I got brand new unworn RealTree hiking shoes for $10 but the clothes are much too expensive. There doesn't seem to be a system for pricing past the employees discretion. I used to buy my daughter lots of toys here but will not now. $6.99 for a used ratty Elsa doll that is brand new at Target for $9.99. I Think its very wrong to price toys and clothes so high that have been heavily used and donated and it is doing a major disservice to people who depend on places like this to clothe their family.

I don't go in there much anymore because of the high prices. A LOT of the time, I can buy the exact same thing next door at Walmart for the same price. Considering the things are donated, they really need to rethink their pricing.

Loved the store and the way it was organized but first time there and an employee was very rude to me because I apparently wasn't in line. Not like there were signs or anything. The other lady at register was super sweet though.

Intentionally selling broken electronics and damaged DVDs and not even allowing returns or exchanges for stuff they say that were inspected its like gambling on trash. After I made a purchase they have the nerve to ask for charity Goodwill Casino should be the new name I'm done with trash..

nicer and cleaner than a lot of Goodwill stores. i have bought nice drinking glasses, good books, and dishes for next to nothing, and a brand new, cute scrub top for work for $6. It couldn't have ever been worn, maybe once. great location.

Definitely declining. I used to visit regularly hoping to find bargains in exercise equipment, electronics, books, and recordings. It seems that management sends anything of potential value to their auction site. So there's little point in visiting. The store is clean and organized and the employees friendly. So I give it a middling rating

This is my local Goodwill. I donate and buy frequently. However, the customer service has declined drastically in the past few months. After a cashier rang up an item without the discount, I went back inside to point out the mistake. I was greeted with, "NOW what?!" Then, the manager told me that an item that I had already purchased was sold at the wrong price ($1.99) and I would have to pay $6.49 for it. (Is that even legal for a merchant to do?) When I said I didn't want it, she said she would not do a refund or store credit and I would have to pick something else to buy. I chose an item marked for $1.99 (which I was told was not the correct price). The manager ended up selling me an item for $1.50 and keeping my 49 cents...off of a cashier mistake. I worked retail for 10+ years. I am always polite and courteous, but I expect to be treated fairly as a consumer. The cashier yesterday has been rude on more than one occasion. I'm not sure what happened to their polite employees. The selection at this store is decent, though, which is the basis for the three stars.

Found some amazing finds. BRAND NEW SOLID WALNUT SLEIGH BED FOR 19.99 best deal I have seen in years. I am so glad I was there to witness the young man and his gf buy it. I was happy for them PLUS I found a Campbell's recipe tin brand new and un used. 5$. Best day ever.

I like this Goodwill - wish it was closer but that's not IT'S fault (lol). The woman's and shoes sections are awesome. It's always pretty clean and well kept. Everyone is really polite.

It was decent. Most of their home stuff is color coordinated, which was interesting. Very organized. I found a few good things. The clothes are hit-or-miss. There are some nice clothes, but they're needles in the haystack. Kind of confused as why there were some clothes hung up that had noticable stains on them, who wants them?

This is a wonderful store with a huge selection. You can find anything here from matching lamps to elder care products, furniture to videos, and every knick knack under the sun. You will not leave empty handed. Worth the trip!!

Store looked much better but lots of clothes on floor and employees up front talking to each other. The lady did speak when I went in but not being busy she should be telling customers thank you for visiting come back and see us when you exit the store as well.

One good trip here and one bad. First trip, the employees were polite and helpful. My second time visiting was with my SO. We found a few items we wished to purchase, so we proceeded to the front of the store. We rang the bell for assistance as instructed by a sign. A man (SO of one of the employees?) assured us two times that someone would be up shortly. After waiting about 10 minutes for help, we decided to leave our items at the front register and exit the store, leaving the unattended register and the now 3-person-long line that had formed behind us over the course of those 10 minutes behind. I would stop by again because the selection isn't bad, but I will leave immediately in the future if there is no one present at the front of the store.

Deff not!Went into the store and found a designer bag and other items and as soon as the cashier saw it when I set it up on the counter she automatically assumed it was fake and saying it was illegal to sell it yet it was on the floor on the purse rack with a goodwill tag on it when I know for sure it was not but she quickly took it to the back and said she had to check it if it was real but came back 2 mins later saying it did have a tag on it with the designer tag on it but couldn't sell it. There's no way she checked it that quick! Honestly I've been in this goodwill so many times purchasing designer bags, designer luggage, designer cloths and other things and never had a problem until today. I truly think she kept it to her self. I was so upset I won't be returning.If you can't sell certain things DON’T PUT IT OUT ON THE STORE and then refuse to sell it when customers are ready to pay.
