CASHIER #0243 @8:28am NEED TO LEARN CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. She did not acknowledge that I was standing there as she rudely rang up my groceries. She did not speak know nothing. When you walk in the FOOD LION they are always watching you as if you are going to steal groceries. Pathetic way to provide good service skills. Perhaps CASHIER#0243 must have thought I was invisible. Either that she must not wanted to be at work. She needs to reprimanded and sent a 120 hour Customer service class. Very disappointed in the lack there of.

Surprisingly good prices and the best selection of any store I've been to. Not that they're the biggest, they just happen to have most all of the products that I used to have to go to 3-4 other stores to get. I'm surprisingly impressed with the store brand also. And just very nice people. Kudos to the manager for a top-notch operation!

(I couldn't post this under cashiers for some reason). So, I am posting it here. Recently I visited F.L. and I was refused the purchase of alcohol due to a absolute lie by one of the rudest, and disrespectful employee, name (an older woman) Lisa who worked that night. Lisa used my greeting a friend with a little dance intro, it was nothing obscene, nothing flamboyant just a few dance steps towards my friend. Lisa used my actions directed to my friend as a reason to say I was causing trouble, and I was over the limit😲. Needless to say I was not. I didn't have to but I politely explained my actions, an went along with her stance on the situation. Hmmm. However, I 💯 percent knew she was not telling the truth. To be honest, she appeared to be recovering from a hangover 🤔.It's called happiness Lisa and when you heard me speak it was not the result of someone's exhibition of intoxication, but it's medical terminology is called residuals from having a stroke.You called this one wrong Lisa and to make things worse I watched you repeat your false narrative to the other employee that was working that night. Stop judging people and do some research on medical conditions if you are going to proceed in making medical condition calls vs. intoxication.Lisa you are too old, well you look old to not have common sense.Do better the next time, because judging you as you did me this won't be your last time misjudging patrons or people in general.DO BETTER LISA, WE DESERVE IT! Milk spoils a week earlier than the expiration date. Not sure if the supplier is the issue or management wipes the expiration dates and restamps them with false dates. I would say it may be my fridge but I have 4 that I've tried and 1 at work and they all expire way too early, no matter how cold I make my fridges.I also signed up for membership using their machine at the entrance and even got my cards in the mail, but somehow my phone number login doesn't work. My mail paperwork states my phone number was inputted correctly.

Typically, the produce here is good, but lately they're avocados have been rotted. I picked one up and tried to squeeze it to test its ripeness and literal dust spouted out of it! I bought these Haas avocados 1 hour ago and they are completely rotted inside. Avocados are not cheap, and this is just unacceptable to me.

It's a food lion. I like their produce, specially fruits. I buy other stuff on MVP. However, I don't buy my meat there. I'd rather buy meat from a place that actually cuts their own meat.

Prices at this store have inflated a bit. However, the BOGO offer, and 2 for $ makes this affordable. Clean store, well stocked. Love the self checkout here.

Nice clean store. Stocked and ready to go. Beer and wine available.4 the of July party was in about an hour ...There was an issue with the order and it wasn't made or being prepared . Things happen.Mr. Mike the Manager was more than willing meet our needs to make the order come together with plenty of time left to set up.It was very nice to see a positive manager step in and handle what would otherwise have been a serious problem for our party. We are new to Food Lion. All I can say is I am beyond impressed. Our French baguette was perfect. Our produce always fresh. The staff though, they are amazing. These guys have come a long way. They used to have poor customer service and now they are excellent 👌👏👍 Thank you for improving overall Food Lion of King George VA!!! You may have changed but it has been for the better 210% my friends. From the arrangement of items, to the new cash registers, and the new uniforms, Food Lion heard our criticisms and listened. They showed us that they actually do care about what their community thinks and wants, then showed us by improving the store and their staff! You are the best KG Food Lion staff and we all thank you! I thought it was bougie and ridiculous to order to-go groceries, but I did it for the first-time free offer, and let me tell you--I am hooked, largely due to the great customer service at this store that makes it convenient and pleasant. I do frequent this store for in-store shopping and have never had a bad experience, but the to-go option is just awesome. Thanks, Food Lion!

My son had gotten a job there while in high school this year. He is a senior so he is able to work early. He was asked by the front end manager to get paperwork signed for her so she could work him earlier in the day, which he did. Not only did she never work him earlier in the day but she only scheduled him 1 day a week. Upon talking with other people who work there and other parents we were told that she doesn't like to work the boys. We actually didn't want to believe that to be true but it most certainly was. At the end of the day this was only a temporary job for him as he worked his way through high school, but unfortunately for her it's her career!

So proud of our local food lion. Yes they have changed a few things like dots on the floor at checkout and plexiglass shields, but they have not instituted cattle chute style one way routes, single entrances and arrows on the floor. No police associates at the aisles making you feel like an idiot and herding you through the store without going back for that one item you forgot 2 aisles down.
