Beautiful, relaxing place. Great area to walk around or relax inside or out with a fantastic bar making great cocktails and a delicious restaurant. My only regret was not bringing my swimsuit because it was March, but not only was it beautiful weather, the huge, negative edge pool overlooking the golf course was heated to a perfect temperature. Others were swimming. I was jelly. Lol

Built in 1912, a billionaires old home in horse country. Beautiful, new, well appointed rooms. Great food and bar. Pool is stellar. Just one of the best resorts in Virginia. Feels very California with Jean George Marigolds on site!Rooms: Big and Luxurious

My family had a relaxing weekend at Keswick. The property is well maintained, upscale, and classic. We enjoyed the room a lot, which has ample space saved for bathroom and changing area. The family pool is also an added bonus, given the infinity pool is adult-only.I took one star off mostly because we didn’t feel much proactive service being provided; all staff are polite and responsive, but when we checked in, no one gave us any tour of the property, maps, or any activity suggestions as a family. The next day after breakfast, we really didn’t know what to do in property and ended up just checking out early. As a Category 7 hotel within Hyatt network (though I heard the SLH network will end partnership with Hyatt), we were expecting more personalized service at this price point and category.

We spent Christmas and our anniversary at Keswick Hall. Our experience with our room overlooking the golf course, dinner on Christmas to finishing our stay was spectacular. What stood out was the cleanliness of our room, the sparkle of the grounds and the attentiveness of the staff. The front desk staff instantly made you feel welcomed, responsive to any questions. The highlight was my 90 minute facial with Alexis. She paid attention to what I was looking for before the process and she did not disappoint. I highly recommend her facials. I left the facility feeling glorious and fresh. If your intent is to relax and do nothing but acceptance of being pampered, plan to stay at least an overnight. Go ahead, you deserve it!

Gorgeous grounds and amenities, all within a short drive to Charlottesville. More than the grounds or facilities, we were blown away by the superb customer service - in our experience, the Keswick team consistently went above and beyond from the time we arrived. There was no better example of this than when we were dining at Marigold's (on property) and the fire alarm in the main hotel went off - without hesitation, the staff thought of our dog (who was alone in our room while we ate) and sprung into action, retrieved him, and brought him to us. Luckily, the fire was a false alarm, but this type of thoughtful consideration and proactive action was exceedingly meaningful to us. Thanks, Team Keswick!

Amazing place. First the good.Rooms are very nice. Robes and slippers and great views. Ask for a room on the golf course side though. Marigold Restaurant on site has very good breakfast and dinner choices and Wine selection. Dinner for two with drinks will be $70 person and up, but worth it to dress up and enjoy the view and ambience. Golf course is well maintained and very nice. Little nooks and libraries are private and cozy places to enjoy a drink from the bar. Coffee shop on site has great variety as well. Closest winery is Jefferson but location is very convenient to anything in Charlottesville. Staff is very attentive in all areas. Skip, Kasey at reception and David thebell hop all were very courteous. Resort is very clean and immaculate grounds and sitting areas. Very well thought out design. Now the improvements in my opinion.Need more high end bourbon at the bar and restaurant. Blantons, EH Taylor, Eagle Rare, Penelope would be some great starts. Even your neighbor Ragged Branch has great bourbons and drink ideas. Whistle Pig is ok but not the best for higher end dining. Golf course club house did not have the best selection of you wanted ball marker or rental clubs. Apparel was ok but 1912 logo was only option. I would rather have the KH golf hat in the coffee shop. Staff needs to track pool use better. Two times we went to get in the pool, kids were in the indicated adults only pool so that wasn’t ideal for us. Hot tub temperature was 85, I would go to 92-96 on this.

My review is about the spa —Keswick Hall's Spa is such a treat. Truly a hideaway experience, you will completely forget you're in Charlottesville. The facilities are beautiful, clean, quiet, and spacious. I enjoyed a peaceful and restorative massage with Julia, the sauna and eucalyptus steam room were fantastic, and a peaceful afternoon lounging in the main room. The variety of teas, fruit waters, and snacks available are special touches. They also have a neat guided mediation option and ample seating. Overall, the spa is serene and the best spa experience you will find in Charlottesville.

My room was at the end of the entrance, so it was difficult to get to the restaurant or swimming pool. Especially if I go gym in the morning, I don't need any warm up exercises. However, it is a beautiful resort that is one of only a few in the East!

Even though Full Cry Golf Club is in winter season, it is still in immaculate condition. You will have to search far and for awhile to find a more beautiful course. The resort is and will always be Gold Star Standard. You won't find a better combo Golf / relax / bizmix.

We had a wonderful stay at Keswick Hall! The rooms were very spacious, the staff were all so friendly and the meals were delicious! We also really enjoyed the spa. We never had an issue finding open chairs at the pool and appreciated that it was adults only. Our only suggestions would be to extend the morning coffee past 7 am and to refresh the water and snacks in the room on a daily basis. Otherwise, it was a 5 star stay and we will definitely be returning!

We really enjoyed our time at Keswick. I had a plant powered massage and enjoyed the spa area! They have nice amenities and a beautiful relaxation room. The food was wonderful at on site restaurant. The gentlemen enjoyed the golf (even if it was raining a bit). The bar staff was very friendly and helpful. A beautiful property and a place I hope to return too soon.Food & drinks: The restaurant and bar (inside main hotel) where nicely appointed and staff was fantastic!

This one was a bummer. I went to the spa today and there were things I enjoyed and things I did not. The facility is amazing. The common area and locker room were beautiful. I loved the steam room. The sauna was warm at best, I wish it were truly hot. The robes were comfortable and staff was attentive. I think it’s ridiculous that you can’t use the pool when you pay a small fortune for the spa. I also had a very unpleasant massage. Shannon was my massage therapist and I’ve had a lot of massages in my life but I really kind of suffered through this one. The room was freezing (67 degrees to be exact) which would be fine if the heating pad in the massage table worked. It did not. I was freezing for the majority of the massage. I think she knew because she kept wrapping my chest and extremities in warm towels but they’d quickly just be very cold and very wet. The massage had virtually zero pressure. I felt like I was just being rubbed with oil for an hour. I don’t feel any sort of relief after having a $200 massage plus the addition of hot stones and that, to me, isn’t acceptable. I went through the trouble of notating my sore areas and they were not tended to. I’m not sure how often she gives massages because she also happened to do my friends facial. I wish Keswick would pair you with seasoned massage therapists because it truly ruined my experience.

Very frustrated with my experience at Keswick Hall over the weekend. I can say the staff are very kind and the rooms are decent, but the food was only okay. The room service was particularly disappointing. I heard Magnolia's is good, but we did not have time to dine there.I was also overcharged for 2 nights of my stay. I booked two rooms, one for 3 nights and one for 1 night with their reservation specialist Viola. However, upon arrival I was told both rooms were booked for 3 nights. I immediately let them know this was not correct, and did not check into the second room until Saturday which is when it should have been booked. I spoke with Viola who recognized her error and contacted Ryan Ocker director of sales per her instructions. It took him 4 days to get back to me and he is refusing to correct their error and issue a refund for the 2 nights. Very disappointing customer service from what is supposed to be a luxury property.Update: Ryan The manager told me because I didn't catch their mistake, it's fine they are committing fraud. This was a business expense, and I did not catch it on the hundreds of transactions that go through daily. He is also refusing to speak to me on the phone or check with his employee about the error. I even asked him to check their phone recordings as many hotels do that. I don't know what kind of grown man behaves this way. There are so many other nice places you can stay. Please don't give this business any of your money.

I treated myself to a stay here for my birthday last summer. I must say that might become a new tradition for me.My room was absolutely lovely with a king bed and balcony overlooking the golf course. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I met the most amazing and friendly guests as well. I enjoyed the cocktail pool so much. I think that and the bike rides were my favorite.Everything you need is there. If you want a luxurious experience, this is your place.Food was delicious too! I’ll definitely be back next time around the sun!Highly recommend!💕

Bottom line... Spend your money elsewhere! My husband and I were excited to spend our anniversary weekend here, but after just a few hours on property decided we were better off heading back home. The grounds and building are beautiful, but that's it.... That's all it has to offer! The high level of service and special touches you expect from a luxury resort are non existent! We booked an upgraded balcony/terrace room for the view, but our view was a sidewalk and giant tent... Nothing like having to keep the curtains shut when you paid for an upgraded room with a view. The website room descriptions need to be more accurate! And of course they couldn't move us since they were booked solid due to a wedding. It's a beautiful venue for a wedding, but non wedding guests should NEVER be left to feel secondary! We tried to find a place to enjoy a drink and the view (since that wasn't happening from our room) but areas were being closed off for a private event, and our only option was to be served beverages in plastic cups from the pool bar. Not my idea of luxury or a warm welcome!Bugs in the shower, red wine served in white wine glasses, STAFF who ENTER your room WITHOUT KNOCKING!!!! Read that one again! And the final reason we packed it up to go home after only a few hours was a copperhead snake waiting for us in our room after dinner! The manager on duty, Casey, tried to smooth out our stay but nothing was worth this level of miserable! Save yourself from major regret and stay someplace else!

I would rather give a 4.5 at least. This place is visually amazing. It’s our second time and we will be back. It’s reminiscent of being overseas in a villa or chateau. This place can easily be 5 stars and really I do not want to be harsh. My major gripe staying the weekend, my son complained about a hair in his food. We thought he was just playing, initially. The kitchen, but I truly think our dyed red headed older waitress messed up my order. When my food came out the second time a hair was in my plate too! Honestly, I can’t help to think it was intentional. She was very weird and not attentive. I had to even ask for honey for my tea. I think she was low key a hater. I don’t see how she’s even hired there. As I was eating, I was eavesdropping with her making fun of a staff member who dropped silverware, which happens. This old redhead seems on the top unrefined side to even be on the premises. The manager did come out and apologized and we didn’t have to pay for our meal. My husband left a tip, but she didn’t deserve it. She needs to be working in the fast food industry, such as a drive thru maybe? My second issue was when we left our room to play golf, absolutely beautiful and well maintained grounds I may add. There was no housekeeping that came to our room. I think they were short staffed. I can understand. We don’t mind asking. We are an easy going family. Lastly, the pool is beautiful as well. Attention to aesthetics was there. The majority of the staff were great and as I mentioned this is a truly luxury resort. It’s a hidden gem.

Keswick Hall is an outstanding resort that I highly recommend. The entire property is breathtaking, and there are plenty of outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy the scenery. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent recommendations for wineries and restaurants in the area. The spa was a real highlight for me, and the relaxation room was a must-visit with its stunning views. My mother had an unforgettable birthday weekend at this resort, and we both cannot wait to return.

Loved the grounds. We were greeted by David at the front lobby. Great customer service as he showed us the grounds !Very well groomed landscape nestled in the mountains. Infinity pool with drinks by the poolside was everything. Heated!!! All the bar staff were very attentive to their guests with some very well stocked signature whiskeys.Spa has amazing private steam and dry saunas options in locker rooms with a relaxation room overlooking the dense forest. Every spa room is Amazing and relaxing with very spacious amenities. Individual showers with signature soaps after your steam room experience. Followed by a massage that was heavenly! Didn't want to leave!Very great experience!

I only played golf here as a member guest. The course is phenomenal and great shape and challenging. Service across the board at all the amenities was amazing very friendly staff. Food and drinks were on point. Be warned if you're golfing here there's no beverage cart so get what you need before you head out and there's no way to really come in off the 9th to get something to eat quickly.

We enjoyed our time at Keswick Hall. It is a beautiful setting and the hotel is very luxurious. My one complaint would be the incessant leaf blowers while trying to take in the fresh Piedmont Air.The heated infinity pool made the entire trip worthwhile. Absolutely beautiful.

Beautiful property with excellent attention to detail throughout the resort. Service was good but not great considering the room rates are over $1k on the weekends. There are also odd nickel/dime charges - for example, no coffee in room and available only in lobby from 5 AM to 7 AM. Then it’s $5 for a cup of brewed coffee.Restaurant (Marigold) is excellent.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Keswick Hall. The property is elegantly yet subtly adorned, and enveloped by the natural beauty of this region of Virginia. The staff at Keswick Hall are amazing. I wanted to especially thank Wyatt and David; they were very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was an exceptional one.

Beautiful resort with a breathtaking golf course, but sadly service failed to deliver. We stayed here for 2 nights with another family as a 'weekend getaway'. When we first pulled into the hotel our first thought was how beautiful the grounds were. Once we pulled into the entrance, we weren't sure if we were in the check-in area because there wasn't a single hotel employee standing out front to greet us, help us valet the car and/or a bellman to help with the luggage. When I walked inside the hotel to check, their response was that the bellman/valet was helping another guest check-in at the moment. How is it a hotel of this caliber would only have 1 person?? The front desk was friendly and quick. Unfortunately, the spa wasn't opened yet the weekend we visited. The service at Marigold's was very poor. Our server did not come up to greet us and after 10 minutes of sitting around, she came up to ask if we were ready to order? How about starting with the food specials or taking our drink orders? Food was good, but it's too bad that the service did not match the food experience. The pool at the resort was beautiful and relaxing. I wished the servers would actually come up to the guests to see if they needed anything instead of having us walk up to the bar. Overall, service was not up to par for what it needs to be for a 5-star resort. I do hope that they improve on their service standards so that we can share this hotel with others in the future.
