The store is neat and clean and the people are friendly and helpful. I have been shopping here most of my life, sometimes under different owners and management. They sell a variety of groceries and they serve hot and cold Deli foods fried chicken and rotisserie chicken.Great place to pick up a quick lunch or dinner.

Stopped here for groceries since it's the only place close by. I understand that this place is in the middle of nowhere but we were appalled by the state of the produce section.Fruits that were starting to rot, items that had mold on them and the mushrooms were also going bad. Mold and some sort of growth that was visible through the containers. Yuck.If you want to buy produce here be sure you check it over thoroughly before purchasing.

Nancy at the register was SO friendly and helpful! They were out of propane cylinders and she was so quick to call another store close by to see if they had any in stock. We were so grateful for all her help!

Not only do they provide an excellent variety of groceries, they also greet customers at the door with such compassion it almost makes you feel at home while buying your produce! I can’t tell you enough how amazing the staff are in this establishment!

I swear I hit 5 stars but it went through as 4 at first. Now that I'm home in MD with stable wifi I can leave a proper review. Connection in the mountains is very iffy!My husband absolutely LOVED the raspberry jelly donuts we bought. The meat was very reasonably priced, I loved the fact that we could choose small portions because I don't eat a lot of meat. Oh! Loved the fresh churned honey butter! That's hard to find!The cashiers were also very friendly and inviting even though we were obviously not from around there!

I've shopped at several IGA'S around Virginia some have closed. Nice store but do not carry IGA'S signature products I love. Hopefully the manager sees this cause I'd drive to this store for them it's closer the the IGA in west Virginia fishers meat products, specially their garlic bologna and pickled bologna regular and hot. I know you can't cater for 1 person but if people were able to try the products I believe they would sell. They were always sold out where I bought them before. They are a better product than Oscar Mayers any day I rank them higher than boars head meats. TY

Valley Supermarket is a great home town place to go. The staff is friendly and courteous. The selections are manifold and of the highest quality. I am a provider to the store of Minnonite honeys and jams from a farm over 400 miles away in Kentucky. These are home made goods with exceptional taste! The store is a favored customer and goes the extra mile to bring the best to people in the Hot Springs area. We are thankful for Valley Super Market!Bill Hunter

Valley Supermarket is such a great grocery store for the community. When I went in recently, I was very impressed by their wide selection of beer, wine, and even local cider! The employees are always very helpful and kind. Couldn’t ask for more!

Every time I am in Hot Springs I do all my shopping at the Valley Supermarket. Their beef, dairy and dry goods are far superior to what you can get in Covington. Plus, it is run by a great local family. I strongly believe in supporting locally owned businesses.

One of, if not the best iga I've visited. They've got it all. Was in town with family for a few days. We made several trips. Fresh vegetables, really good beer and wine selection, nice employees.

If you need just a couple things you may had forgotten to get elsewhere this would definitely accomadate anyone. The prices are certainly higher being the location is so rural and locals often travel the extra to our neighboring city of Covington which offers the larger name brand stores and prices are more in line with local residents budgets given most of bath s community services are geared and designed for the elderly

I was a butcher at Valley Supermarket for almost five years (12/02/11 - 5/24/16). In that time, a lot changed: for the better. The wine room was built, the quality of food prepared in the kitchen was improved, fresh sliced gourmet deli meats and cheeses were added, and more technology was incorporated to make the store more efficient.When you work somewhere that long you get to see how things happen behind the scenes. At no point in time did the current ownership and management team cut corners on the way to the success and accolades they've enjoyed. There isn't a job in the supermarket the current manager wasn't trained to do.Every part of the shopping experience has been broken down and studied to anticipate a customers needs. It's not typical grocery store ergonomics and customer service training. The staff dilligently works to make sure you are aware of specials and that you can find all of the items you are looking for.The butcher shop is, in many ways, the anchor of the store. The meats are hand cut, domestic, and of the highest quality. There are very few places left where you can order a 2 inch thick ribeye and watch someone cut and trim it for you. The pork is cut two to three times a week to guarantee freshness. The only grocery store that has a comparable meat department is Kroger in Daleville. They do really good work, the prices are very similar to Valley Supermarket's, but who wants to drive 70 miles?Tourism is a major part of Bath County's economy. Every summer vistors to the campgrounds, timeshare communities, or people just getting away would make their trip to the supermarket and marvel at how well they were treated and the quality of the produce and meats.This is a first rate operation that keeps improving. I left Valley Supermarket to pursue a career in radio. I enjoy what I do, but I miss the atmosphere and my coworkers. This is the kind of small town grocery store you go to for eggs and milk and leave feeling better about your day.
