Alix is very knowledgeable about minerals. Her wire-wrapped jewelry is stunning, and of great quality, and she is quite experienced after doing this for many years. The specimens for sale are reasonably priced. A great place to visit and shop in a unique mountain village.

What a wonderful treat to stroll down Main Street in Hot Springs and happen upon McGraw Minerals. The proprietor, Alix McGraw, carries a large selection of hand crated jewelry and a tremendous selection of local art. The artists she represents offer something for everyone, from large, room encompassing works to tiny detailed paintings. Much of the art depicts local, Bath County scenery, which, if you have been to Bath County, is nothing short of beautiful. And, Alix has a great eye and taste when it comes to her wares. My wife and I have found numerous pieces to add to our collection and it seems like every time we visit Alix we find something new that, of course, must be added to our collection. I highly recommend a stop at McGraw Minerals during a visit to Hot Springs; or, during every visit, because the inventory changes constantly. It is always an enlightening experience.Tar Heel

The McGraw’s Gallery features exquisite paintings, sculptures, and jewelry (made by the owners). I judge a gallery not only in the quality of its art but also how long I stay to view and enjoy it. This gallery draws you in, and holds your attention as you explore the diversity of its appeal. The owner is delightful, and very knowledgeable about the art she sells. Main Street Gallery in Hot Springs, Virginia has been the primary show- and- sales location for my work for several years. The staff is quite knowledgeable and courteous. My paintings, and those of many other regional artists, are effectively and tastefully displayed. The gallery exhibits a wide range of subjects and styles in original pieces as well as reproductions. I highly recommend this gallery to viewers and buyers.

What a cool little gallery! Great location and a nice variety of pieces from photos to jewelry to large original oils and sculptures. We were fortunate enough to visit when one of the owners was working and enjoyed a pleasant conversation and information about many of the local artists. The toughest part was deciding which piece to purchase! We’ll definitely be back.

Lovely small town gallery representing good variety of local accomplished artists from photographers (awesome photos of Homestead and elsewhere) to traditional oil/acrylic artists (landscapes, animal and architecture) AND jewelry! Some cool sculptures, too! Had I enough room, would have walked out with half the gallery. Recommend stopping by!

Wonderful range of paintings in a variety of media showing the Virginia landscape. The locally made jewelry ranges in style. Many of the pieces are stunning in color and design. The atmosphere is low key and informal making a visit a very enjoyable experience.
