We walked in and the smell of stale cigarettes and mildew was all you could smell ! Carpets are dirty walking up the hall to our room . We walked in our room and the carpets and smell is no better so gross ! The walls had not been cleaned in ages stuff rubbed all over them ! The bathroom tap is broken and the fridge / microwave have not been cleaned ! I would not recommend this place .

We stayed here for 3 nights . It was very nice , clean and quiet. The only thing I wished for was a bar to hold on to in the shower and everything would have been perfect.The first morning housekeeping was knocking at the door at 9:45. I told her through the door that we would be out by 11( we were staying that day also) but got back in the afternoon and room hadn’t been touched. She saw us in the hallway when we were leaving and didn’t say anything except hello after we spoke to her first. Second time we saw a different lady in the hall and she asked if we needed towels and also emptied the trash . I guess you have to tell them now if you want anything while you stay there as they are probably short handed.This would not keep me from staying there again though . It is a nice motel.

Okay hotel. Provides the Basics for a place to sleep while traveling- right off intestate-no thrills. No carpeting in the rooms and no bugs. We took our dogs with us. Others had their dogs, too, and we could not hear anything from other rooms - only in the hallways. Provided limited breakfast: waffles, breads, couple of cereals, coffee and juice. The clerks were friendly and helpful.Noteworthy details: Beautiful view of intestate, tractor trailers at the gas station next door, and still can smell the mountain air😄

Not a good hotel when you pay 90.00 a night and walk in to 1 one with trash everywhere and cat food or poop on the floor and no pillow casesThey the 2nd room we thought was good and after being in there for a little bit seen bugs in this room and in the bathroom behind the door pulled the covers down and sheets was dirty all this for 90.00 no way

If you're looking for a cheap one night room this place will do. It doesn't have an elevator to the second floor so if you have disabilities make sure you reserve a first floor room.Rooms: Our room was clean and had a nice clean lounge chair.

Good place to stay right off the Interstate. The rooms were clean and furnished with microwave, small fridge, and TV. The rooms were quiet and I didn't hear people outside in the hallways or vehicles and equipment outside my well insulated room. The front desk and housekeeping staff were polite, courteous and patient. Good rates. I would stay there again. Good vibe at the Super 8.

Location was important for my travels and they gave me a military discount which is greatly appreciated. The room was ok especially since I was solo. The carpet was a little stained and the door trim needs to repainted. But the bed was fine and I slept OK. No pictures needed fir this property so that's an improvement from my last trip same brand.Nearby activities: It's close to Fancy Gap on Blue Ridge Parkway which worked for me.

Non smoking rooms that smell like someone smoked a pack of Rothmans in them, dirty bathroom walls, "breakfast included" is just awful, broken towel rack, stained blankets, dirty baseboards. There's more but I'm tired of thinking about the room. The staff are very nice.

The room was very clean and orderly. Well equipped for the price point. Ice machine was modern and clean. Furniture was also modern and in good shape. Mattress was a bit hard however. Ample supplies well available. Soaps and toiletries well stocked. Had the mattress been a bit more comfortable; I would have given 5 stars.

This is not the best Super 8 I've stayed at. In fact it's not in the top fifty percent of Super 8 motels I've stayed at. It's obviously an older facility, and while they've made some efforts to update the place, only so much can be done with the existing structure without completely gutting the place and starting over. The bed was not the most comfortable, the floor was uneven under the carpet and our window faced the truck stop and we had an idling truck right outside our window all night. Not only is there no heat in the hallways, but the room was 55 degrees or so when we checked in. I'm guessing the hall was probably closer to 45 degrees. One last gripe, and this may seem unlikely for a tiled floor, but the foyer at the entrance to the main building reeked of cat urine. At first I thought it was just me, but my wife noticed the same thing. The woman working the front desk when we checked in was very nice, and they did have waffles for breakfast, so it wasn't all bad. I just don't know if I would stay there again.

Cheap, quiet, clean, hot water, clean towels. You get what you pay for. We needed a place to sleep, and didn’t want to pay for upscale branding. Check-in was quick and friendly. Coffee maker, microwave, fridge in room. The bed was firm and comfortable. Sheets clean, towels were really decent- not the super thin ones. Wall heater/fan/AC worked well. I kept it on fan all night, and it stayed on and steady. Some dings to the paint, but overall, better than I expected.

Very happy with our stay. We usually stay at Motel 6 but we're less than thrilled with our last stay there at the one in Murfreesboro TN. The rooms at this Super 8 we're clean and put together well. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was ready when they said it would be. Would definitely recommend this place if needing a room for a night or so.

Definitely worth the price. Smallish, older room, but impeccably clean. Comfortable bed, good shower pressure, easy to park, nice breakfast. Great location just off the highway and right across the street from a nice park. Every staff member we encountered bubbled with friendliness and cheer.Only negative: do not place a picnic table near an entry door so that when people smoke like chimneys at the table, the smoke fills the hallway of a non-smoking building.

The place for the money is not bad, had small restroom/bathroom. There was small. Fridge microwave. Small fridge. It's not too dirty soft beds..Rooms: Just older with newer style with okay furniture.Nearby activities: Feed the kittieaSafety: Was emptyWalkability: Gas station across street had snacks. About a mile to restaurant there is a wall mart.Noteworthy details: Had a lot of camera's in the halls.

This place was very clean and neat. My room was quiet and very comfortable. The check in gal was super friendly and very helpful. I travel a lot and have 0 complaints about this hotel. I would be more than happy to stay here again and I wish this was the standard for hotels. I can't understand why I doesnt have better reviews. It's not NYC or Cancun, it's VA. A beautiful area to go and visit. So a clean safe room with friendly people is all you need. Everything smelled and looked clean. It's almost like the whole place was brand new.

The hotel is no longer worth considering. The toilet was dirty, yellow spots on it (I wonder what was that). Brown smudges on the washroom door, smudges that can be washed (I did). The room was not vacuumed, crumbs on the carpet which, by the way, needs changing. I had to go to the desk and ask for sanitizer to clean the room myself, the good part is that I got the sanitizer and it was no big deal to wipe the bathroom using the provided bathroom tissue. The bathtub drain was clogged, I could not take a shower there. Disgusting. Nevertheless housekeeping left the envelope for the tip. Really? I need to be paid for this!This motel needs to be shut down by the county health department until better management is hired. I used to stay here about once every three months, this is definitely the LAST. I suggest if you consider this, then REconsider.

We needed a place to stay overnight on our way back home to Pennsylvania from Florida. The reviews of this hotel said that while it was no frills, it was clean and safe. We booked the room on the day we were to arrive and we got here after over 10 hours of driving. At first everything seemed fine. The front desk clerk was friendly, had no problems finding our reservation, and we were in our room within minutes. At first glance the room seemed clean and everything was in order. I thought the housekeeping staff leaving an envelope for a tip was is a bit tacky, but then I remembered that most people don't tip housekeeping staff any more and maybe a reminder is needed. It wasn't until I was brushing my teeth for the night that I noticed something odd about the hair dryer. Upon closer examination, I found that it was covered with hair. Needless to say this put me off a bit. especially since the Housekeeping staff did leave a tip envelope, I would expect them to make sure the room is actually clean.

Old, Shabby, Dated, Run down. This reminded my why we avoid Super 8. Uncared for. Meager breakfast -- no eggs and no yogurt. They are doing the bare minimum. There a other options at this location.Rooms: Old, dated, damaged.Food & drinks: Very limited breakfast.

Friendly staff and the price is as inexpensive as it can get for a hotel in the area. Other hotels are WAY overpriced. Rooms were clean enough, but it's more of an overnight because I'm too tired to drive the rest of the way hotel. Housekeeping did an excellent job. There were no real extras. I have a thing about pillows, so I brought my own.
