I was on vacation visiting Hillsville and this Food Lion has an incredible selection of food. From gluten free and organic to everything in between. I was pleasantly surprised. Great place.

The staff is always friendly, easy to find things. Prices are to be expected in this time of inflation. And usually if something isn't in stock I speak to someone in that department and will put in an order and it comes within a timely manor. Yes you'll have to come back. But hey its all good.

Has a great selection of groceries and craft beer. Employees are always friendly but they could use a little bit more parking. Pretty much everyone in Fancy Gap and hillsville shop at this one grocery store so it gets incredibly busy.

The store was clean and very nice. The expanded and enclosed produce section was a nice addition. Things seemed to be a bit fresher due to this.In constrast to the Floyd Food Lion this one had fully stocked shelves and employees were abuzz stocking things left and right.Great job at this Food Lion!

I can generally find everything I need here. And for the most part I get most of my items cheaper here than anywhere else. Meat is the exception to the rule on that but even that is cheaper than it is at Walmart!

Hillsville, VA location is a very friendly place. Shelves are mostly stocked. Produce is normally fresh. We do not have but a couple choices of grocery stores so we are grateful for what we've got.👍

The customers here are some of the worst types I've ever encountered, but the employees are stellar! I usually just use Food Lion To-Go pickup service, and my orders are always fast, friendly, and accurate. Best way to do grocery shopping!

The only grocery store in Hillsville VA. Expensive but everything everywhere is in August 2023 thanks to Biden. But using your MVP card saves hella money 🤑

Very clean store with a nice variety of items within each department. Small in store bakery with a focus on sweets and some breads. Nice coolers of frozen and dairy. Front of store has a small produce section on the floor...but a good sized cooler room with fresh perishable produce. Nicely done. Wine section features national, international and local wines. Being from out of state, I found the regular price on several of the local wines was cheaper than purchasing it at the winery. LOL. Customer service was quick at the registers even at busy times. Each time we shopped during our stay in Hillsville the cashier or customer is line offered to swipe the store loyalty card for us, saving $ on selected items. We will return here again.

I shop here for the friendly staff and the opportunity to hangout with my grandma. Prices are competitive but you go to Food Lion for the relaxing atmosphere compared to other fast pace convenience stores. 9/10

Staff has been very helpful. The quality of the food is also consistently good. The parking lot, which Food Lion can't control, is out of control. Every time I back out of a spot someone speeds by behind me, I slam on the brakes and almost wreck. This is for over 2 years. I now park in the far fringes of the parking lot, hoping to stay sane and safe.

Need more fresh meat and veggies! Something like what food city has would be great! This is the only grocery store within 30 minutes of town and I feel the selection of items could be better! For example they are almost always sold out of Dutchess brand milk! It is a local dairy and they only put out 4 gallons of milk at a time from them in whole milk and 2%! Prices are high as well!

Shopped this grocery store for years. I like their food and made in USA is beginning to come on everything they got. Just good prices even though prices are rising. I can trust their food. No a lot of recalls back on their meat ,And produce. Staff is always helpful and manager.

On 4/10/21 we were there getting a few things for Sunday morning breakfast. One item , Pillsbury Orange Danish rolls were not included in the bag of items. We were charged for it, it’s the first item on the receipt. When we got home (and it’s a good 16 miles away) we unloaded the bags and discovered it was not there. I called store and spoke with a very young man I wish I had his name, who should not be on the phone. He acted as if I was disturbing him. I told him what took place and in stead of putting call on hold, he just put it down and told another employee what was going on and he guessed I really wanted the product!?!? Why would I buy something that I didn’t want? Whom ever he was talking to wasn’t much help. Some remarks were made and he told the person that he was talking to, “you tell them that” not totally clear but it was something like I was a big bother.Please understand 1. We are senior citizens and on fixed income so every dollar counts2. I am a cancer patient and I just can’t run back and forth to grocery store. I do disappointed with the service I got tonight.

I shop here daily and almost always have a great shopping experience. The staff is pleasant and typically always willing to help. They run good deals on drinks and sometimes on meats, even though i wish they had fresh meat and not prepackaged. Produce is great too.

Standard Food Lion. Bought a rack of beef here, but opened at home and the meat had turned. They did give us our money back.

when I say things and prove I want to make sure that I inform and recant my old reviews. So it's only fair. Food Lion has been exceptional lately when I go in. They seem to have their stalking order now and they have remodeled and everything seems to run smoothly. I like their meat more than anybody's and it's always cheaper but it's a good quality.Old review:Sometimes here lately they are out of a lot of stuff like they don't have any help. Other than their high prices, it is a good store and convenient.

The store is nice and clean. The aisles are not marked for covid flow patterns. They are marked in NC stores, but people don't always follow the directions. Prices are higher than NC Food Lion stores so I only shop here if necessary. Some of the locals still don't wear masks..Guess they don't care
