This review is for the store part of Walgreens, not the pharmacy (I go somewhere else for my medication). I come to Walgreens for the buy-one-get-one-free deals on gummy supplements. That amount of gummies for a great price keeps me well-stocked at home for a few months at a time. Every time I've been there, the aises have been clean and organized. I've needed to ask the staff once or twice to help me find something and I was pleased with the assistance each time. The location of right off Elden St. on a corner, which is convenient to find. The parking lot is pretty big and has two entrances (one on each street), with plenty of spaces usually available

The walgreens overall is pretty good. My only complaint is their horrid pharmacy. Whenever I get a prescription sent there, I have to constantly call and remind them and ask about the status of my prescription. One time, they told me that my prescription will be ready in 20 minutes. So I went to the pharmacy 20 minutes later and was told that my prescription isn't ready to be filled for another few days. The phone lines are always super busy and the staff that answer the phone are unbelievably slow; almost like it's all the staffs first day on the job. I would recommend going to My Dr's Pharmacy in the Herndon Centre right down the street near the panera bread. It is super fast and I've had a WAY better experience there than at this Walgreens.

I love this pharmacy! Nicole, Addison, and the pharmacy techs go above and beyond to make sure that my family and I have access to our prescriptions. This is one of the busiest pharmacies around, so I am always impressed by their efficiency and kindness.

On our way back from Herndon, stopped by a Walgreens and decided to shop there rather than driving to our Ashburn location. First Tuesday of the month so AARP 20% off non-sale items. We found what we were looking to buy and quick exit out of the store. To get back on the main road you do have to drive a bit around since no u turns are allowed.

I was at Store on December 24, 2023 at about 9 pm . Looking for Folic Acid Tablets. I asked for help in finding it, the gentleman who claimed to be Manager, did not find it and mentioned that may be we stopped carrying it any more and if i need i can order online. I told him its regular medication , then he said the company changes its strategies at six months and may be available in future. I went to nearby CVS and it was available there.

I’m not sure why this location is getting low stars. I went there 3 times, 1 for a shot and twice to pick up prescriptions and everything was relatively quick and smooth, despite a relatively high volume of customer. No issues here.

This review is specifically about the pharmacy department at this location. The pharmacy manager is in dire need of serious training. I feel the pharmacy manager, Nicole, was not 100% honest and got frustrated because I tried to bring it to her attention. She should learn how to listen and not talk over customers by siting legalities, policies, and argue her prescriptive. She clearly had an adult temper tantrum because her listening skills are inadequate. I switched all of my prescriptions to My Dr's Pharmacy in Herndon. They have a 4.6 Google review and after speaking with the Pharmacist there I can see why. He is amazing. He gave me all of the time I required, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and I did not feel like I was being schlepped off or a nuisance. Lastly, to end on a positive, Brent, the General Manager at Walgreens, did impress me because he did follow up about my questions. Good luck with staying in business and keeping your job, Nicole. I know you're right, in that, there are better pharmacies to give my business. **Any response to my review, other than thank you, will be disingenuous and an attempt to justify poor behaviors**

Been coming here for a year, refilling 3-4 times. I have a problem with my order every time with this pharmacy. The first time I filled I was told my prescription was filled and never was, ended up waiting another day and some change to get it. Second time I got a refill, the lady was rude on the phone trying to correct my pronunciation of Escitalopram as if it made a damn difference. The past two times I got an “unable to fill prescription” error through the app despite having refills available. This time, I processed my refill, got a notification it was received, then it was never filled. So I sent another order, received, same thing, not filled. So I called and was able to talk to someone but am worried it still won’t be ready tomorrow when I needed it 3 days ago. Very unorganized and unprofessional for a pharmacy. Luckily I have extra pills because I cannot go a single day without my medication. Unfortunately my insurance only covers prescriptions through Walgreens so switching isn’t an option.

Do not get your prescriptions here if you can avoid it. The drive thru option is great but I just witnessed the pharmacist pick her nails for 5 minutes upon opening at 9am. She looked at me and stepped back to hide herself from view after seeing me watch her. This place is so busy that waiting in a line of 10 people with 2 kids is impossible, then they send you numerous texts to pickup or they'll cancel your prescription. The actual store is nice and always clean which is why I gave them 2 stars and not 1.

Updating this Google review. At the very least, the staff is disorganized, but today, they got caught up in a lie.Every month, it takes 2-3 different calls to get prescriptions refilled...on Tuesday, I was told my refill would be ready today. My app updated the status they were filling it (and my app says it was filled as well.) I spoke to someone this afternoon and was told it'd be ready in about 20 minutes. They called me back a few minutes later and said they didn't have it and had no clue when I could get a refill.I asked why I was told two different times my prescription would be ready today and no one would give me a straight answer. The store manager tried to gaslight me and said they never had it in stock, which was a lie because the pharmacist told me on Tuesday they'd just gotten supply.Last month, I had issues getting my birth control filled, and when asked about that, Brandon, the store manager, said "it's rare." Funny, the last 175 times I'd gotten it filled at my old Walgreens, it was never an issue. Insane. Safe your doctor and yourself the headache and go to pretty much any other Walgreens... I grew up in Rockville and both Walgreens out there are a hike, but their staff is honest and competent.

I went in to talk to the pharmacy manager about a prescription mix up. I was not happy and was very concerned about the wrong meds being given to the wrong person. The pharmacy manager wasn't working, but the store manager was. I don't remember his name, but he is a very tall man. He was very understanding. He listened to me. He went into the pharmacy and talked to the staff immediately. The pharmacist was very apologetic. They both were concerned and corrected everything on the spot.Human errors happen. As a customer I felt very heard and respected, so I will never hold this mix up against the staff there.The store manager handled the whole thing professionally and swiftly. I respect that.

The woman in front of my in line was there to pick up a prescription and buy pills for motion sickness. In order to better service her they performed an innovative therapeutic treatment where she, along with all the other customers waiting in line, were left completely motionless for more then half an hour while the staff struggled to help a single customer.I think this was a brilliant an innovative treatment however I dont understand the benefits of the experimental medicine I received where they told me the prescription I was called to pick up had never been filled then asked me to wait for an additional 15 minutes while they filled out the wrong prescription.

Summary: I got a COVID NAAT rapid test at this Walgreens. They lied on the phone that my results were negative but when I asked why I never got an email, they later admitted that they NEVER RAN THE TEST!Full Story: I scheduled a COVID NAAT rapid test and flu test at this Walgreens location. After booking, I realized I had a large copay for the flu test so I called and asked them if I could just do the COVID test instead - they said yes. I showed up to my appointment and swabbed for the COVID test. Walgreens says you will receive results by email within 2 hours.The next day (22 hours after the test), I called the pharmacy to ask why I never received an email with my results. The technician told me my results were negative. (Spoiler alert: THIS WAS A LIE. Also, she never asked for my date of birth before sharing the results, which is A VIOLATION OF HIPAA.) She told me there was a mix-up so they couldn't send me an email verification.I asked to speak to the pharmacist in charge. Apparently, the technician processed my swab as a flu test rather than a COVID test. But since I had cancelled my order for a flu test, the results were not shared with me. The pharmacist admitted that the COVID test had never been run and the results were "pending" rather than "negative". I informed her that the technician had lied about my results and the pharmacist just responded that the technician is in training. She told me it would not be possible at this point to run the test and so I had to return to the pharmacy for a new test.NEVER GO TO THIS WALGREENS PHARMACY. The 2-star rating is well-deserved since it is the most incompetently run pharmacy I have ever been too. They will lie to you, mix up your tests, and violate HIPAA.

Avoid this location for anything pharmacy-related! I'm not sure if it's a training issue or what, but what should've been a quick vaccine appointment ended up being an hour affair, and I chose to leave without getting the vaccine. They had no record of me having filled out my info online, could not accept what I had printed off from THEIR instructions, and could not add me to the system. I've had an easy time at other Walgreens locations, so I think it's just this one.

They typically leave you on hold for 10-15 minutes when you try to call and then they hang up before you ever get to talk to someone. This has happened to me almost every time I’ve called them ocre the past 4 months. They didn’t have my prescription ready at the drive through today so they simply told me to go to the back of the line. Time to find a new pharmacy because this one is consistently very bad.

So my wife had to get an emergency refill on a prescription to prepare for a medical procedure. Generally this isn't a big deal, but we spent 40 minutes on the phone waiting for someone to pick up stating that "There is one caller ahead of us" for about 10 minutes, and then another 30 saying "Someone will be with you". When my wife explained the situation calmly and asked to get a refill, the lady said "Well we don't have it, and you probably shouldn't wait until the last minute and be more responsible." While we understand this isn't the best of circumstances, the lady who answered the phone was incredibly rude and degrading. Plus, we initially picked this prescription up a month ago to prepare for it. This was an emergency and we were asking for help.The lady was absolutely terrible and seemed like she didn't even want to try and help. When we asked if any other locations had any, she said "Maybe, but they close at 8". We had to at least try so we asked her to please see, and she did not provide info, only that we needed to call other places to check.Thanks for the wonderful customer service. Really appreciate showing us where we really stand when we are in a desperate bind. The lady should not be dealing with customers if she is going to act like that.I generally try my best to let things slide, but we cannot wait until we find another pharmacy that seems to care for their customers and not belittle them when they are at their most vulnerable. I get they have bad days, and so do customers, but that lady (never gave us her name, coincidentally) went over the line in terms of how she talks to people.

Do not use this pharmacy under any circumstances. One of the pharmacy techs actively intimidates and bullies people trying to pick up prescriptions. Memorizes phone numbers and names and encourages other employees to hang up on them and not answer their questions. Not to mention, takes them a whole day to fill a simple prescription. I transferred my prescriptions to CVS and never once had this issue. Completely unprofessional, prejudiced, and unacceptable behavior.

Have gone there for vaccinations/prescriptions several times. Over the past 6 mos. or so, checking in for flu/COVID/etc. vaccines has taken an incredibly long time even though we register on-line. They have one person at the window, and everyone in line seems to have insurance coverage problems. We won't be going back to this Walgreens because we simply don't have hours to waste waiting in line.

This staff at the pharmacy is incompetent, more than one occasion Nicole the evening pharmacist is extremely rude and has no empathy for the customers that visit here. Telling my to come back in 15 minutes to “fill” a prepackaged dose of albuterol that was sent by my dr 8 hours prior.I see the Managing Pharmacist Nicole, making hand gestures to each other signaling customers are “dumb”. There is a window, we can see you.Will start taking my business elsewhere. Which I am sure that is good news for them.

I'm a patient and understanding person IMO, but this pharmacy has me at my wits' end and I'm going to transfer my prescription ASAP. Don't be like me and think, "This low Google Review star rating is probably just angry people, I'm sure my experience will be fine." IT WILL NOT BE FINE. They will be obtuse and try to not let you use GoodRx coupons to save $100, and not understand that you want the generic drug to save money, not the brand name. You WILL lose at least 2 hours of your life waiting in line each time you want to pick up a prescription (in-person and drive thru, wait is the same slow hell). Save yourselves and go elsewhere for your pharmacy needs. 1 star because it's still a convenient place to run and grab a snack or toothpaste when you're in a pinch.

Expect to wait at least an hour in line and be told your prescription from the day before yesterday and it will take them 45 minutes. Be prepared to come back in 1.5 hours and it's still not ready after you spent another half hour in line. They'll only do their jobs if you shame them with your several hours and attempts to fill a basic rx that they don't even have to count (z-pak, inhaler, etc.) and they take pity on you. I have no clue what happened to this place as you used to be able to go through the drive through and get your stuff in a timely fashion. Never go here.

This Walgreen services is awful I don’t know why the store manager or district manager they don’t see the reviews none of them has good reviews. The store service is horrible waiting time is horrible and if you call forget about everything you need at least 2 hours to contact with them. Employees pick up the phone and then they put you on hold again this happened several time before someone answers the phone

Ok customer service, the cashier was very slow and took 4 minutes to scan one item. The store was organized well, l didn't go to the pharmacy, so I can't say anything about that.The options, over the counter items, foods, and household stuff are almost the same as other similar chains, and about the same price of the competitors, though I personally prefer CVS.

Terrible! I scheduled an appointment online for a regular vaccine (not Covid related). I got a confirmation email. I tried calling the pharmacy before going but hung up after waiting 45 minutes with no one answering. When I got there, I waited 10 minutes at the front desk only to be told they were out of ALL vaccines (every type) becuase their fridge was broken. When I asked to speak with the pharmacist, someone else came over and said it wasn't their fault because it is their IT system. Ok, but why don't they contact their regional management about the system schedule appointments for a specific vaccine when the vaccine is out of stock? When I asked if they could call another Walgreens to see if they had it in stock, I was told no they are tol bsuy. I then asked for the regional office number to complain and was told they aren't allowed to give that information! And then, to top it off, I looked down and saw a huge roach wriggling on the floor. Disgusting environment and appalling lack of customer service.

I used to use for all my prescriptions, but in past year plus the performance of the pharmacy and the customer service has firmly gone into the toilet. I am feverishly working to move all but the most urgent prescriptions to mail order, and plan to end the relationship with them in the near future. The days of waiting for 30 minutes on hold to talk to someone are over...having someone pick up the phone and immediately put it on hold, are over, the screw-ups (updates to info not properly recorded) are over. I had already moved some of the 'tricky' prescriptions to Giant at North Point, which is an improvement even without a drive through.

Never had an experience like this before. Took 6 hours to get a prescription filled. When i called to see if it was going to be filled today since it had passed the time they told me it would be ready they said yes and hung up on me. When picking up at the drive thru the person never said one word to me. Worse customer service ever!¡! Will never use this location again.

Worst pharmacy ever. The couldn’t read the dosage on my adhd rx and I came back 2 days later, wait in like for 20 min to find this out. When I asked why they decided to not call me or the Dr to fix the problem, all I got was a shrug. The pharmacist always goes over his lunch break and I had to wait an extra 17 min to get my meds released to me. I saw all this expired makeup to an employee with yellow hair and she put them all back up on the shelf. These Maybelline 24 hour were over a year expired and were curdled with oil floating at the tops. I went to but cat food and this lady was stuffing shampoo bottles in her back and nobody noticed bc the 3 young employee were all one isle over just chatting it up. I can’t even imagine what their losses look like each month. The only good worker they have is the older grey haired man who has been there forever. I will never spend another dollar there until something changes
