I have been going to this store for more then 20 years.I like the store and most of the staff are helpful and friendly but this manager called Tina is the worst person you can deal with uncouth, unfriendly least helpful and just the worst attitude of any person in the whole store.She closes one side of the store at 8pm but there are no signs indicating that the doors will close at 8pm. When l asked her why, without looking up her response was "l will tell the manager" where as l know she is the manager and then added they have been closing at 8 for a number of months and as if l am supposed to know that.In the past she has shown the same side was extremely rude to my wife also and l had to step in and put her in her place.I wonder why they have a person like that working at nice place like that.

Good location and very good store . Good parking facilities. They have very good/fresh veggies and fruits .. they also have other household items . They have bakery items … breads / bagels etc… a little pricey but good for one time shopping . I was visiting Herndon and went to this shop. Liked it overall …

20240411 Wow! I need to shop here more and walk down every aisle. I found some gravy and things that I have never seen before!!20230510 They have a nice selection if beef jerky... including grass fed, organic, no sugar for diabetes.I shop at this Giant mostly when I need to use their pharmacy. The employees at this Giant including those at the pharmacy are very helpful and professional. What I love about this pharmacy is that I would get a text message informing me that my prescription is ready. So convenient! Today, I was looking for chicken/turkey meatballs and pasture raised eggs, and was surprised that this Giant has both! I recently read that the Cage Free Nellie's eggs are not humanely raised eggs. Their chickens are cage free but they are couped up in a large enclosed trailer like housing with little room to move and no sunshine and fresh air. Very disappointed to learn that. If you care about where your eggs come from, cage free simply means the chickens are not in chicken cages. Buy "pasture raised" eggs where the chickens get to go outdoor. I like that this Giant are expanding it's products to include those for the customers who are health conscious and care about how the farm animals are raised. Thanks!!!

Clean and we'll kept grocery store. They have a great variety in the bakery and the salad bar is pretty good. The olive and antipasto bar is a nice addition also. I buy the sushi, I think it is very good, but I don't consider myself a sushi conniseur.

They purposely make you walk the entire store looking for bread. Of course it's in the pharmacy. I'll continue shopping at Wegmans and Wholefoods. When desperate the local Safeway for bread. Costco puts paper towels in the back of store. I'm good with that but their bread is not in the pharmacy.

This was our local Giants years ago when we lived in Herndon. After a doctors visit across the street I stopped in to pick up some Tylenol. It’s a different set up than our Ashburn Village location but easy to find and the self checkout was good. ThE PNC Bank was being renovated so closed except for the ATM.

I LOVE GIANT!!!!! Everything there is soo yummy and good, and I love going there. You can find anything there so it is amaaazing, It is my favorite place in the whole world!!!!

I am usually not a fan of Giant stores. But this one is EXCEPTIONALLY well managed. Clean, organized, bright, lots of variety, the Hot and Cold food selections is impeccable.Will come to more consistently.

Giant has reduced hours, even closed off one of their entrances and exits. What used to be great service is now average - the manager is always angry and appears offended - no reason. The good things -- store is clean, the product placement is usually predictable.

We need the old Giant back. They didn't think about disabled people when they had to shut the other door because of theft. Now there are 2 cashiers and you are forced to do self check-out, which is so far from where you parked. Did they THINK of disabled people? I THINK NOT.

I went to this store to get some products for my vending business which requires I pay sales tax directly to the state. The management team had not dealt with my specific situation before but they took great care to make sure they got it sorted out and were able to get me set up. It's a difficult process because every company has their own way of tracking this type of thing, and I really appreciate the time and effort they took to get me set up so I could have a smooth experience in the future. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this store. It's clean and neat and they care about training their associates well.

Their chicken wing bar is horrible. Everything tasted three days old....I can't reply to the reply so I'm editing the post to do so.I find this reply to be a typical canned response to a complaint like this. So it doesn't mean much to me. This Giant has been in this location for years as far as I know. So why do you need to improve? You should already be improved.I came in a little after 6 pm. Well, it was 7:07 pm when I checked out according to the receipt. This is dinner time and the time when one would expect the food to be fresh for dinner. It's not like I was there at 3 am.My brother lives in the area but I don't so it won't be until next year when I visit again that I might try Giant. Maybe that means you don't really care what I think because I'm not a regular customer.I wish I had taken pictures before I threw out the food to show how bad it was.Some of the items I selected were mozzarella sticks and orange chicken nuggets. When you bite into a mozzarella stick you expect the inside of the deep fried breading to be full of cheese and soft and warm and gooey. Instead mine were hard and only about 1/3 full. One of then was the proper color of mozzarella cheese. The other was orange. I don't think you would use cheddar cheese to make mozzarella sticks so I have to wonder how long it took for the cheese to change color??? The chicken nuggets were as tough as leather and the orange sauce was as sticky as I'm not sure what kind of glue.

Give a Zero if I could! Worst discrimination experience I’ve ever had!!! Mahmood the Department Lead and Tajul refused to provide services to my husband and I when purchasing a money order. My husband is a black man who was using his Debit Cashapp Card. Mahmood instantly judged the personal modification design that Cashapp offers their customers, and said to my husband “I can’t service your request because it didn’t show his “4-digit PIN number” on the card” my husband confirmed that a debit should not display a persons PIN number. My husband informed Mahmood that it shows his account number, name, CVV, chip, and expiration date as well as the name of the bank. My husband provided his government issued ID for further proof. Mahmood continued to ignore my husband, my husband asked for a manager, Mahmood’s response was he us the manager, then went on to call security via telephone instead of calling his store manager. You could Mahmood saying “yea, the card is green and has different designs” I asked Tajul when was the second shift manager scheduled to come in he said there will not be a store manager there today. I asked the both of them for their policy regarding Money Orders. Mahmood directed me to the Western Union Policy posted at the Customer Service Desk. I was able to confirm that the only form of payment that could NOT be used to purchase a money order was ApplePay, Samsung Pay or Gift Cards. *PLEASE SEE ATTACHED PROOF OF POLICY BELOW* The worst part is that Mahmood and Tajul would not talk to us or cooperate with us. IT WAS LIKE TALKING TO A WALL. With customer’s walking by hearing us plead with them to please provide service or respond, it felt humiliating and discriminatory. We felt hopeless. We called Western Union, Giant Corporate office for confirmation of their policy and both businesses confirmed that the policy states what we already discovered. We called the police unfortunately there was nothing they could do. We were forced to leave without any response, resolution, humiliated, and hurt by this experience. However I will be taking this to social media with our video and filing a lawsuit!!! Nobody deserves to be treated this way. This will never happen to anyone again!!

Local upscale grocery chain with a super convenient location. I also really appreciate the fact that they're open until midnight. The quality of items are great, but the prices are exorbitant. I mean I'm talking about some of the most expensive groceries that I've ever seen. Looking at things that I bought such as yogurt or milk, they are almost always $2 to $3 more expensive than any other grocery chain in the area. I still will shop here because of the convenience of the location, but I basically only come here if I absolutely have to.

The store is clean and service is good but be sure to check your product expiration dates. They consistently leave expired items on the shelves. It’s frustrating!

New review: It is now a two stars instead of three stars. Why two stars? The cashiers (young people) are not displaying positive vibes.Old review from one year ago: This location of Giant Food is alright. Good discount deals from time to time (but sometimes the price tag how long the discount deal may have expired long ago). Sometimes customer (not the staff) place the wrong item incorrect area.

Been coming here since I grew up in a nearby neighborhood. Reliable & good quality and selection, which is easier to access and navigate since they remodeled years ago. The customer service is fine, cashiers are nice. I've seen a few of the same employees there for (probably) a couple of decades now, and they're also always nice and helpful.

Customer service is wonderful and consistent! Everyone is helpful and friendly during my weekly shopping visits. However I was not pleased to find expired food on several occasions. I returned it, and I know it was addressed promptly, but wanted to warn everyone to check their food expirations dates before you put anything in your cart.

It's always clean. Staff is pleasant. They have a large natural food selection. They have a whole natural food aisle with energy bars, nuts, and more exclusive items. Their produce always looks good. Their in-store tortilla chips were tasty.

Nice supermarket. Clean and well stocked. Could use more help in the specialty areas (deli, bakery, etc) Long waits there. UPDATE 3/22. No significant changed to store.. Many screens and barriers being removed. UPDATE 11/22: Mostly back to pre-pandemic routine. Some barriers still up. And staff is masked.

Previous review: Most of their stuff is great but they were completely out of Giant brand raisin bread today for some bizarre reason. They said they don't make it every day >:( That was specifically what I came here for. Now I have to go to another Giant to get it.Today: they had raisin bread and challah. And a customer had her little white dog with her (walking, on a leash). Although I adore dogs and have one, I'm pretty sure they don't belong in food stores unless they're service dogs. This was not a service dog. If I'm wrong, please let me know and I'll bring my dog over for a shopping run.

Very clean and organized. They just revamped their style, which was a good move on their part. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. There are always numerous cashiers, and there are self check out stations. A trip here will be convenient and quick.

The tire shop is not your 5 star service center however does the job pretty well!!!I called them and got my car towed there and the guys changed the tire with an old tire(looked decent and almost as new as my all other tires) for $100 which is a fair price considering i was going to spend $300+ for a new tire but all other tires being old!!!! And all of that in probably 15-20 mins not more than that!!! Definitely recommend!!!

My friends and I were in the store and my leg was really hurting. So we decided to go in a car and you know for fun we will do one of the special carts. And we were doing a movie night so we were planning on spending about 50$ on candy so once we found it we went to go see if there was any chips we wanted ( we also didn’t have the candy with us) and we couldn’t find the chips so we were looking for it and this lady goes “get off the cart and leave. We weren’t doing anything bad and we just instead of buying $50 of food we bought 3$ worth of candy. And she lost a costumer and was very disrespectful.

This location is like home base. Since most of my grocery shopping is done online now, i don't go as much but when I do this the same predictable Giant with the same friendly recognizable cast. The PNC branch is open late so I often pop in for banking. Great auxiliary stores too.

This is my local neighborhood supermarket. They always have what I need to make do , but not always what I want or I'm looking for. Great for middle of the week stops or last minute dinner. The new deli setup is bizarre: I do not like to buy pre-cut meats and cheeses.
