I would never go back to this Petco for grooming services again! I would have rather them tell me they didn’t want to do the service for my dog then to have him look like this! It’s not like they don’t over look your pet before service to not know what they are about to deal with not to mention he’s small and is still a puppy I got the run around about blades and this and that , that has to be used when shaving your pup but yet there was no issue sending him out looking like he was apart of a circus you shaved his body and didn’t even have the common decency to at least give him a bath an gave him back to me as is with hair falling all off of him my baby looks ridiculous then to tell me I need to go to a professional “vet groomer “ so they would be able to groom him so what exactly is petco then?? Because i clearly signed paper work stating that if he was to get cut during service that y’all had permission to take him over to y’all on-site vet worse experience don’t bring your fur baby here! I got him home gave him a bath clipped him down not much because I don’t know what I’m doing but that’s all they had to do instead of give me some crazy story then gonna recommend me to go go another groomer and offer me to come back after he goes elsewhere I wish I thought never again !

It was the first time I visited this store. The sales person I spoke with was great! She was pleasant, thoughtful and extremely helpful. I made a point to tell her and to someone that said he would relate it to her supervisor. You need a lot more like her! Thanks.

I had the great pleasure of encountering Miles in the store, who helped me find all of the many items I needed. Without this individual, my experience would have been wholly lackluster and hardly worth venturing out from underneath Bezos. In my experience, it is hard to find knowledgeable, friendly staff who are willing to be so very helpful! Kudos to you.

One gentleman with long hair (didn’t catch any names lol sorry) directed me to a clearance section where I found exactly what I needed for an incredible discount. And the lovely cashier with purple hair was super awesome. She asked about my pup, tried to direct me to more stuff I might like, and commented on my purse that I crocheted myself :) awesome visit.

Customer service was awesome! The groomer really cared. This Petco on Parham is the best, actually All Petco groomers are great. I've used two locations And both are wonderful!

Went in today to return two items that I had purchased for my dog however my dog died before I got to use them. The manager on duty would not give me a refund or even a store credit since I didn't have my receipt. To quote him" You could put them on Facebook MarketPlace to sell" I will just go to PetSmart for any future pet needs. I would have put a zero rating but one was as low as I could post.

The ONLY reason I took my dog here was because of Dr. Zoghby's awesome care when I was suddenly responsible for an elderly dog hours previous to my first visit. Today, it was Dr. Germane working instead... Whomp, whomp! Very peculiar affect...Crude and bizarre which coincides with her personal regimen.

If I could leave 0 stars I would! I paid more than $70 for this?!! I deliberately asked the groomer NOT to touch her ears! She has this uneven piece just chopped off on one ear, I am LIVID! I asked for her NOT to be shaven down and she was. I cannot believe they returned my dog looking like this! She looked a million times better before her haircut. I had a wonderful experience before with Tiffany but she was not in today so they assigned Emmanuel for her grooming. I chose the holiday package which included a bandanna, did not receive one. It also included cinnamon spritz which would have her coming out smelling of Christmas and she does not! I paid for that service and did not receive it! My husband picked her up so I just saw her when she got home, I have called them and there has been no answer. I will never take my dog here again if they will do whatever they want and not follow what has been asked for. Save your money and don’t put your pet through such a horrendous haircut! I would have done a much better job!Update: I took her back to try to fix it since Christmas is this Saturday. Will was very helpful and apologetic. He tried to even out the horrible cut. I truly appreciate him but there was not much he could do. I did not receive a refund and am very unhappy with the entire situation.

Today, Luki and Laylie went to get their vaccinations done and then he got microchipped. Everybody there at Petco was great. Today they were having cat adoptions.And the vet at this facility works out of Virginia Beach and lives over here in the Richmond , VA area.Affordable vaccinations.My local vet was going to charge me $160 per cat and an extra $40 to get Luki microchipped.I went to VETCO AT PETCO I got all their vaccines so they could be boarded if needed for both and microchip for Luki all for $185.00This was so well worth it.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE..

The staff here were incredible. They gave freely of their time and went above and beyond in helping us and fulfilling our requests. (e.g., Ian built our birdcage while we were shopping for other items). Very impressed with the customer service.

I asked the sales associate who rang me up to verify if an item I bought was on sale and she gave me a snarky remark, "I love it when people ask me that after I hit total". I spent over $100 at this store. Maybe she can show a little more respect than that. Please train your staff to show respect to customers. I'm willing to drive to a further location to not have to experience that again.

Lulu loves it. But I did find that by comparison prices are much higher here than other alternatives. Although when I calculate the convenience of also having a groomer, trainer and vet available all in one place just the gas savings alone balance the difference.

CHAD at the Parham Rd Petco in Richmond, VA was MORE than willing to help my daughter and I out as we shopped for our new kitten. I've been a dog owner my whole life so didn't know where to begin. He spent his time educating us and helping us pick out a scratching post, non-clumping cat litter, kitten food, litter boxes, toys, etc. He did all this with a huge smile on his face, never once seemingly annoyed with me despite my tons of questions. Thanks, Chad!

I am a new dog mommy and needed to prepare for Simba. The sales lady was very kind. The store is nicely stocked and clean. Also, the cashier was helpful.

I wish I could give the store on Pahram Rd zero stars. This incident happened back in March but I just called and the manager Chad is still employed after what I believe he did was profile my husband and I. We had just adopted a puppy and it was our first time ever shopping at that store. We purchased over $100 worth of items. Then we went to the Walmart and found a few things we wanted instead so we bought those and wanted to return some of the Petco items. This all happened within 30 minutes. We go into the Petco store and they REFUSE to refund us regardless of us being within the return policy and having a receipt. They claimed that due to using a Chime Debit card they could not process the refund. Chad was very rude and not helpful. He said all he could do was give a store credit and that I had to contact their phone customer service which was FALSE. And he knew that online orders couldn’t help me he was trying to brush me off. He hung up on me several times. I called the phone customer service and they said it had to be handled in the store. Again Chad refused to help us. I finally went to another store and to my surprised they helped me within SECONDS and processed the refund to our card with ZERO issues. I asked them why Chad gave me a hard time and they said they didn’t know but told me how to process a debit card you have to hit cancel because you cannot process a debit refund as a debit but only as a credit. So he was wrong all along and instead of calling another store or asking someone else so that he could help us, he made our lives MISERABLE! I called that store back to give them the feedback on how to process the return so that h this would not happen to any other customer, he literally REFUSED to come to the phone. Had me on hold for 20 minutes and then told the employee to lie and say he was in a meeting at 830 at night. He knew it was me on the line because I had explained to the employee and he literally just did not want to help me. I had requested the general manager to call me and after WEEKS they finally called and o told her what happened but I could tell there would be no repercussions for the manager Chad. I am livid this man still has a job. I highly encourage everyone to shop a different store for your fur babies. If you absolutely need to shop Petco, shop the short pump store. Shame on the general manager for not firing him when he clearly seemed to be profiling us. I have never EVER heard of a store doing this to people. I’m sure that would never happen to someone who was a non-poc. I should sue this company because it really was a huge ordeal. Matter of fact, I may look into suing because technically I am still within statute. I want him fired. If I call back and he is still employees, I am seeking legal advice.

I like that you can take your pet there for all their shots. And they have a fold out paper listing all the prices to do different services for your pet. I never saw this list before. But the nice cashier gave me one when I asked questions about pet services.

Sales Associate who checked me out was the most pleasant, helpful, and courteous young man I’ve ever encountered probably in any store- not just Petco. His name was Myles. I was there at about 4:30pm on 7/4.There’s are 2 stores closer to my home. I went to this one because according to the website it had what I needed. I will continue to visit this store because of Myles.

Do not let this lady cut your dogs hair. She nearly choked my dog out, his eyes were bulging and bright red when we picked him up. She didn’t finish him claiming he snipped at her, literally impossible he is a trained service dog. I demanded they take him back in, her coworker did my dog in front of me without one issue. My dog sat there calmly, yes during the hair dryer he was squirming around and scared some but NEVER snapped. And there was no reason for his hair not to be cut. I highly suggest Petco put some cameras in their grooming areas. I do not doubt that my dog was mistreated by the way he was acting after leaving and his bright red bulging eyes. He gets a cut often never have had any complaints.

I have never heard of employees turning down a fur baby because of their age. A loyal and faithful customer at that all because simply they didn’t want to groom her. Shawna and Emmanuel needs to find a job where their hearts are really in it and it shows our fur babies is just a check to them. On top of it poor customer services and extremely rude. I don’t know if that’s how the store is ran and that may be the reason they can’t keep people employed there. I would take them babies elsewhere with love and affection

I went in looking for food for my turtle. I was surprised to find that not only did they have turtle food they also had turtles food supplements. I spoke with an associate who was very helpful in explaining what everything was and why my turtle might need them. Best selection and help from any pet store.

The reason this store is always closed and understaffed is because the district leader runs everybody out of the store. The groomers will send dogs home, not accept certain dogs because that is what the district leader is pushing for. She is always watching them on the cameras making sure they follow policy to the T, do not be upset with them they are just trying to keep their jobs! She is unfair, unreasonable and treats the employees terribly. Once she is relieved of her position the store, and all surrounding stores would go back to normal! I don’t know what else it’s going to take for Petco to realize this?

Wanted a hair cut for my dog cause she sheds a lot. Told me no they dont trim short hairs, but they had something they could do to help and it would cost less. I said ok. I thought g they must have an electric brush or some such. 3hrs later, dogs done, got bill, payed bill, 10 dollars more then hair cut. Thought well if they brushed her for 3 hr, id be worth it. Got dog. Toe nails trimed, maybe washed? Tail still dirty. Shedding like mad. I'm like, why? I'm told they put a chemicals on her to make the hair fall out. 4 days later, my poor dog is covered in hives and now shedding in small chunks. 2 weeks ish now, hives are gone the last of the scabs are falling out along with Lil bundles of hair, and she's still shedding. Be aware, ask more questions. Assuming others know pink skined dogs are almost always hypoallergenic, my bad.

I amso upset. I walked in to get my dog a nail trim one day. Unfortunately there was a note posted that they are short staffed and not open today. So I booked him a grooming appointment for today. This morning I receive a phone call from a female groomer stating that she wanted to discuss the notes I but with his pre check in. My dog is only 1 years old. So after having a conversation with this woman I decided to cancel the service. I wasn't comfortable with taking my dog there. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere.

I took my 6mth old dog to her first grooming appointment today and I couldn’t be more pleased with the service. Shauna was her groomer and before we left my pup was so interested in playing with her, this to me is a great sign. She smells amazing and her nails are perfectly cut. Definitely recommend.

I wanted to personally thank the entire staff and specially these individuals (Rachel, Marilyn-Dog Trainer, and Joanne-Dog Trainer, Courteney-Santa/Cashier) for all your recommendations to us being proud new dog owners of yorkie-poo name Ziggy. If anyone is looking for a friendly and passionate staff that loves what they do this is the location for you.Also, thank you for having the “Puppy Picture with Santa”.
