Although the building is outdated and looks old, they have done a good job of trying to maintain.I don't like the pricing strategy of digital coupons along with prices with card, more often than not a trip will have to be made to the service register to fix the prices or mostly just ignore and pay higher.Fairness in pricing should be promoted rather than as I would put it, deceptive pricing.

I enjoy shopping at Kroger because they have a lot of the products that I wish to buy. I like their milk and I like their bakery. I like the fact that they seem to have all the medications that I need. I also get my prescriptions from them and have always been very pleased with their service.

Not sure what's going on but the store isn't very poor condition as of late. Might be a staffing issue. I know prices have gone up everywhere, but this Kroger was extremely expensive. Staff was pretty disengaged with customers. And it didn't seem like they were set up for business on a Sunday morning. They were only a couple of apartments that looked relatively decent produce and the floral department. All other departments Bakery, a d Deli in particularly. The interior the store grocery Dairy, frozen food, all half empty shelves, and look like they were in need of a good stocking.

Went in December 23 to purchase items for Christmas dinner. My mom and I nicely inquired about the price and was immediately met with an attitude by the guy watching the self checkouts. Saying “he does the price checking so he would know what was supposed to be there” I asked him if he could see if there was a smaller Munster cheese, he said he would bring it back but brought back the wrong cheese. He then brings back the same cheese again. Then I asked him politely to just take the cheese off and he goes“ I could’ve done that from the start” and when I got upset and told him to watch his attitude and he didn’t need to be nasty, he goes “it’s not that serious oh my god”. I try to be generous year round, but especially during the holidays towards retail and grocery workers, however please vet out who you hire so customers are not met with negativity and attitude and feel like they are intruding for asking for help, it’s your job!

I went grocery shopping. After you've done it a few times (thousands), it's hard to call it an "experience." You get it done. It's a chore, and chores aren't usually accompanied by special moments to remember.It's a Kroger which there are usually two types: bad and good. This one was good and still is.

I have 2 Krogers closer to me than this one but let me tell you a secret. I come to this one anyways to do my shopping. Firstly it is very clean, organized, well maintained, the workers seem happy. Hell even the Customers seem a lot more happy here and everyone is friendly. This is the best Kroger I have ever been to and I have gone to quite a few of them. Highly recommend coming here even if there is one closer to you, it is worth the drive.

My 1st time walking into a Kroger supermarket. Nice Wide isles, well lit and organized. Did a walkthrough and of all the employees i passed only one greeted me, the florest. I might as well been invisible. Darn forgot i had my invisibility cloak on, hate when that happens, ha ha. Prices look reasonable. Good prices on poultry. The fresh produce looked good and the bins were clean. Can't say the same for the bagged saled mixes. Check your dates things are close to sale date. Apart from that, oh wait theres a nice adult beverage section. Can't go wrong there

Most organized Kroger, after they all changed the aisles it became impossible to find anything but this store is different. Just put all kinds of sauce, condiments, dressings and stuff in the same aisle. It’s not that difficult!

This is my local Kroger which is always pleasant to me, but the reason for this five star review alone is for the young woman Tiffany who works in the bakery. I’m 9 months pregnant, due any day now, and trying to plan a 2nd birthday for my son. I ordered a cake with some decorations and some cupcakes for his party, I show up today to get the order to just be informed that it had been canceled due to not having someone in store to decorate.My heart sank, I’m already stressed to the max, the party is today, and I just start to cry. Tiffany instantly sympathized and tried to help me come up with a solution. She told me to pick any cake from the case, and she had a few cupcakes in the back to pick from. I grabbed a frozen cake from the case and chose a few cupcakes feeling instant relief. Was it what I ordered? No. Was I going to make it work? Absolutely. What touched me the most is Tiffany gave me a fat old hug, as if she could just see the stress on my tired momma face. She told me to meet her at customer service because they were going to handle the cake and cupcakes since my order was not ready and I had no cancellation call.When I get to customer service, store manager Jim is there clearly not happy that the cakes were offered to be comped. When I get to customer service there is no apology from Jim, no “hey so sorry we don’t have your order”, not even eye contact to me as the customer. Just stands there infront of me debating with Tiffany and customer service about “well, charge her full price this, charge her for these cupcakes, well we can do 50% yadda yadda.”Jim, as a manager you need to understand not every customer is coming in looking for something for free. I had every intention on paying for anything I left the store with today. But when I’m panicking the day of my sons birthday, and you have an amazing employee who made me feel human for being upset, and you follow it with “well you basically got everything you ordered…” no sir. I got a different cake, from your freezer, not even the same batter that I ordered, un-decorated cupcakes, it’s not at all what I ordered otherwise we wouldn’t be here, right? But it’s not about the money for me. It’s about customer service. And when you have someone in your store working with such compassion and sympathy for people, and you follow it up with not even being able to make eye contact or be apologetic for YOUR STORES mistake Mr. Manager? You should be ashamed of yourself.Thank you Tiffany for being such a sweet person in a really tough world right now. I’ll forever remember your kindness and help with my sons second birthday. Thank you.

Kroger pickup is convenient! Just make sure you have spent over 35 dollars to ensure it's free, and not charged for picking up groceries.

Had my first online order at this location. Overall ordering experience on the app was good. Easy to use. However I ordered green beans and it came only ONE individual green bean for $1.61. Two out of the 4 zucchini are bad. Very dissatisfied with the service and the produce quality. I wish I could post the pictures so people can see the green bean and zucchini

I love this location!! Neat, clean, well stocked. All the staff are always so eager to help. I want to give a BIG shout to Sean in the Meat and Fish Department. I had a special request and although he could have insisted I pick from items on display, he took the time to dig through the freezer and cut me a custom size piece of fish. You can tell he loves his job. Always smiling, happy to help. Thanks Sean, the fish was delicious!!! Recommend this location to everyone.

Had the worst grocery experience of my life yesterday. There was a man walking around the store asking people to pay for his groceries. At the register, I politely asked for the manager. As I was waiting for the manager, I saw the guy and pointed him out. At least four other customers in line said they had experienced the same thing. When the manager (Mike) arrived, he proceeded to tell me that I was as much in the wrong as the guy walking around the store soliciting customers. Short of an apology, I will NEVER return to this store at 9480 W. Broad St. I would encourage anyone I know to avoid this place. Too many other good options here in RVA to deal with such poor customer service.

Line on a weeknight for self checkout 30 people deep. Blocking the aisles. Had 2 items. When I went to customer service to complain about no cashiers, was told by management. "No one wants a job. Do you want to apply?" Um..no. I just wont come here again. Second time for this. No more.

My roommate and I went to this location since it is closest to our apartment. The self checkout is very difficult to use. Every time we put an item in the bagging area it would tell us we hadn’t done it.Before we even started scanning our items the employee at the self checkout was intensely monitoring us. We are visibly emo and dress accordingly, which is why we assume we were being watched so intensely. She continued to move closer and closer the entire time we were there. She went as far as accusing us of not scanning everything in our cart and stood directly over our shoulders to watch us.This is where we buy our groceries, so we will be coming back. Only leaving this review in hopes that other emos won’t have to experience this X(

One of my favorite grocery stores. Conveniently located (at least for me and others) besides Sam's Club. Overall a great grocery store with fresh meats, fresh produce, and more. Love their Simple Truth brand also for buying organic cereal, spaghetti sauces, and more at decent prices. This location also has a gas station which if you don't have a Sam's Club membership is your next best bet for cheapest gas in the area since they usually give 3 cents or more off gas.

Worst store ever. Went in to pick up money. Waited for 20 minutes in a line only for another employee to tell me the person that works pick up is only the register and it will be a very long time before they get to me. I will never spend another dime in this store. Horrible

This use to be my favorite Krogers to grocery shop but not anymore. Super long lines, they are always short staffed, especially on the weekends. If being short staffed is the case, the managers need to step up and work the registers. Honestly I will not be shopping at this location anymore!

Maintainance is not good, I see there is a water machine outside which is not working from more than 3 months and I dont see any card saying ‘out for order’. This is worst experience as I went see near the machine 3 times all way from my car.

Love what they serve. Amazing cheese cake and chocolate cake options. Only problem is the portions..sometimes I like a cake and it's only available in a big size only. They have an assortment of ice cream cake too that I haven't tried yet coz the cakes were too big. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. Prices are reasonable. I always come back

Over the past year they have relaid out the store to the most messed up layout you can imagine. On top of that, they are poorly stocked 90 percent of the time. Close by Publix is a better option, or Staples Mill Kroger a little further away.

It is nice to have one right where it is, when working on our storage unit, we can fill up on gas at fuel center and if during summer there are wasps we can get the spray from the store.

Worked here for 5 or 6 months then quit after management told me that I was "an inconvenience to them and the customers" due to my mental health struggle such as PTSD and depression... It completely ruined my Kroger experience and I haven't returned to this location since.
