I use this store often now . It’s clean the staff is helpful. The check out lines usually quick.. plus you get your discount if you sign up. Sometimes I find things cheaper than Walmart! Nicer produce department too..

The only non-independent grocery store in Northumberland County. If you live here, you shop here. Main complaint is that they sometimes need more employees on Friday afternoon-evenings, as the area swells with "come-heres" on the weekends. Gets a little backed up

Normally I love going grocery shopping here but today was not a good day. The aisles were packed with products waiting to be put away. The produce was not the best either. Someone really should check for mold because there was alot that had mold on it.

The only thing I do not see at this location that would otherwise be a normal service, is an ATM machine. I am unaware as to if this location provides a "money center", however they do provide cash back, va lottery machine, and a coinstar kiosk.Otherwise a very convenient and safe local grocery location, clean, and friendly staff

Cashiers and staff are friendly and helpful. You seldom wait in a checkout line.Produce is fresh and well stocked.They seem to have difficulty keeping the bread I like in stock. When I mentioned it to the staff I was told that even if they requested more, nobody listens. They get what they get.My real complaint is that while the meat department is typically well stocked, the quality not there. I travel a lot and shop in several states. It doesn’t matter how you prepare it, it’s tough. Even the more expensive cuts.I purchased two different packages labeled “Managers Special” took it home and put it in the freezer. Defrosted it a week later and when I opened the packages both were spoiled. It could not have been fresh when it was wrapped. That’s the last time I buy meat there.

For being the only grocery store around for miles and in a tiny little town, this Food Lion is really fantastic.The store is always clean, neat and organized. The staff are always friendly and ready to help out with no complaints.Prices are decent too, although they don't have as many specials as I like to see at a grocery store. Overall, great shopping experience to be had here.

Most convenient for me to use. Wish they would provide printed store directory guides like all the other area Food Kitties!!! Same make in-person shopping so much more convenient and time efficient. And you can use them as shopping lists between trips to the store. In my humble opinion it is just dumb not to provide printed store directory guides.

It's a smaller grocer. Its fruits and veggies & meats are fresher, better quality than Walmart. They do run out of my favorites sometimes. The neatness and positive atmosphere make up for its deficiencies. I'd love to see them take personnal order requests as we are quite a ways from most stores. It's difficult to get some items in the Northern Neck unless you are willing to drive to bigger stores in Richmond, Williamsburg, etc.

Monday evening store stocked well looked nice long checkout lines One full service cashier had to leave to help out customer service customer.I asked express cashier if she could take some other customers since only one lane was opened when she pointed to now hiring sign and said either wait or leave.I replyed That was not nice.The cashier hurried back and continued to help out.I thanked her for being polite and helpful!

Cashiers are quite pleasant, deli workers are fantastic, all other workers pleasant. Everyone that works at food lion speaks like they know you. What a wonderful place to shop at. I really enjoy coming to food lion in Heathsville Va

First time at a Food Lion just recently moved to Virginia and the closest grocery store is Food Lion. My trip to Food Lion was eventful and was impressed by the layout of the store and the products the they had for the consumer good husband more desirable as selections where Limited in some areas. For example the dairy section creamer's for the season could have been more appropriate . Such as pumpkin spice, coconut cream,etc.I noticed they had the basic creamers Hazel hazelnut then French vanilla but not a variety. Just pumpkin spice and coconut cream but peppermint at this time of year usually that is what I'm able to get from the area which I used to live in. But I should realize that this is a small town and to Lion service numerous surrounding towns. Other than that my experience shopping at Food Lion was fulfilled. I was able to get everything that I need it and will continue shopping there as well as another competitor from time to time which is 12 miles away. Thank you for your service and I must say customer service if I was to rate from 1 to 10 10 being the best I would give it a 10 the employees are very happy Pleasant and are very helpful to the consumer.

This food lion is my favorite place to shop! The cashiers are always super nice and make eye contact while speaking with you. The shelves are always stocked and the store is always clean.

A wk bef my I debit card was double charged. I was quickly refunded. On this visit the cashier stated my card was declined. I don't know what she did but there are no issues with my card. My friend tried to use his SNAP card. The food total was more than available on the card but the cashier wouldn't let him use his card. The cashier was busy chatting for 15 mins with another employee who didn't work in the area.

Went in to get chicken strips, and they only had 4 packs of rotten looking ones, on the shelf. Meat manager refused to let me have one of the good packs in the back, because the date on the rotten chicken was tomorrow. They had all been marked as "Manager specials." My milk, they didn't even have. This is hands down the WORST Food Lion, I've ever had to shop at!
