I truly hate stores who advertise something for one price and you get to the register and it's double the posted price and nobody can explain why and look at you like you're wrong. If you advertise 4.99 sushi on Wednesday then it should be 4.99 not 10.09. I'm just not going to come back to giant. False advertising is disgusting

Giant has taken a page from other stores like Home Depot and has nearly eliminating all cashiers. There was only one cashier available Sunday afternoon at 4:30. This is the final straw. Will be taking all primary shopping to Harris Teeter. They even were proudly announcing the screw the customer experience with an audible announcement, something to the effect of: allocating resources to make the customer experience better.If I had an absolutely full cart of groceries, I’d have left it in the store and walked out.

The new layout seems to make even less sense than the old one did. Cold spreads (hummus, tzatziki, some cheeses) are now facing away from other refrigerated items and next to rotisserie chickens, loose muffins have now somehow wandered to the entire other side of the store bakery area and are nowhere near other loose/bulk baked goods (donuts, bagels) and are nowhere near the coffee shop where someone may want to, you know, grab a muffin. The produce is better than it has been but the loose fresh veggies are usually not good quality. The broccoli in particular is usually wilted, limp, discolored and full of mold and even works if you cut into the heads. It blows my mind that the recent “renovation” project adds exactly zero actual features or functionality to the store. they simply added way more lightbulbs and some different-colored paint. I can’t believe there are no higher-end(?) features like a fresh meat counter, sub shop or additional bakery offerings. I know giant is a lower price point store but let’s be real the prices aren’t that much lower than Harris teeter and the features/quality are worlds apart. Now Harris Teeter is no Wegmans but still, Giant, take some notes?

Its close by, but if I had the option, I'd go elsewhere. Miserable employees and all of them have attitudes. Will help, but only cause its their job. They get two stars for having a clean parkinglot and being close by.

By far The best manager( Mr.Jason )and staff I have encountered at a grocery store . The shelves look amazing . That alone shows pride and attention to detail. I have a large family and I frequent the store on a regular basis . While shopping I have always been treated with kindness and have observed the Mutual respect between the manager and staff.A well run establishment.

The prices aren’t generally the best for mainstream products but this is my closest grocery store so I use it when it’s convenient. I shop Nature’s Promise and like that store brains and it’s prices. The staff is usually very helpful and friendly. They always seem well staffed and the managers are always around. I’ve observed them making friendly conversation with their employees and also constructively guiding them. It feels like a community store, where regular customers are acknowledged. My favorite part about this location is that they kept the natural/organic foods all in one area so it’s very convenient for those of us who avoid other products. This location also has the best stock of any. I can find more variety than at many locally owned natural food stores. The prices of their natural foods are usually comparable to those stores too and Giant is more likely to put some of those items on sale. This location is always clean and organized.

This whole store is r…….They look at brown person weirdly. Expressing says everything. Like they never seen this kind of person.Today 8/29/2022 I was using restroom 🚽 one of the employee name Micheal his name was on the badge he was wearing. There was 2 🚽he could have use the other commode/toilet but he was pushing me to come out from there. He was asking are you ok back there? I said yes , what you want? He said , nothing I’m waiting.. he was peeping all the time standing front of the door!then he again ask,What are you doing man? Then knocking the door ,he looks really angry. I can understand he needs to use it but the other one was not occupied could have used that one. It’s been like 5-7 minutes maybe. He seems kind of sick person to me. There’s a gap on the door by which you can see the toilet 🚽 and he was peeping all the time. Could have got out earlier but it was kind of scary I was about to video record him but I didn’t but now I think I should have done that. He is crazy!!!

First time shopper at this location and let me tell you, I will absolutely be back! Shelves were well stocked. Employees were friendly and attentive. I love how the store is laid out, especially the produce section. There was no clutter in the aisles either which was nice to see.

Produce is horrible, but the worst part are the people working here. Meat dept is NEVER there, cashiers have the personality of Elmer's glue. Save yourself the hassle and do self checkout or Harris Teeter is much better. I gladly go 15 minutes out of the way to avoid this Giant when possible. Update since remodel: I went in here to grab some ice. The store is so incredibly bright now that several shoppers, myself included, have to wear sunglasses. It's especially bad when the skylights let in sunlight on top of the brighter-than-the-surface-of-the-sun LED's. Also, who thought it would be a good idea to restrict the entrance to one door?? Hello, you have handicapped customers now fighting over a handful of parking spots. This is by far the worst run grocery store in the area. Yup, I'm done with Giant.

Love the New York strip steaks and seafood. The shrimp are always fresh. Seasoned the way you ask. They cook them at the store for you.Lots of fresh food and refreshments . Quaint food for a quality price.

Combine a reluctance to adequately staff the checkout lines with digital coupons that work only part of the time, and you get poor customer service. But the staff is generally nice. Constant remodeling is disruptive.

Great shop. Honestly, I fell on ice outside in their parking lot, but the manager was super caring. Didn't try to deny fault or wave the issue away. It wasn't more than a twisted ankle, but I was so impressed. Kudos.

The staff at Giant have always been very kind, helpful and efficient. There is lots of beautiful fresh produce as well as great specialty areas.These counters include a well stocked deli, delicious bakery options,as well as both seafood and meat counters. The seafood counter will even steam your "catch" while you shop. They always have really unique pre-marinated or seasoned meat options that make dinner preparation a breeze.The prices are the main reason for a 4 and not a 5. Giant is the most expensive grocery store in the area. The thing that keeps me coming back is their great sales and "Manager Specials". I love to stock up on foods when the sales flyer comes. I would shop Giant more often if their regular prices were more in line with the competition.

Other than having to wear a mask (not the stores fault) good experience. Found some Texas Toast for my thick French toast that I'm always looking for. Sam was an energetic, friendly cashier with whom we enjoyed speaking.

So the Giant is great but the Starbucks is tough. There’s an employee, Elizabeth, who has never once thanked me and always been rude. I asked her a simple question about ingredients today and she was super rude again. I never complain but damn. Someone please find out what’s going on with Elizabeth. It’s like my 10th ruin with her and always so angry.

The pharmacy is great!!! On the "dark side", whoever makes grocery stock selections needs a check-in from neck up. If you like something, it's almost a guarantee it will go off the shelfnever to be seen again in the near future.

I need to work on customer service. I couldn't find a small cart and three employees were looking at the door at the snow and I asked him where the carts were and they said over the other end of the store. Not one of them I don't get a card first. Then when I went to check out at the self-help I had to ask if they cleaned the station I was at three of them looked at me and said they'll get back to me. I need to improve initiative in that store

I have used this pharmacy a half dozen times or more, and the service has always been very good. I have got flu shots there for the last two years and they have been completely satisfactory. I have never seen any reason to drive further.
