Staff is very friendly, but this store is always running low on very basic items. The produce section is always picked over and what little produce is left, is rotten. I have stopped buying produce here all together because it’s never good. I’ve gone in store to shop and since having a baby, do the curbside pickup. I’ve had my curbside order canceled on two separate occasions because the store was sold out of 90% of my order. We don’t purchase anything special, typical milk, potato chips, etc. I only gave this store two stars because the staff is always kind and helpful, but recently I’ve had to start shopping at Walmart again which really stinks because we love the fuel points from Kroger.

I love going to this Kroger because everyone is so welcoming and helpful! I appreciate all the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. Sometimes people fail to realize that groceries stores are a luxurie and without employees working hard to stock, inventory and order these items, we wouldn't have all the selections available!People also fail to realize that inflation is an economic issue and not an individual store issue. If goods aren't being shipped in then stores won't get the products. Or when people don't want to work it takes longer for things to get stocked!Keep up the good work and know you won't always please everyone but that goes with any job;) Also know that people really do appreciate what you all do even though it may not seem like it!

They were out of a lot of items and I couldn't easily find a few items, but over all it wasn't a bad experience, just really inconvenient when you look for an item and they happen to have 1 to a few and out of the other items and you to back in a day or two and they are still out of a lot of items. It's like they aren't sticking their shelves or they aren't getting in shipments or something I don't know but it is aggravating and frustrating.

Not sure they know the definition of fillet. Bought a salmon fillet from the seafood department and it was loaded with pin bones. Luckily I checked. This was dinner for the dogs. They should have stated it wasn't a true fillet. This one incident is huge and may be the only reason I need to never support them again.

It's not good. There is less selection on Kroger brand vitamins. Scallops out of stock.

Was told by an employee that Kroger's phasing-out gluten-free products. Big mistake on their part I am now an ex shopper of Kroger. And their everyday items are too expensive compared to other places.

Never count on the weekly add, because they often dont have it. The explanation is that they are a small store, so they never know if a kroger truck is coming (really?)....when you dont have the items you maybe get a rain check, mostly not like in other stores. Where is the kroger customer service at this store????? But i just saw that a lot of people are not happy with this store.... wonder why ;-)....smh. Other Kroger locations give out rain checks if the sale item is not available, this store is not so customer friendly.....

This is the first Kroger I’ve been to that I consistently have to look at expiration dates on items to make sure they’re not expired. Several times I’ve gone home only to realize items I’ve purchased (many not even being discounted) were expired/ rotten etc. I also find the fresh produce is lacking here and shelves empty quickly. I’ve recently been going to Food lion more now because of this which is new for me as Kroger has always been my go-to in other areas I’ve lived and they’ve never had these issues.

I had to put one star because I couldn’t put no stars. The pharmacy here is TRASH. It takes them HOURS to fill a prescription and then when you get there it may or may not even be filled still and they will tell you to wait 30 minutes to the additional 30 minutes they told you to wait three times before that. They need to put someone Who knows how to do the job more efficiently and at a quicker pace. I understand you have to put it in the computer and the insurance has to accept it, but this isn’t 1990 and the Internet is a lot more faster than DialUp end it shouldn’t take them hours to put a prescription in the computer and put pills in a bottle and get it in a bag to the customer at a good quick pace, not 3 1/2 hours later.

I forgot one of my bags at the self-checkout counter yesterday, July 16, 2022 (Sat) around 2:30 pm. When I came back, both the staff member at the self-checkout and the staff at customer service desk were very accommodating and helpful. Thank you guys so much for your hard work! Keep it up!

I feel i am being generous giving two stars. Worst Kroger ever! Empty shelves - pitiful produce etc. - but they expanded their wine department? I mostly go to Food Lion now as at least they seem to try!

Rotisserie chicken dry enough to choke on and flavorless to boot with soggy skin. Prices double that of food lion, Aldi, Walmart. They don’t even sell kimchi. Associates are rude.

This is a lower quality Kroger, compared to other locations. Parking lot offers few cart returns, which could be difficult for handicap parking. Small store, awkward layout, poor quality of produce and deli section. Few registers open. They are often out of or do not offer the selection of brands that I prefer. Staff is always friendly and the place appears clean. They do offer a nice beer and wine section. I recommend this location for quick visits and not a large grocery shopping trip.

Great floral shop. Florist is very nice to work with. I saw a review on the news of rotisserie chickens, they stated that not all of them were actually good for you. Of the good for you kroger was the healthiest one on the market. I decided to try one tonight. Extremely delicious!

Same as most stores, you an get some great deals and some not so good deals, depends what you buy. As for service they had one lane open at 11 am with a line of 7 people with full carts and the one employee was handicap. I personally have a disability so it's nothing against the employee but they needed more lines open for sure....to 20 minutes to fill the cart and 47 minutes to get to the checkout register.

So much easier....we used the new hand held scanner and s annrd everything as we put it in the cart....they had cart bags that stretch across the basket and have a divider for $5 and gave $5 0ff for using the scanner, so the bag was free....we bought and extra bag and when we got to the self check out, we just paid for our groceries and rolled the basket to our car and put the 2 bags from the cart into the car! It was awesome!!! Did not have to unload and scan anything at the register, everything was already scanned. It made it so much easier. Instead of having 15 bags for my $200 worth of groceries to carry in the house....I had just 2 bags with my divided groceries to carry in.

The whole store is being ran by kids. Literally not an adult to be found most of the time. I’ve never seen somewhere that allowed employees to stand around chatting amongst themselves and ignoring customers. Well I guess it’s okay if the manager on duty is doing the same. No one really appeared to be in charge on several visits. The deli is the worst area. On one visit the employees were standing around gossiping and talking about the previous customer. On the very next visit the employees in the deli were in a conversation about covid vaccines and expressing their personal views and rather or not they would or not get the vaccine even if their employer said they were required to. At this point I will use the pharmacy because and do my grocery shopping else where.

The customer service here is horrible. Every single time I come to this store the employees are in a circle, talking away. This is what happens when you have 8 self checkouts and no one at the registers. The self checkouts are slow and quirky, constantly needing an associate to put their code in, and good luck finding one. Last night my husband had to actually yell out to get someone to assist. They were all over talking to the security guard and even when they looked over, they decided not to leave their conversation. If this store lasts a year I will be surprised.

This Kroger replaced a Farm Fresh formally located in the same building. Locals were hoping for a store at least equal to that replaced, and hopefully close to their York County store. Nowhere close! Not even as good as the old Farm Fresh. No fresh seafood section,no shrimp steamed to order, limited meat selection (not even ham steaks) I am within walking distance of this store, but other than occasional milk, bread, butter, and egg purchases, will be doing my main grocery shopping at Food Lion.

I love Kroger!!! I am so happy that they moved a store into the Farm Fresh location in Hayes. I have been a Kroger customer for over 20 years and moved to Gloucester 14 years ago. I still shopped at Kroger faithfully...every week after we moved...waiting for Kroger to move to G-Town. Thank you, Kroger for answering my prayers.

Well, I was looking forward to finally trying out the “new” Kroger in Gloucester. My fiancé saw there were some “great deals” on some items I would normally buy - so I said let’s go. Upon entering, I was pleased that the store was bright & clean. Sadly, everything went downhill from there. The sale items turned out to be typical “limited quantity deals” where they advertise a great deal, but only for the first handful of people who come in. After that, it’s just an empty shelf space for the remainder of the sale. Ok, so most stores do similarly sneaky things, & I was willing to give them a pass. We found a few good deals for Card Members, and filled up our cart & headed for checkout. Now this was a late Saturday afternoon on Memorial Day Weekend, so you would expect all hands on deck at the cash registers, right? How about, “NO hands on deck”...not one single cashier! Just those annoying little walk up self-checkouts. Now, I don’t like self checkouts as a rule...but I especially don’t like them when I have an entire cart load of groceries. And if I have to use them, I at least want the option of having the conveyor belt type checkout such as one sees at Walmart. But no - no cashiers, no conveyor belt self-checkouts, NO OTHER OPTION so we had to hassle through the tiny kiosk style self-checkout.Meanwhile, I’m listening to other people complaining about the same thing, as the STORE MANAGER looks on, while huddled with several other employees a safe distance away. What, the store manager is not capable of running a cash register where computers do 99% of the work? Same question about his “team” around him? I heard one of the employees say to an unhappy lady behind me that she was sorry, but there was a “mix up in scheduling” and no cashiers were available. Now, one would think that the store manager of a busy grocery chain would require some degree of organizational skill & common sense. So tell me, how in the world can a store manager be so incompetent as to NOT SCHEDULE ANY CASHIERS TO WORK ON MEMORIAL DAY SATURDAY???It goes without saying that my first visit to Gloucester Kroger was also my last. I guess it’s back to Food Lion & Walmart.

It was my first time in this store everyone was nice until I came up on the part where they sell cigarettes and lottery I asked for 20$ worth of tickets and the girl slung my cards on the counter and I slung the money back at her on the counter Money or whatever it is that they got If somebody hand Money to you common Courtesy is going to hand it back to them and sling it on the counter that's rude and Disrespectful and bad for business

Nice, clean, new store. The salad bar was well kept as was the fresh food and produce. I wish this location carried sushi but the Starbucks makes up for it a little.

Good prices and deals for your everyday groceries on your list. I will leave a review suggestion here to start tightening down your toilet seats in the mens room. Quite bad they are so loose, someone could fall off and hurt themselves.
