I like food lion, it's close home and I can find what I need, most of the time , they have courteous cashiers, but most of the time they don't have a very big selection of meets in the meet department, the parking is good , they even help people to thier car if you need help. Which is very good .. I give it a B+.

I love every single thing that food-lion has, I especially love all the desserts like ice cream and all the candies, they are the best grocery stores ever, I also love all the sodas that they have.

I realized I forgot my wallet at the cashier. There was a young gentleman helped me with saving all my bags. He took care of the hot food, fridge items and the freezer items individually and he was very polite. Very good customer service.

We stay in this store I think the entire staff at Food Lion knows who we are we go at least every other day they are so friendly and good conversation as their scanning our groceries

We went at a busy time, 5:30 pm, everyone getting off and running in for dinner! Luckily they had almost all lines open at this time to accommodate for the traffic, and they also are the only store at Gloucester point to have the Big bags of cat food right now and also the only store to have the new mini cinnamon toast crunch, mini trix and mini ressee's puffs cereal!!! Not many left hurry and get yours, we just love the cinnamon toast crunch and trix mini's, a must try!!!

Food lion in, Hayes could be better if they had more meats that were on the sale ad. They dont really care about the handicapped people who needs a cart! The meat dept. Needs to be bigger!

So 1 star for one simple fact. I came here because it’s close. When I found out they discontinued the take and bake baguettes because “it sells to well” and was told Food Lion “discontinues products that sell to well” I was enraged and though $&@? you to the management!!! I came to your store for certain items but if you will discontinue them because of customer demand. You can rot! Your employees are good people by the way 10/10 and a clean store, but if you will intentionally not sell me what I want, I hope bad things for you

Unfortunately during this pandemic craze that the media/government threw fuel on, the shelves are bare, it has been getting better though. If you want good deals you have to have the food lion card. Which I find to be a pain in the keister. Just give the prices without making customers jump through hoops.

Store food shoppers are terrible and I suspect it’s due to management. You place your order online; in a reasonable time you hear from the shopper as they start to shop. After that, there is no further communication. They do not answer questions or respond to any comments/additional items you may want. I have asked them repeatedly to check with me before checking out with my order. Never once have they done so. I end up getting the wrong items nearly every time! I no longer use this service even though it is very convenient. I have complained to management to no avail. So it’s back to Walmart for me!!

This is my go-to store. I like the way it's laid out, things are easy to find, good selection, great prices. Only issue I have is the checkout clerks need to be trained on how to bag groceries properly. They overload the bags and put things together that shouldn't, like bread or eggs with something heavy.

Food Lion here is clean always has what we need unless it's during a pandemic of course but beyond that they try to get whatever it is you need quickly as possible to make sure everyone has what they need. Unfortunately there are other people out there that are hoarders and think they need to buy up all the toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, and all other paper products because they need it more than anyone else does but Food Lion fixed that eventually put a limit on how much of each product each person could but at one visit. Food Lion is a great place to shop if you don't want the big stores that have everything there including things you probably don't need and everyone there shopping making the potential of being exposed to Covid even more likely than going to someplace like Food Lion.

I like shopping there. They have reasonable prices and a nice selection. Not 5 star because i just went to the customer service desk hoping to find out how I could apply to work there part time. Instead I just stood there while a manager and an employee carried on a personal, non work related conversation. Then they both looked at me and then continued their conversation. No acknowledgement, no I'll be right with you. So I just walked away. And still no sorry how can I help you. So no customer service at the customer service desk. That's ok i don't need much service while I'm shopping. And as for the job. Never mind. Do not want to work at a place with such a low standard of customer service. My cashier was great and even the guy stocking drinks in the cooler had a big smile on his face. But help at the help desk......

Good lord... every single employee looks like they are completely miserable. No one ever smiles, employees STAY in your way when they are in the aisles and expect customers to move and shop around them. I hate going to this Food Lion, the employees are loud, rude and obnoxious. They are completely oblivious to customers to the point that I will start going to Farm Fresh up the road. At least they acknowledge me with a warm smile and let me get my shopping done without feeling like I'm in a hostile situation.

If i could give this food lion zero stars iI would. The management is rude and disrespectful. The way they treat the workers is horrible. The stockers leave food on the shelves until to molds. Most of the baked goods sit out for about a week before being thrown away. It’s gross.

I use this location weekly and it’s always stocked with what I need. My only issue is more than usual there’s not many cashiers so the wait can be longer than expected

Under new management Mrs. Elizabeth Duke as well as other Assistant Managers, Cashiers and other staff goes out of their way to helping customers with their inquiries and shopping needs. Store cleanliness and atmosphere greatly improved and pleasant shopping experiences.

Such an improvement since the remodel. A sorely needed attitude adjustment has been made. Much better service now. Deli better too. Give it another chance. Only game in town at the moment for lower Gloucester.
