The best place to grocery shop on Harrisonburg! All of the staff and management are always super friendly and helpful. Everything is well organized and fully stocked. The new layout of the store is a major improvement from before. Now there are places to self-checkout or to have someone scan your items for you. I believe this store even has more options than the full Walmart in town, as far as grocery and health/beauty goes. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could!

Make sure you use the restroom BEFORE going to this Walmart. There is only 3 stalls in the front of the store and today is the 3rd time (twice in 2 weeks, again a few months ago) that Walmart employees clogged up all 3 bathrooms sitting on their phones. As a customer you’re standing there about to have an emergency and they just non-Chalantly come out the bathrooms mostly at the same time or one right after another. One time a Walmart employee was screaming in Spanish to someone on her phone. I have even spoken with the pharmacy about it who says they have also complained to management. Sounds like managers need to check the bathroom cameras and implement a bathroom break chart for repeated offenders!

They started doing discount stickers on items. Fun to go in and shop and look for those. It's a win-win for Walmart and the customer. Hope you continue this policy.

It wasn't our usual Walmart stop as we just needed to pick up a few things we didn't normally find. The selection was a little better grade than the other Walmarts in town. Easy in out. They have refined their self-serve registers from the last trip there.

This Walmart has the BEST Customer Service Ladies and I Salute You All because You Smile 😁 ALL the Time and Never let Every Day Worries get You Down. All the Cashier's are so Beautiful and Young. There was a Caucasian Gentleman Helping get The Carts in today and He had the BEST Attitude of ALL Your Staff. I didn't catch His Name but Extremely Friendly and He Loved His Job. He is a College Student too.Whoever The Manager is "Bravo" 👏👏Because Your Staff goes Beyond Their Call of Duty each Time I am in there by Helping Me.

Convenient, clean, good selection! They have recently reorganized the store to accommodate full service checkout. The aisles are longer, and the pick-up area has been moved to the front of the store. Mostly all self check out.

Mighty fine!!! Employees that are eager to help. When you just want to get some grub, go to the Neighborhood Market, and avoid the craziness of the big store across from JMU. Easy in, easy out! I will return. Still has good prices.

This Walmart is amazing for its smaller size. I can always find even unusual items that I need. The employees on the floor are very helpful if I can't find something. Gas is always the best price here, too.

This Walmart on Port Rd across from The Sentara RMH is Wonderful. The Staff goes Out of Their Way and Smiles are Famous Here. The Customer Relation Team is Nice but You can Tell MARGIE IS MISSED.WHY DID YOU LET THIS WONDERFUL LADY GO WALMART ???YOU SHOULD HAVE PAID HER MORE MONEY.EVERYONE LOVED HER AND IT HAS BROKEN MY HEART THAT SHE HAS LEFT YOUR COMPANY.

Staff is always friendly, store is clean, and the store is always well stocked. Review would be 5 stars but they often don't have enough cashier's working during the afternoon rush so you have to stand in line awhile. Their pickup service also leaves a bit to be desired with substitutions not being made and items missed being put in with your order completely. They always make it right but it's annoying.

This store is ALWAYS clean with great selection of meat and produce! I love the online grocery pickup and is something we use every single weekend! With four kids and a jam packed schedule, it makes life so much easier for us! The employees here are friendly and seem quite happy working here - which is rare to find these days! The Store Manager here is also friendly and goes out of his way to make sure you are finding what you need. I could go on.... but I think you get the point.

A lot less crowded than the big Walmart on Burgess rd. it’s all self check out though. I don’t think there’s any lanes with a cashier. I think you’d need to go to customer service if you had accessibility needs. If there are other options they weren’t readily visible. But I was able to quickly find what I needed and get in and out.

The store was busy, but employees were helpful. The only thing I don't like about this store is all registers are self checkout. It took me longer to checkout then it did to shop. The good part of my experience was that I was able to find everything I was looking for.

I love the grocery pickup they offer. My order is always accurate and the employees are friendlyand efficient.However, I don’t enjoy having to personally walk in. There are always employees smoking out front. You have to walk through their cloud to get inside.

I used to love this store but today will be the last visit for me unless I can get a online order pick up time that works with my schedule or unless I need just one item. The fact that they took away all of the registers and replaced them with self checkout is unbelievable. It may have saved the store some money not having to pay a cashier, but not everyone wants to or is able to do all of that for themselves. Seems to me they could have had a few regular lines for those who have a lot in their cart.

Haven't been in here very often but when I have, it hasn't been too bad. Pretty quiet and not very busy. Only issue I had was that the fruit there was pretty sketchy. The workers are ok and maintenance is on point. (I dropped a gallon of milk and they were quick to clean it up.)

I loved this store until I went there and they now have all self checkouts. I have not seen price drop or the store more stocked so what are they doing with the workers? Well there was 6 that day watching people check themselves out. And I waited in line for 40 minutes just to get to a self checkout. Guess it's back to food lion

This Walmart location is great. Friendly people, good service, and not too crowded. Good selection of the usual items.I highly recommend it. Keep up the good work Port Rd Walmart folks.

I will be supporting my local Walmart on a regular basis because Walmart ownership invested in our Denver Broncos! If you could try to start offering more local meat/veggie/fruit options, my friend Stefan and I would appreciate it :)

I completely dislike only having self-checkout registers. If you have a cart full of groceries and many fresh produce items, it takes FOREVER to scan everything due to lack of experience. I now only go there when I just need several items even though it is closer to where I live.
