Place isn't ran well, understaffed (see pic 1,2) where theres only 2 checkout lanes open leading to long lines. When lines exist, no mgmt gets involved to open up another lane or 2, staff doesn't seem care (can't blame them, when you work for mgmt that doesn't care, that rubs off on the staff), have to check items you buy to insure there not out of date.(had to approach customer service 2 seperate times about expired products i founf while shopping). Isnt well stocked (see pic 3,4,5,6,7). Place isn't clean (see pic 8, yes, that's MOLD growing inside the deli case).Unfortunately not a recommended place to shop.

Great place for good variety of fresh food. You can find everything from seafood, sushi, meat, to bakery and fresh farm produce. Check deli for fresh cheese, pizza, subs and salads. Fresh flowers. Starbucks is a great addition!

Always clean and lots of options different from other stores. Pharmacy is always cheerful and quick in and out. Love the meat departments fresh options. The local gore sausage is the best!

My first visit to this store brand. Comparable to other local chains. Found what I was looking for easily.I particularly liked the deal on fried chicken, dark meat. My local chain doesn't offer this.

Everything you need and some more. I love the little kiddie corner and that this company is part of Giant but not really. Good fun staff and fresh products all around. A store that beings goods into the neighborhood. It does feel like it could try harder not to look like aleverynother chain grocery store. Isn't funny how they are looking increasingly alike.

Walked to this place for a salad and a bottle of salad dressing using my benefits card for food got my food and waiting in line just to be told it only covered the salad dressing that I’d still owed for the salad when I’ve gotten salads from there salad bar with that card before I told them I used the card before on a salad that I don’t have money for it now making me look stupid in front of other customers I will never step food back in a Martinis again if that’s how they want to treat the customers only thing nice about my trip was the cashier was nice but the person running the front made me look like I’m stupid

Martin's in Harrisonburg is nothing short of phenomenal! The produce section is like stepping into a garden of freshness—always crisp, vibrant, and inviting. And talk about selection! They seem to have everything under the sun, making it a one-stop shop for all my grocery needs. The staff are incredibly helpful, ready to assist with a smile whenever I have a question or need assistance finding an item. Plus, their user-friendly app makes couponing a breeze, saving me both time and money with every visit. Martin's has truly set the bar high for grocery shopping experiences in Harrisonburg.

Go to the deli and ask for Chris. He is the ABSOLUTE best! Helped us build the perfect charcuterie spread for New Years. He was knowledgeable and made the whole experience such a blast! For 2024, Martin's needs to give this man a raise!

Lost another customer due to the self check out. Walmarts self check out is flawless..no problems. Martins self check out is a nightmare on top of the high prices and mediocre quality the self check out helper is constantly running back and forth to fix things..either pay him to ring up groceries or invest in a software that works.

The store is large with a nice selection, although usually not the lowest prices. Unfortunately, the great selection is hindered by an unfriendly staff particularly behind the customer service desk where the store appears to be run by young people in their 20's with very little experience. They are so rude and condescending that it makes one happy to see the robot they have patrolling the aisles.The french fries have been mostly out of stock for months. I've been charged more than the displayed price on items numerous times. The self-checkout is a very crowded and frustrating experience (Walmart is a lot better). It's my least favorite store in Harrisonburg.

A well laid out floor plan, lots of varieties to choose from, get the Martin's card and save every time you shop. Lots of carts and huge parking lot. Clean restrooms, good produce. Delicious deli. Huge seafood section.

Had a bad experience with the cashier named Paul. He was super unhelpful and unwilling to help me look up my membership account. He was even visibly mad when I asked to look it up with my phone number. Ended up having to pay more than I thought I was going to. Doesn’t make me want to return.

Best place to shop in Harrisonburg. A great variety of veggies & fruit, good quality meat & seafood, and surprisingly good sushi for a supermarket (look for sushi sales on Wednesdays).My only complaint, and it's a pretty glaring one: the website is incredibly bad. It'll list a plethora of different items as "available in store", yet when you show up a few minutes later: they are nowhere to be seen. It's 2023, it's not that hard to come up with a competent POS system that deducts from stock with each purchase made. I'm sure I'm not the only person who's been burnt this way.That being said, it's still my favorite place to get groceries in town. Just don't get your hopes up if they have something listed as "available" online.

Martin's is a very wonderful place to go shopping for groceries and other needs and I say that if you go there to shop and don't find what you're looking for you are at the wrong place since it has more than a Walmart Supercenter in the grocery section in my opinion.

Now 7 AM open, even more inconvienient if you are on the way in to work in the AM. Long fall from the 24 hour open days.One of the more expensive options in town and still pretty limited offers for products.Decent staffing. Not a specific knock on these nice people, as much as a commentary on pandemic supply issues. Have a backup plan for any grocery.Still not enough check outs open.at any time pretty much.

Didn't know I had to have a # to be waited on in the deli until I seen a customer get one,the 2 behind the deli didn't say anything just looked at me as if I wasn't there.POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Mostly good experiences here! I love their different selections of exotic fresh fruit. I didn't like the flies buzzing around the potatoes, though. But I do like their cleaning robot Marty, who can be seen rolling around the store.

Nice open & bright grocery store. Has a good deli & bakery. Visited this week and found only one lane open and everyone else crowded into the self-checkout area. This is not a discount grocery. This is a full price store. I would expect to see more full service lanes open.

They have everything including great customer service.Got to sample some Boar's Head speciality mayo with cracked peppercorns April 16th and it was amazing! We also sampled the Irish Sharp White Cheddar, Boar's Head ham on a cracker and man it was good. We bought the Pepperhouse Gourmaise, the Irish cheese, and some rare roast beef. Then went over to the bakery and bought some hard sub rolls and came home and made Frech Dips with the Gourmaise, roast beef and Irish cheddar with Au just for dipping. Let me just say yummy yummy and yummy.Today we made a club sandwich using the Gourmaise and now our bottle is half full 😂This is such a great store to try new things. Thanks Martin's

Absolutely no help. If you need any assistance you have to go hunting for it. Only 1 cashier to ring up groceries (6 customers deep), otherwise it's self checkout. It's not the nice, customer friendly store it use to be.
