Just tried Kline’s Dairy Bar for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. Very tasty ice cream, nice workers and a pretty good selection. I do wish there was inside seating, but overall it was a good experience with tasty desserts.

We were staying at Massanutten resort this week and drove to Kline’s one evening. There was quite a queue but it moved quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed the sundae, banana split and flurries. The flurries are generously portioned and we probably could have shared but my kids weren’t complaining!!

The caramel crunch ice cream was great and I totally recommend going there if you love soft serve! The only thing is when the ice cream was given to me it was very lopsided making it extremely hard to eat (it was barely on the cone and about to fall off), but that didn’t hinder my experience too much. I also would note that they don’t have very many flavors at one time (just chocolate, vanilla, and the specialty flavor at that time) so if you enjoy a wide variety this might not be the place for you. I still would definitely go back though!

Very great custard style ice cream. I also personally tried the coffee and ice cream mix and it was delicious. Perfect treat for a hot day. My girlfriend went to JMU and used to frequent this establishment. Thanks again.

The ice cream was wonderful here! I'm only giving a 4 star because they still have their outdoor seating closed. Otherwise I would have given them a 5 star. It's time to take that stuff down and allow people to sit down. It's outdoors for goodness sake!

Really good ice cream, and frozen coffee drinks!Friendly service and very clean. Prices are in line with what you would expect, not too expensive, not a cheap ice cream place. Oooh! They have real whipped cream that is thick and yummy!

I took Two Friends that haven't eaten at Kline's in about 5 years for a Treat!!. The One Begged me for a Banana Split so I said today is Your Special Day and I gave in. The FLAVOR OF THE WEEK IS "BLACK RASPBERRY" well that just made Everyone including Myself so Happy!!! THANKS Kline's 💟

We went here based on community recommendations. Look the ice cream was nice but highly over priced. My issues are always customer service. Look, be polite, be kind, act like you care especially when taking lots of money for sugar. Staff was a bit rude, and just slapped the ice cream in the bowl. No presentation. Topping on the bottom with ice cream filled to the brim. Throwing bowls down and slamming their window. I don’t know it just wasn’t a great experience with my family.

Easily the best and freshest ice cream/milkshakes in the valley. Their flavors change weekly and by location. Vanilla, chocolate, and their weekly special are the ONLY flavors available so if you're feeling like peach ice cream that day but their flavor of the week is brownie batter, too bad! Oh well, all their flavors are good.

A much beloved Shenandoah Valley institution - the ice cream is always so good! There is always chocolate and vanilla and there's a special flavor that changes weekly. You can find these on their website. Some of my favorite special flavors include lemon ginger snap, chocolate peanut butter, and pumpkin.

Great ice cream, but they don’t have any signs for when they’re closed for “weather.” The employees just stand there and watch you instead of telling you they’re closed/not serving customers.Also, ice cream quantity is never consistent- sometimes it’s a lot and sometimes it’s a little. It’s typically lopsided which melts immediately on a hot day. Super delicious though!

Very good local ice cream chain. I respect their limited ice cream flavors that are changed every week. A classic go to is vanilla ice cream in a waffle bowl with wet nuts and strawberries. Highly recommend!

Best ice cream ever. All hand churned cream. Menu options include banana splits, floats, ice cream in a cone or a cup, milkshakes (you can choose to get it malted or not), and sundaes with various different toppings. They have great customer service, an outdoor patio area, and reasonable prices. The best part is the fact that they're open all year! Some other ice cream shops close for winter, but not Kline's.

A nice classic custard style ice cream, been adding about 60yrs. I love ice cream, and this place is still a top favorite in my book. If it's your 1st time going, be aware that they offer chocolate, vanilla, and a flavor of the week for ice cream. Milk shakes and Sundaes have multiple flavor choices. Also, probably the best banana split in town.

There is a HUGE variety of soft serve ice cream here! The portion sizes are also generous. My hubby loves the crispy waffle cones. The GIANT banana splits just about spill over the side of the container. You can even get a small cup of ice cream for your dog and enjoy it together while sitting on their patio Get extra napkins because you will get drips and sticky fingers!
